Well, put bad apples together with good apples and then look how fast the good ones go bad. The bad ones won't turn good. I grew up on a farm and know it.

The protest march in Charlottesville was not organized by any organization that is trying to preserve the monuments. It was organized by Neo-Nazi and white supremacists groups. Hence, those groups where the first ones to show up fully armed with baseball bats, shields, helmets, their own gun-armed militia in battle gear etc.

And those who joined that march heard the chanting ("blood and soil", "Jews will not replace us", etc.) and saw the Swastika signs. Whoever joined then that march is complicit, plain and simple.

And last but not least, stop judging me as you don't know me at all. I grew up in Romania and after leaving it, made it my life mission to see as much of the world as possible. In the past 20 years i went to 100+ countries, repeatedly, including Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Lebanon and Israel. I met people from all walks of life, from a factory worker to government ministers and most certainly do not have the mindset that you are trying to insinuate i have.

If you could provide some sort of source that neo nazis organized I'd believe you but that is very very far from anything I've been able to find out about it so far.

You were quick to judge an entire march as nazi sympathizers and me as illiterate, so why don't you like it when people judge you based on your own texts? Rules for thee but not for me? Fits great with the mindset that everyone I don't like is a nazi.

"Organised by Jason Kessler, a former journalist and a member of the Proud Boys, an ultra-nationalist group, the "Unite the Right" rally was planned to voice opposition to the removal of a Confederate statue and has been described as one of the largest white supremacist events in recent US history."

"Before the rally, David Duke, the former Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), called on his supporters to descend on Charlottesville."

"The far-right groups have enlisted the Warlocks, a One Percenter motorcycle gang, for protection. "

Took 30 seconds to find out.

And, I did not judge an entire march as nazi sympathizers if you care to read properly. I stated that anyone marching with nazis are complicit for advancing the agenda of the nazi groups and that I would not call them "very fine people".

Hence, my comment about you not reading properly stands.

"I didn't say nazi sympathizers I said nazi accomplices learn to read".
That's what it sounds like.
They are all complicit and should be treated the same way as nazis but they are not nazis, all right got it.

Even if the quote you got from who knows where is correct I'm not seeing neo nazis arranging anything like you said.

Among the far-right groups engaged in organizing the march were the clubs of the neo-Nazi website The Daily Stormer,[21] The Right Stuff,[22] the National Policy Institute,[23] and four groups that form the Nationalist Front:[20] the neo-Confederate League of the South,[20] the Traditionalist Workers Party,[24] Vanguard America,[24] and the National Socialist Movement.[20] Other groups involved in the rally were the Ku Klux Klan,[6] the Fraternal Order of Alt-Knights,[24] the 3 Percenters,[9] Identity Evropa,[2] the Oath Keepers,[25] the American Guard,[26] the Pennsylvania Light Foot Militia,[27] the New York Light Foot Militia,[28] the Virginia Minutemen Militia,[29] the Detroit Right Wings,[30] the Rise Above Movement,[3] True Cascadia,[31] and Anti-Communist Action.[26]

Prominent far-right figures in attendance included National Policy Institute Chairman Richard Spencer,[32] entertainer Baked Alaska,[32] former Libertarian Party candidate Augustus Invictus,[33] former Klan Imperial Wizard David Duke,[34] Identity Evropa leader Nathan Damigo,[35] Traditionalist Youth Network CEO Matthew Heimbach,[32] Rebel Media journalist Faith Goldy,[36] Right Stuff founder Mike Enoch,[32] League of the South founder Michael Hill,[3] Red Ice host Henrik Palmgren,[37] Right Side Broadcasting Network host Nicholas Fuentes,[38] YouTube personality James Allsup,[38] AltRight.com editor Daniel Friberg,[39] former Business Insider CTO Pax Dickinson,[40] Right Stuff blogger Johnny Monoxide,[41] Daily Stormer writer Robert "Azzmador" Ray,[42] Daily Caller contributor and rally organizer Jason Kessler,[43] and Radical Agenda host Christopher Cantwell.[44][45] Gavin McInnes, the leader of the self-described "Western chauvinist" Proud Boys group, was invited to attend but declined because of an unwillingness "to be associated with explicit neo-Nazis."[46] In June, ahead of the rally, McInnes declared that "we need to distance ourselves from them," but "after backlash to the original disavowal flared-up from Alt-Right circles, the statement was withdrawn and replaced with another distancing the Proud Boys from the event yet also encouraging those who 'feel compelled' to attend."[47]

Did you see a single sign that they were protesting against taking down the statue or were there just nazi signs?

'nough said!

I'd agree that complicitly marching with a recognized neo-Nazi group would make you integral to their cause, and that would be stupid indeed. By the same token, I can imagine many decent, ordinary folk tagging along because they 'were there', and not likely to form their own march with banners stating 'we're not really with this lot but we can't be bothered to form our own group'.

Of course the danger lies in every objectionable cause that dare go against the beliefs of 'the left' being insta-branded nazis, fascists, nazi- sympathizers etc., simply for disagreeing with them. It's this agenda by the extremely biased media that will call any dissenters names and make them the baddies, it's a very simple narrative. Think Star Wars or LOTR...

I just can't fathom how 'grey' areas of debate are being erased so vehemently, it's all so black and white now. For such an enlightened, advanced and progressive race we sure are acting like a bunch of spactards :(:(

Really Goatie? You would just "tag" along when you see a march with people like in the pictures below???

The guys in battle gear are their own militia. Do you go to a rally armed liked that if you want to protest peacefully or "innocently" as Donnie put it?

This is not about being left, right, top, bottom, middle or whatever. This is about defying Nazism and race supremacy!!!

No dude, I wouldn't be within a hundred miles of them, by my choice, it's quite obvious (going by those pictures) that they represent a fairly militant, right-wing movement. But that's not to say that every single person that went along with them is Hitler MkII.

A 10-day march against white supremacy starts Monday. I can't believe the country is back on the god-awful racism. That is all CNN wants to talk about.

I wish we could get back to polices like healthcare and tax reform. I just had to buy health insurance (Obamacare) 2 days ago, premium cost/yr $7,472.04. Have to pay the first $1,000 for routine stuff like doctor visits before the insurance covers anything and then the first $5000 for any major heath issues.

The local pizza shop owner told me he was paying $26,000/yr. for himself and wife. His wife had to go find a job to get employer-based coverage.

Mate , I have read sum of your posts in this thread.

Unfortunately what you do not understand (including many others), is that president of u.s. is the same as Queen of England.
No matter who gets that position (Trump/obama/Abraham Lincoln. ...) , does'nt realy matter and makes no diff, he has no power.

There are bunch of powerful people with laots of money (including CIA who represents their interests) who determine which direction he should fly and act .
Yes, there was a president in u.s. who really tried to do something about racism and not to mention , he refused to obey the CIA.
He believed that the war should be ended. and that ,brought the position of those powerful people at risk.
well, we all know what happened at november 22, 1963, in Dallas and how he ended up.

Sometimes people either make a moral choice instead of a sensible one OR their act has a sense of patriotism.
Sadly some people are confused and consider it as an act of racism.
well, it's not . has nothing to do with it .
Not to mention the role of media in this kind of stuff .

At the same time , who ever denies the existence of racism in society or trys to justifying their acts ,, is whether stupid or realy naïf. or even worse, he/she is one of them. Bcuz it does existe and it's thr .

My primer concern is the people of u. s.
I visit u.s. regularly to visit my family. These people are kind and innocent. and i love them .
Unfortunately, sometimes they gonna have to pay the price.
and that's sad.

I don't want to downplay the relevance of health policies and tax reform, but that's not wat is at stake here. People have every right to be outraged about the white supremacy movements and their actions which equal Hitlerism and Nazism. In Germany it is strictly prohibited to walk the streets with Nazi signs --> prison time. It is for some strange reason allowed in the USA, but that doesn't change the fact that it is and will always remain a criminal, filthy and devilish movement. Mr T. claiming that 'very fine people' were on both sides is just... well it just makes me curse out loud, the man clearly lost his marbles. What was he thinking??

I think you are wrong, nowhere on CNN do they mention any march on Monday nor the word racism. Harvey has been pretty dominant in the past 2 days on all channels.

And $7.5k / year for health insurance is pretty normal, not cheap but not extortionately expensive either.

Here's the current screenshot from CNN, 01:45 GMT on 27th August 2017.

its not Germany or Amsterdam or anywhere else, it's America and free speech is protected by the 1st, amendment even if it's hateful. I personally don't like flag burning but it's protected. Same goes for Mosque leaders.

He actually said "some very fine people." I noticed whenever he's quoted on it in the forum the "some" is left out but it was stupid statement just the same.

The First Amendment protects the speech we hate to hear.

Hard as it is to accept, the right to express vile and repugnant thought is guarded by the Constitution. Of course, there’s no right to smash a car into others who have gathered to express alternative opinions. But it’s the job of elected officials and law enforcement to protect both the purveyors of ugly language and those who gather to protest it.

I posted a few weeks ago about how some of the far left Warren/Sanders supporters had a poster of Obama with a Hitler moustache drawn on him in front of the Watertown post office and how I explained to them it was disrespectful and they'd get more people stopping if the took it off. Next time I saw them the moustache was removed. Unfortunately, it is most likely protected under the 1st amendment.

As far as what US people are concerned most with.

Today they're covering the hurricane because they'd look foolish if they didn't but it was front and center during the election and way before it really. Even last night they'd flip between it and the hurricane.

The insurance is not considered a "cadillac plan" but there were cheaper plans.

I did not hear about the March from CNN. Sorry if it was confusing.

here is the March news.

I already mentioned that I did not want to downplay the relevance of health care but the topic at hand is about white supremacy - a country that under its amendment allows hate-speech and demonstrations by Nazis... well, us Europeans know all too well what that can lead to...

Americans know this too of course but the majority have no parents or grand parents who were murdered in camps or suffered under the boot of the Nazis when their countries were occupied, so as a result of these horrific experiences passed down to us most Europeans realise a little better that there should be zero tolerance for hate-speech and Nazi demonstrations and this is fortunately also provided for in European legislation.

Isn't that the jobs of the politicians who were elected.
The media will focus on what gets them ratings and ad dollars.

And why are you even watching CNN didn't you deem it fake news.

Of course it's the job of the duly elected and if America wants to move forward they'll start electing more moderates and less Ideologs in Congress.

Tbh, I was looking for storm coverage. I don't remember if I actually called it fake news or not but they certainly do suffer from Trump Phobia as indicated by the Harvard Survey.

Yes, but it is as far as I know the first time that a president of the USA claims that also on their side there are 'some very fine people'.:mad:

It's nothing new, don't be shocked. We all know Trump says stupid shyt. We had 18 months of it during the primary but even before that he was spouting off about Obama's birth certificate. He'll mostly like continue to do it.

However, there are things he says and does that I like and things he says and does that I don't. I like the fact that he's trying to help the Vets and that he donates his $400K salary to various causes. I don't like the twittering, the ego and the lack of humility to name a few. Not my style.

Nice of him the $400K donation, perhaps he should also consider paying the hundreds of businesses, including factories and contractors, and employees he duped over the years. He refused to pay (or not pay in full) so many people, causing financial distress and bankruptcies among his creditors. His excuse (one of many): "I love to hold back and negotiate when people don't do good work", right:rolleyes: He's nothing more than a conman.

With 'hundreds of businesses' over the years I'm amazed his business rep did not precede him. I would think word spreads fast in that industry among contractors/sub-contractors that you're going to get stiffed out of your money if you do work for Trump yet for the life of me I can't fathom how he won the government bid for old post office site then built that hotel a mile from the White House.

I would think businesses and contractors would run for the hills, especially after all the media coverage during the primary and election that brought these stories to the forefront.

Yeah, but what I mean to say is I'm not at all impressed with a mere $400K donation (pocket money to him) and it surprises me too that he became even president with that track record --- well, money talks, that's all.

He certainly does not need it. That is all the US president gets for a salary. Hardly worth it considering all the grief the job comes with. Ever seen how rapidly US presidents age. I don't think he really wanted the job in the first place, just the PR. He's stuck with it now (lol).

Total and Campaign Spending:
Mrs. Clinton's total expenses were $565 million, compared with $775 million for President Obama; Mr. Trump spent $322 million, while Mitt Romney, the Republican nominee that year, spent $460 million. Mrs. Clinton closed with under $1 million in the bank, much less than the $7 million remaining for the Trump campaign.Dec 9, 2016 (from NY Times)

Research shows us that approximately, only 30 percent of all family-owned businesses survive into the second generation and only 12 percent will be survive into the third generation. Surprisingly, only 3 percent of all family businesses operate at the fourth generation and beyond.

It sure is interesting how every day for months CNN and the rest of the liberal media put James Comey on a pedestal, believed and hung off every word he said especially in regards to Russia. And now it looks like Comey himself may be facing charges of obstruction of justice, perjury, hatch act violations and collusion.

And not a single article can be found on CNN. My oh my can cnn show any more blatant bias? I thought they were supposed to be a news agency and report on everything? Not hide news that goes against their agenda. No wonder we have so many swayed people in the world when they only get one side of the news and not the other.
SAD! :o

Well no doubt after his wonderful speech today people will still think he is right and everything negative is all lies.

Seriously it looks like he is just trying to upset as many people as he possibly can.

No wonder he needs to get a larger defence budget as way he is going he will have troops in most countries in the world.

Are we seeing the rise of the Fourth Reich?

That's a bit much.
Maybe he just doesn't know how to be or has no clue what it means to be president.

Him plugging his properties across the street from the UN and every time he gives a speech is not very presidential

Retweeting Clinton being hit by a golf also also not very presidential And not very nice or funny...

The list goes on....but we liberals are being fed lies from the fake news apparently. So all these things might not be true!

This was not a president talking! Rather a cheap preacher who tries to stamp his "mantra" on what he thinks are his followers.

Threatening sovereign nations to destroy them, calling anything Obama made: "the worst..." etc.etc. ... can't be bothered writing more, he is not worth talking about.

No political leader in this world will take Trump serious. They will just say: " Oh let the "rump" do his rumblings, we'll carry on without him"

Getting desperate trying to defend Trump, eh?

Oh some more misleading stuff by Harry. Id love to say im shocked but im not

They had something buried on the politics section

Surely something so serious would get headlined on the front page. Since you know, what kind of shoes Melania wears to walk through hurricane affected areas made it to their front page.

First you post an outright lie, I quote you: "And not a single article can be found on CNN." I then show you that it was reported, you call it "misleading stuff" and "They had something buried on the politics section".

For somebody who thinks CNN is fake news you seem to be reading it all the time since you knew exactly where it was. Although that is wrong too, if you care to use "wayback" it was on the front page!

My 8-year old would say: "liar, liar, pants on fire". I am saying: 4 Pinocchios for "lockinlove" for this post.

Harry with more assumptions! Again, I would love to be shocked but I am not because it seems when it comes to politics, thats all it is with you. I think the worst part is when you are shown wrong time after time after time, you always come out swinging with the insults. But I do have to give you credit, you have toned it down with the dramatic eyeroll emotes!

But just to clear it up, I only knew it was only in the politics page because I just searched it after you said there was an article so your entire post is once again moot. But thanks for calling me a liar and for that even more dramatic comment about what your 8 year old would say.

Yes unlike that bastion of truth Fox News....

Right vs left.

I think news should just be reported. Maybe fox news buries important stuff too, I dont really know I dont visit the site too often.

But I do feel that every news site reported the James Comey stuff even yahoo did. Yet it seems, and I may be wrong but from what I saw CNN is the only only that buried it. And all that does it hurt their legitimacy that their entire website is degrading Trump on the front page but when something controversial pops up that favors Trump, its suddenly nowhere to be found without some digging around.

But the whole point is people hanging off of CNN like they are unbiased news. Most arguments in here is what they see on CNN. The most bias news network around.

More misleading opinion and zero facts.

I recall Trump getting numerous rounds of applause.

No political leader?

Even Mitt Romney, one of Trumps biggest haters supported and praised Trumps speech.

The Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu

In over 30 years in my experience with the UN, I never heard a bolder or more courageous speech.

South Korean president Moon Jae-in

We view the speech as portraying a firm and specific stance on the key issues regarding keeping peace and safety that the international community and the United Nations are faced with.

Yes owners can spin the news any way they want I agree with you, as for CNN they can take the blame for trump....all they did was report on his every move cuz of ratings now they're gonna tear him down cuz it brings in ratings once again..,
...but lockinlove you have to admit that president trumps tweets are not fake news nor are his speeches. We can see what he says and what he tweets, it's there in black and white and he seems to not be well prepared nor knowledgeable in most things he has taken on....sorry. I don't care about his policies except when he starts to threaten crazy dictators of course....

He is inappropriate, brash, petty,a bully, self serving and a liar about the stupidest things cuz it makes him look bad....I just don't get how you can still be defending him.

I dont defend everything he does. As with every single president in history, they have said and done things when they shouldnt have. I have said before maybe its best he doesnt tweet stuff. But what it comes down to his policies I favor many of them.

Lets look at some dumb things Obama has said.

He made an off hand comment about special olympics on Jay Leno

When he was running for president, a female reporter asked him a very serious question and instead of responding to the person he decided to be a tad sexist and call her sweetie and ignore her

Obama exaggerating the size of things to. At one of his rallies he said the tornado in Kansas killed 10,000 people. "In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas.

It killed Ten thousand people an entire town destroyed." It actually killed 12 people.

When paying tribute to Aretha Franklin he mispelled R-E-S-P-E-C-T and spelled it as rspect

He referred to Hawaii as Asia

He didnt know how many states were in America

If you want to talk about bully, lets talk about the liberal media. They shame what his wife wears, they took midspeak clips and made an article "the many faces of Donald Trump" which made fun of and shamed him on his general appearance. They want to call out the guys policies or whatever, thats fine but there is no need to take personal digs about him and his family.

You know what the difference is? Liberal media is the popular and common news source. So when Trump does something dumb its shoved down our throats. When Obama did, you didnt find anything about it unless you had to dig hard for it. But I can assure you if the media was run by the conservaties, Obama would be made to look like the biggest idiot around

Seriously...you are actually doing a comparison ..all this shows is that like everyone else obama was human and not superhuman like everyone seems to believe....but in the 8 years obama was in office how many tweets were self serving and inappropriate? Or petty...or filled with meaningless lies...or bullying statements.....honestly stop making this behaviour normal.

The liberal media is not tweeting for trump nor are they writing his speeches....and if you can't find anything on obama it's because he was appropriate 90 percent of the time....not because the liberal media didn't shove it down our throats.

And you wanna talk about the media and picking on ppl.....good god...have you been on trumps twitter pre running for office...and even when he was a candidate...calling all other candidates names...just all around being a bully...

...and you are gonna compare what obama went through with the conservative media and his colleagues and what trump is going through....lest not forget that entire birther movemement......

look I hate the media...I really do....they make things worse ...they spin it any which way they want to suit the agenda....but I'm gonna say this again...trumps twitter is not run by the media and nor are his speeches...he sounds downright adolscent.

Trump brings in the ratings....cuz he is so bombastic and unpredictable and borders on the ridiculous...sorry he is not very presidential....and those stupid lies to make himself look better and to make himself feel more powerful....he's the president of the freaking USA and he still doesn't feel powerful enough....there is something wrong with that.

But the same things the liberal media shames Trump for is also human mistake. Not all but some. Putting it on their front page and having an entire article because he mispelled a word is shaming and bullying.

The reason we didnt hear about Obama is because its liberal media. All the stupid things he did, we didnt hear about it because they didnt put it on their front page like they do to trump.

CNN plastered crowd size, hand size, tweets being mispelled all over their site. But when Obama mispelled something important or did something dumb, it wasnt really ever put on CNN. Maybe the odd time but it was always as light hearted humor.

I think the comparison is somewhat fair. Both are different people and take different approaches. Trump is obviously not as presidential, that is why he got elected.

I have a few issues with how Trump acts sometimes but I support many of his policies.
