PLAYNGO Strange behaviour?

Hi all,
Deposited £100 with a UKGC site that mainly has PLAYNGO slots which are my favourite at the moment, especially Golden Ticket. Anyway, cut a lot story short, very quickly got the balance up to just over 1k, made a withdrawal of £800 kept the rest. Lost the remaining and stupidly reversed the withdrawal (Yes I know bad move!) but the balance went from £800 to £0 in the space of an hour so pretty much downhill all the way. What caught my attention though was the version of the game (Golden Ticket) that I was playing. As you know playngo have updated most of their games to a new super fast super drain your money version with quick spins, but I was pleasantly surprised to see golden ticket was still the older version which is slower, pays bonuses frequently and seems much more generous. However, as soon as I reversed my withdrawal, the version of the game instantly changed to the new version and took me for every £ I had in the balance, along with another couple of deposits. Maybe a strange coincidence that the game updated whilst I was using it, but the same thing happened at another site with golden ticket (completely separate site to this one). Now I know slots go hot and cold and you can tell when you're on the downward spiral, but I've never seen such a marked changed in behaviour, coupled with a change of version in game, during one session in 10 years of slot playing! The other PLAYNGO games don't seem to do this though I only played this and book of dead. Any thoughts from anyone?

new versions of playngo for have been dire ,i like playngo games & do play them fairly often , it just seems like a new breed of games seem to show superfast bust outs , maybe because it plays that much faster , im unsure but you did break the golden rule by reversing your already won amount , maybe this is where your problem lies , had you not done that you maybe of never looked at like this, maybe a lesson learned )

I know the golden rule and I broke it, but not here to discuss that Accepted my loss and moved on, the change in game is what got me thinking. It was definitely a different version, the older version bumbles along like a lot of the old playngo games, as soon as I reversed, logged into the game, the new version magically appeared. It's faster, different background colour, gives you stupid notifications of 'nice' and 'great win' etc which the old didn't and the bonus is different.

I used to complain about the old Book of Dead because of the slowness of it all.

Now i wish I hadn't

Last few sessions have battered me - least in the old version i'd have got bored with it and walked away

I get that, but I am telling you 100% it was the different version when I went back in. I even showed a colleague when I first logged in and said wow look it's the older version, then bang 1k, then magically go back and it's the new one. This is nothing to do with hot and cold or perception, the game is totally different and having played it for thousands of spins I knew the difference.

well i cannot help you , clearly lots of new games are being upgraded maybe your right i dont play that game often but do play the other one fairly often energoonz but have seen any change on that , i shall take your word for it , does seem a little odd in regards to new game being upgraded on site within a few minutes of playing it though.

I'd say it was a couple of hours but yes very strange hence starting this thread. Perhaps I should send an email to the operator.

Not sure to be honest . if your balance just depleted superfast without any wins , then yes i would be contacting them , but if you're stating you didn't get any features & things in that 800 quid then i would i think something funny was up. i know they can be fickle games though like any other provider.

There were a few wins, but the balance did not increase at any point. A couple of features, but compared to the earlier session where I must have had 6-8 bonuses, regular hits of £100-£200, to then have maybe 2 features paying £10, either shows some dodgy RTP between versions or the confirmation that these sites are not random. How can you go from £100 to £1024 in 2 hours, then randomly drop to 0, all at the same stake too. I've had bad runs on other providers, and I know they pay when they want to pay, it's just the game version that's bugging me more so than the loss.

Old versions = flash player, new versions = HTML5 (as flash will be totally phased out in the not too distant future)

Only change is the source code etc, RTP. maths model all remain the same.........or so they tell us

I don't like to argue, but come on AceKing.

I can't remember a single time where I have had a winning session on a game, went back to play it again and had another winning session. It doesn't matter what provider or what game...the result is the same after a winning session.

It reinforces everybodies suspicion that Slots indeed have a memory and behave accordingly to keep you on track towards the stated RTP. This is what the OP is seeing imo.

Also if games don't have memory...then how are MicroGaming able to keep track of your biggest wins along with timestamps. That in itself and the whole essence of having a memory is displayed there right in front of you.

I can also state that after a bad session and having the feeling that "this game owes" me also works. You will find yourself opening a game that hammered you, and being paid back at least some of your losses.

So, I don't beleive in and never have in this "randomness".

Now before I get hounded and get asked the inevitable "Why do you play then?".

I have several replies to this.

One is that if they are not random, and like I said I have a bad session....I at least have the belief that I will get paid some back in the next one.

Another is that I have a belief that no single spin is random at all. I believe this: You open a game and your whole session is already determined (mapped) there onwards. This is the "Random" part. If you are the lucky one you will have a good session from being the person who opened it at the right place and time, if not you've been the unlucky one who opened the game at the wrong place and wrong time....This part is random. From this point onwards though your next sessions will be determined based on previous one.

Like I said...not to argue. Just some of my own beliefs and observations

EDIT: Just to add one more thing. Everything I have written applies only to single casino's. If you play and have a great session at a casino...then everything I have written will apply if you play only at that casino.

However. If you open (for example) Playboy for the first time on Casino A (and your beggining session is mapped from that point) and then go to casino B and open playboy for the 1st time. You may find it IS possible to have two good sessions on the same game...but that's the only way.

You get to know a game if you play it a lot and my experience with Golden Ticket perfectly matches yours.
The new HTML5 version is terrible, it is a completely different game.
Same goes for Gemix, which now can really eat your balance whereas before it would hold your balance for quite a while.
The RTP% can stay the same but the payouts can be less, just get a lot more 2X - 10X wins but you never get ahead enough for a cashout.

Well I emailed the operator to explain what happened and they weren't interested and said my withdrawal has nothing to do with the game version. I guess just a very odd coincidence and a shame as I really liked the old golden ticket, very underrated slot!

if only had been my witness last night at a certain casino & we are talking nearly 6 hours hours of play , with stakes of £4 onwards not once did i trigger a feature at higher stakes the only thing which kept my alive was live roulette , ive seen some sessions over the years but never to spending a couple of hundred on each machine without hitting a feature, this happened that many times i lost count. so maybe your correct i have already got a gold foil hat

The first thing that came to mind was that this could have been a browser cache issue. The site didnt force the cache check and update it when you first launched the old version of the slot. And once you then closed it, reversed withdraw and maybe even closed browser or closed casino and reopened it. It then did those checks and updated the cache for that slot in your browser cache.

That is my guess anyway.

All the other discussion is irrelevant in my opinion. Apart from the fact that yes when you open and close slots after winning or losing session it starts a new session on that slot. You get a new unique ID each time. Trancemonkey has touched on this in that thread too.

I would go to the help file of the game and check the RTP figure.

PlaynGo games have 3 RTP settings. 96.x% 94.x% and 92.x% IIRC

Most casinos use the higher setting. but there are casinos (even accredited ones) who use lower settings

The casino may not have just updated the version from flash to HTML5. But also downgraded the RTP to a lower setting.

Could also have been a coincidence. You logged in at the time when they replaced the slower version with the faster one.
