Now what are we going to do?

That movie was a hoot. I'll have to keep an eye out for it on AMC or TCM. Haven't seen it in ages.

It is one of my all time faves. Just classic. Lucille Ball did a dreadfull remake of it which still makes me cringe when I come across it. The biggest blunder of her career I think.

I hope you enjoy the film. :)

Now back to regular progamming.

What is a typical guy? Could not find in Wiki...............Gotta get the hell out of here. SHALOM

The intent is not to cause a panic, sound an alarm, or spread (my) paranoia. But sometimes I have to remind myself that the DoJ is serious about putting a stop to US citizens gambling online.

From Bryan's sticky thread when he opened this section for us:

America the Beautiful - MUST READ

i've started this forum at the request of a number of posters and operators, and I have made this accessible to senior members and above (150 rep points or more). If there is a member you wish to give access to, please let me know and I'll consider them for admission.

The reason for limited access is that there has been a bit of sensitive information discussed throughout the board about payment processing that has alarmed a number of people. Instead of removing threads or censoring these things, I felt it would be better to make this more or less a private conversation. This forum is not privy to the general public or search bots.

So... we're all cool. No one's going to be hanged. Just everyone keep a head's up, and stay sharp -- all us US folks are in the same boat.

Hi All,

My personal thought relative to posting deposit methods is that it is probably a good idea not to do so here or in any other public forum, but....

I have a very hard time believing that it matters in the scheme of things. I do not believe that these methods can be masked for very long if the other side is really intent on shutting them down.

I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but if were I law enforcement and it was my job to "crack the code", I would think that it wouldn't be too difficult. There are quite a few ways that come immediately to mind without really trying to give it much thought...Paying a "reward" to one of us for information, asking the casino directly, etc...

Anyway, I absolutely believe that we should do exactly as many of you have and shut down public postings, but at the end of the day I wonder if it really matters.

It is "Look the animal in the eye with a masterful gaze". :p

As soon as I find a guy man enough to be my master, I'll let ya know. Few and far between. Sorry Nash, not directed at you, lol.

I agree Kevin, my only point was why make it easy for them? Stupid analogy time, just cause I love thinking up the stupidest things I can.

You run into a tribe of cannibals who want to eat you. Do you:

(A) Run around a bit and make them catch you, and then kick and scream and fight for your life when caught?

or

(B) Gladly hop into the pot of boiling water, peel the potatoes and veggies for the broth yourself...and ask them if there's anything else you can do to speed up the process?

I think that I would put up at least a modicum of resistance.

Goddamn stinking no-good government agencies..fuck em I say. Let them do some work for their results (for a change).

I'm in Canada, but if they'd care to report me to the Canada Revenue Agency, or turn me in to Dudley Doright and his band of Mounties, I'd be more than willing to supply any pertinent personal info that may be required. Matter of fact, I triple dog dare em.

In the long run, nope... I figure the Feds will get what they want. But for those who still want to gamble online and don't mind jumping through a few hoops to do it... A little discretion may buy them a few weeks... or days...

:notworthyThanks Justplay... but let's admit it I was pretty.. um.. airheaded. :D
I know Pinbaby was not singling me out.. but I did have my head in the fog for a bit.. and really.. my appologies.. I have not been thinking clearly for a week now.. (long story.. typical guy skipped out left with kids, house and bills,,,, yada, yada...)..
I had tried to keep to myself .. and I am not very good at that.(obviously...)

SO I do extend MY appologies for MY stupidity in the matter!! If anything.. the least I can do is take my head out of that fog and push forward.. and step one is .. How stupid of me! It did not even dawn on me that I would post a method and "wham" 2 days later "declined!" then..next.. and "declined" <--ROTFLMAO... I did have my part in it.. and for that I am sorry!
Thanks Pin... for pulling my head out of my arsk ... guess I needed a good kick in it to open my eyes back up again!!

No, you're right, I wasn't singling you out at all. I was taking it upon myself (once again) to police the forum. It just seemed like all the info being posted was getting out of hand, and with the latest Eco development....I figured it would only get worse.

As to the first part of your post Mystic, if you want my advice leave the guy if he's that bad. And stop posting about it on a forum. Many of us here have gone through major health issues, relationship problems, problems with our kids, financial problems.....it's called life. We don't post about it publicly. We may talk about it with our friends (privately), but honestly you are coming across as looking for sympathy....which you shouldn't be doing publicly. Problems with your relationship, being broke, etc. should be reserved for PM's, emails and phone calls. I think you'll find that it actually turns people off to read that stuff repeatedly.

This is strictly a personal opinion, and can be taken with a grain of salt if you wish. Feel free to call me a bitch as well, I'm quite used to it I assure you, and no offence taken. Telling people your difficulties is not the way to make friends.....JMO.

I think what everybody is saying is valid, but realistically how easy would it have been for a DOJ or Fed to have signed up for the forum back in october when the UIGEA was passed, made enough posts by now to easliy qualify for the america beautiful thread.

Discretion should be high right now and payment processing should be done by pm only. JMO.

Lots of speculation...It would be nice to see what Bryan thinks. He probably has a better idea or can at least guess as to whether he thinks that this forum is accessed by the authorities much more accurately than any of us given his access to whatever data he has. (I don't know anything about webmasting, so I'm just guessing here!)

As I said, I really don't think that it matters. If the casinos want to make a deposit/withdrawal mechanism available to players, they've gotta tell them about it and that is really the Achilles heal.

Actually, I made that short sweet and did NOT bitch about it.. as I states
in my post
(long story.. typical guy skipped out left with kids, house and bills,,,, yada, yada...)..
I had tried to keep to myself .. and I am not very good at that.(obviously...)
.... so I avoided posting it... you combined my PM and managed to get that in... but like in my return PM.. POINT TAKEN.
to everyone... appologies.. I have never looked for sympathy or pity from anyone.. I just offered an explation for my being a bubblehead the past week.

FYI PINBABY ... thank you so much for adding salt to this wound... and posting it in public...
I DO THINK YOU GOT YOUR POINT ACROSS ...
YOU ALL TAKE CARE NOW...

I come(NPI) in peace!!!!;);)

And leave in pieces?

Mystic, I've said what I have to say to you via PM. It's your decision what you want to do. Leave it alone in public.

I was just wondering because some people can't use theirs. It's strange isn't it, could it be what part of United States we are in?

Maybe it depends too on which bank? And which card exactly? Or maybe whether or not it's a full moon? Seriously, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it at all. I think it's all a matter of how "creative" the processors can be when putting the charges through.

Vaycay Mom, your cards are working...how are you withdrawing? Or have you been that lucky?

Both of my VISA debit cards work with MG and RTG casinos with no problems. When my bank does reject a charge I just call and tell them it is me making those withdrawals. They immediately take off the block for me and I am in business again.

As posted within this thread it depends on how creative the casino is in putting through the charges. As we all know MGs are using 3rd party processors. As long as they are using an innocuous name the banks don't throw up a red flag.

As far as EcoCard is concerned I have until 24th, August, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. PST to win, win, win!

You can run but you can't hide. While I agree that keeping deposit methods secret is the right thing to do. We also must come to terms that the feds (All Seeing Eye) knows who is doing what. We might as well say the hell with it. Either we do or we don't. Me personally im standing up for my rights. Im not running. Believe me alot of these payment processors are nothing but fed joints anyways. These casinos are working hand and fist with our government. Our banks, our ISP providers, hell even some members here are feds. They already know which card works and which doesn't. They know they can't tackle all of us. But hope to scare most of us thru some of us. We have been robbed blindly by our own elected officials. Whether paying taxes that doesn't exist in the Constitution. Or by the state run lottery. Our government actually rips us off, By selling you a $1 or $20 lottery scratch off. And if you dont win that money is lost. Imagine buying 10 tickets at $200 and winning $80 back. Yep that's our government sticking it to us. Now some states here are adopting $1000 mandatory speeding tickets. And in Florida if you don't pay your parking tickets. The city can take your property and sell it to cover fees and fines. NO Where to fucking run and NO Where to fucking HIDE!!!

My netspend is 400768xxxxxxxxxx and it is still working and i am on the east coast....Now it is just trying to figure out how to withdraw...

Just when we think we have one thing set ...It gets taken away..

Which ones? And why would any casino lose revenue by cooperating when they don't have to? They have nothing to gain and much to lose.

But hope to scare most of us thru some of us.

Agreed.

Whether paying taxes that doesn't exist in the Constitution..

No idea what that means.

Totally agreed...The states run by their own set of rules which is often if not always way better than the odds that are made legal in the casinos by the same damn government. All depends on where the money goes. Of course, the payback on many landbased and occasional online slot machines approaches and sometimes exceedes your example.

IMHO if the casinos want our money they will have to come up with a reliable way for us to deposit/withdraw. They took a big hit with the UIGEA.

They still haven't felt the full impact of no US players at all! They best get cracking. If I can deposit but cannot withdraw...well that is a no brainer.

If you have not already done this, all US players should print a copy of their complete transaction history with Neteller as we may lose access to the data in the future. I understand that if you are ever audited you need to prove the losses to be able to offset the winnings. We should do this for all of the webwallets that no longer offer services to us. :)

Atlanta, any chance you are murder1 aka jtmoney aka lord_have_mercy aka itoldyouso starting out with a slightly different tac? He always degenerates into character so if it's you, you will be found out eventually. If not, no sweat huh:D
