Thanks so much Bryan for letting me post about a couple of poker forums I am a member of.

www.thedonkeyfarm.com/forums

www.neverbeg.com

These are forums for poker players to stake each other and be staked on pokerstars and bugsys club. The donkeyfarm is a great group who rally around a member who has made a final table and posted it. The same with neverbeg. They have rules to adhere to so read them if you join, but it is easy to follow.

I would like to offer an invitation to check out these forums if you play poker and I am posting a link back to casinomeister for these poker players to share in this very fantastic site of which I am proud to be a member.

I am catrinam on all 3 forums.

thanks catrina:

I think it will be a refreshing change to stake some of these players and let them deal with the stress while I watch while sipping a cold one.

have you ever staked anyone at these sites?

I am new at donkeyfarm but they are great players. I'm watching a final table now with 6 left and 2 are donkeyfarm members. $33 buy in with $1000 guaranteed. I plan to stake donkeys soon.

I have staked neverbeg players for around $100. Staked 1 player for $6 and he won $140. No stress for me, lol.

I do love to play, but getting in the money in tourneys can wear you down after 2 or 3 hours.

i am a bit curious about the tax repercussions for such staking. one of those sites has a guy playing a $5,000 buy in. suppose he wins that sucker with 100 backers. (he's selling stakes in $50 increments)

I guess you read a BAP

Its a big ugly monkey the govt. wants to tame.

In boston they threw the tea in the harbor and were patriots and hero's.

Times have certainly changed.

I wonder if any of our founding fathers did a little gambling?

Would certainly be an interesting thread to see the vice's of someone beside's Thomas Jefferson.

Since we are posting our favorite forum(s) I would like to throw in that Twoplustwo.com is almost certainly the biggest and most detailed poker forum on the net. As for staking I've never really looked into it. I've always been reluctant to stake anyone because it's too easy for them to lose it, steal it or dump it and never pay you. I know though that many people have successfully staked or been staked, it just never seemed like something I wanted to get into.

If you do not follow the rules, you stay a member. break the rules and be banned.

The players start low and earn trust.

If you are good you get staked bigger and better, bad and you fade away.

In other words if you take a few dollars and everyone profits, everyone wins.

steal it or don't try, you lose more than the few bucks it took to test you.

I have been on neverbeg for a few months and have only been staked twice.

I made the stake back and a profit on one(thanks shazroze) and got 4th in a 10 seat SNG the other stake.

I'm just starting, WSOP here I come

Whew! So you guys were talking about 'staking'. I started rubbing my eyes when I thought it was 'stalking'.

I've certainly been "stalked" before both at the table and in real life. I've also stalked a few fishies at the tables before. They usually don't even notice when you follow them from table to table.

I must say I've had a good experience so far with the "Buy-A-Piece" staking on the NB site. I think it has actually helped improve my game too. I wouldn't normally watch online poker. But now when I have a little cash on the line, I search for some of the players I have small stakes on and watch them play. I've even IM'd some of them to ask them about strategy. (i don't know how the heck some of these guys can IM we while they're multi-tabling, but they do and they don't seem stressed by it).

there is always the risk that some dude could just flip out and not return your stake and or winnings, but I think that risk is reduced with the Buy-A-Piece system.

HaHa My friends sometimes come around and try to stake me, while sitting drinking all my beer. It's like being a footy goalkeeper. It's no fun

I'm still having a great time with these Outdated URL (Invalid). I'm not keeping close track as I'm currently invested in 18 different BAPs, but I know overall I show a profit.

You do have to be quite careful in picking your players though. I had one guy who went on tilt and had a mental melt-down in the forum. He threatened to "roll" (leave with investors funds) but then he woke up on the right side of the bed the next day and paid us back plus a small profit. Another dude I invested in is clearly underwater financially so I may never see that $20. (It should be interesting to see how this turns out as the guy is very well regarded on the site.)

I've had a couple BAPs end with 50% profit, but no big scores thus far.
