"Armenian authorities announced on Friday morning that police had shut down an “Asian criminal syndicate" engaged in gambling scams.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs released a video showing armed special operatives raiding what appears to be a compound used by the syndicate as an office and detaining multiple suspects."



In a statement, the ministry said officers had “shut down the activities of an Asian criminal syndicate specialized in online fake casinos.”

This is satisfying news, a drop in the bucket, of course, but it's nice. Perhaps one of those bastards stole your money, my money."

By the way, it's interesting (even strange) that an Asian syndicate is suddenly in Armenia. Asia is half the world—isn't there enough space there?) But perhaps the reason is that Armenia has a fairly developed gambling software development industry, and many products are also exported to the global market. This is just one theory. But I'm curious why the Asian group chose Armenia as its base.

I think it might be wider than just gambling - a few big data centred have been hit over the last 48 hours as a few big dodgy firestick providers have also gone down, one of which had 60000 users in the UK alone
