How does everyone feel about how they play online rather than at the table?

I think I do better online because I'm tended to play my cards more rather than who ever is left in the hand. I tend to usually keep my money longer, and play a lot smarter.:what::eat:

I think everyone is doing better online that offline.I personally love online poker.

The benefits?
You can multi-tabling up to 20 tables at once
You can play 24/7
You can play from the comfort of your own home
No travel or hotels
Micro limit and hu for low-stake players
Loyalty points

Just noticed the link CasinoMac's signature:-
Do you play Online Poker? - Become a pro by using an automated Poker Bot Software
Are players allowed to use poker bots at ANY online poker rooms?
Only I thought it was against the rules.

It is...

And why have a *#&$@ bot play for you....unless you just want to get banned from the poker site and have any winnings confiscated...

and it's an oxymoron to even ask in that sentence if you play online poker, because using a bot isn't playing, it's just sitting there watching the bot play, right?

And you're hardly going to become a pro by using a bot....

Best thing about playing land based poker in a good casino... you color up and walk away with your money. Online... it's left in some bank (heaven knows where) for the likes of the NY AG to confiscate and stuff the state coffers (and probably a few pockets).

poker on line is more of a crap shoot by far for me. Perhaps I am playing tables with too low of a limit? Guys call with any two nearly every hand. Ifb you had a 9 seat game and I gave you pocket aces preflop and the rest of the table any two cards and everyone went all in preflop every hand than how many times would you actually win? It becomes a game of luck at that point and skill is out the window. Live people are face to face and MOST people will not play any two because it is more real to them and because they just might get a beat down for playing that way.

Internet Poker Site Greed

Ive been on PokerStars, Full Tilt And Ultimate Bet for about 2 years ive had more dwns thn ups i tell ya, but hey thts poker or do they say. i recently started looking up tourney winners on player search fr about 2 months daily I found something odd, 3 outta 20 never show up again anywhere i usually pik the players tht make the top 20. I hv found other players on tables and other tourneys chatted wth some to congrad them and so. its been a long process but somethng came to mind whn a player on a table informed me by jst chat tht he was doing the same thng it so seems tht i thnk mayb just mayb with all these bot programs what would stop a internet poker site from havn thier bots place in all tourneys in the top 20 tht wd return cash back to thier casino account somewhere?
Now can someone really picture the cash intake from 1 ot 2 bots daily per every tourney from regular multi table and sit n go. damn thts alot of cash DAILY. I understand theres more to software and all this BS aboutt the RNG conspiracy theory but sometimes I wonder how far Internet Poker Sites will go or Have is the question:confused: well just a thought as they say Its not what You May know its what u can prove Right?

i have had a go at both online and offline for the past 10 years.. most offline tho lol.. ive had good times at both as much for entertainment as ending up by the end of th night.. generally offline obviously u can def get more advantage by reading players in real life.. but i find online that the avg player on lower limits is more careless cuz the money is just a number on the screen instead of being real chips sitting in front of them at the table..the bots must be crappy..anyways my preference defintely wuld be online for playin on my own and going down to the casino if with friends for pure entertainment.. my 2 and 1/2 cents

I prefer playing live and competing against opponents only able to play against me with whats between their ears.

Online players have all sorts of programs keeping score on my past play, (pokertracker, etc.) computer poker mathematical programs giving instantaneous odds, fighting collusion teams, bots, other then the obvious loose or tight tells all other more critical tells missing. (just to name a few negatives found online)

I know many players can multi-table 20 games and much more, (I'm screwed after just two tables at once) but here your just playing cards most of the time removing the rhythm of any one game. I also know some people do okay with this strategy, but usually the work involved for most isn't worth the reward after long term results show their face.

At least in my view at one time the fish were a welcomed opponent. But now with millions of players the fish pool is so overwhelming the long term positive results usually generated from the solid and good players is making the long term much longer. The amount of hours needed to show any substantial positive results playing online poker has grown much more then in the past. Many players could of earned more working for someone and getting paid by the hour with the amount of time their putting into online poker.

Of course high stakes ring games, or winning a big purse tournament changes things rather quickly.

I still play a lot of online poker, but usually I'm chasing big purse tournaments trying to hit the lottery again.

Live play, hands down for me, is by far where I find the true poker game to be found. I prefer playing against a player that all he could bring to the table is what's in his head. Not all this software support he uses online.

I'd love to see what would happen if a player broke out a laptop and flopped it on the table with poker programs at a live game. He'd be rushed to the hospital with computer hardware stuck in his ass.

Well obviously, it feels different when you play online and when you play at the tables. Some people love playing at the tables because of the experience it gives them. Some are good with playing online at home. They don't want the commute or extra other stuffs you do at a land based casino. And when playing online, you have more time and you get to save yourself more money if you quit. I just find it so hard to quit when I play in the casino because it gives me the urge to play more and get even. haha

Personally, I prefer playing online. I feel much more confident and comfortable playing at home. I also win more money online than at the tables.

There are benefits to both and there was a time I would have said online... but to be honest online just seems to be lacking something. I like sitting at a table with a beer playing some cards - it just feels more social. I actually first started playing poker in live games, so that probably influences me...

Plus I find it harder to stay focussed online...
