I found this nice screenshot in a "forum" named Outdated URL (Invalid) . the CM member Polli123 pretends to be webmaster for this site.

His comment to this and other shots, published there:
(in german): some screenshots from our winners.
Too nice. My first problem. This shot was published by me and here.
(6733 in the winners screenshots). How come that this is published without giving the origin, without asking CM?

Now i got a bit curious and do a reaearch, if the "polli82", who found the brillant name "casinomeister" (sic!) for himself in a "forum" named "Klamm-forum" has even more in common with this polli than few letters.

There are some more screenshots in the forum - i havent checked, who own s them originally.
sad story.

Playing Devils Advocate, and while arguably slightly ambiguous, Polli's first post in the WS screenshot is, to be fair:

Hi there,
well, i search for screenshots again. Especially for the big ones from Microgaming casinos. I want to present them. Anyone here who can show me some scrrens?

bye,
Polli

Playing Devils Advocate, and while arguably slightly ambiguous, Polli's first post in the WS screenshot is, to be fair:

As you know, my English is far from being perfect.
But: To present them is a totally different thing then publishing them in a forum... And even if present can include publishing- why not give the origin?

And the second part of the story? Who is the worlds second casinomeister?

A german student from hagen.
Maybe he reads this forum and tells his version of the story :D :D :D

Playing Devils Advocate, and while arguably slightly ambiguous, Polli's first post in the WS screenshot is, to be fair:

True, but that doesn't make it right to take the shots and present them on another site without permission or giving credit to where credit is due (backlink, etc)...:p

and then there were three: (this is not the other forum, i mentioned before, but a third one now)

GOOGLE:

25340.rapidforum.CRAPcom/ - 37k - Im Cache - hnliche Seiten

what a load of crap.
the intenet is crowded with blindstes, who want to sail under Bryans flag.
and some "juniors" and "webmasters" in their wake.

Also playing Devils Advocate here, 'casinomeister' is casino master/champion in German. 'Weltmeister' means World Champion.

So it is an existing German word =)

Edit: Nevermind, you are German, you know better than me if it's copy cat or not :)

Its up to the owner of this forum, how he wants to handle that.
I have finished my research, and i know the identity of the person behind "casinomeister", polli, polli82, polli-junior, polli123.

my 2 cents: Its poor style, to take Bryans name and try to make profit out of his reputation - anyone can check the details- just use google...

An existing word that is a registered trademark in the 25 EU countries, the Russian Federation and in North America. And I own that trademark :D

Thats what i thought. And i guess, after CM has done his research, we might hear something about this.
any more advocats of the devil???????

Not wishing to be devil's apricot, but I really don't mind. I mean, they're Microgaming's shots really at the end of the day... In fact, I'm actually glad I've been fortunate enough to give him some material, here's hoping I can give him loads more :D

But, yeah - the "Casinomeister" thing is a bit cheesy.

1. reduce it to one point: he has to say, where he has taken them.

2. Might bring some troubles, if he violated Bryans trademark.

only a short update: Mr Polli xxl (aka casinomeister and so on) was at least twice online, after the thread was published.
I cant find a response.

"Russian Federation" is still such a tough-sounding name. i love rooskies! classic post cm! "a word that is trademarked..." too much! if polli's forum is hosted in asia, south america, or africa, then he can call himself that? nail him anyways :p cool thread mp

Hi,

well, i use another name instead of CM today. But as one of my lawyers old you before: its still a usual name in germany and i gave it to me a long time before i ever heard of casinomeister.com. Whatever, now i have another one.

---
Jea i use the different screenshots and i marked it in my first post. I hope its still ok, especially because i only use the bigger ones - nice to show them and rare to get: there ar not so many gamblers in my homecountry.

Prost,
Polli

It would be best to give the Casinomeister forum the credit for any screenshots that are copied over. It might also be an idea to link back to the original thread so viewers can see the full context of the discussion.

It is possible to make a trademark of an existing word. The trademark is usually related to context. There are many good players who can call themselves "A" Casinomeister, but there is one one who can say they are "The" Casinomeister by trademark. When the word "casinomeister" is mentioned outside of Germany, I bet most people think this refers to Bryan.
