Not one casino has offered me anything for my birthday last year got some free spins from Go Wild but this year not even a bonus offer the only companies who sent me anything were Wild Jack & Allslots which was just happy birthday I haven't even played there for four or five years.

The casinos companies are so stingy these days.

Happy Birthday:thumbsup:

With or without bonuses I hope you have had a great day anyway:D
...at least you are still young;)

.

Happy Birthday

I have personally never understood why so many players are expecting a birthday bonus from casinos. Players should not use their birthday to gamble anyway. I have for example never received a birthday gift from my insurance company or my local store. Why casinos?

Hope you enjoyed your day :D

So true. I remember the old days when they gave us plenty of birthday bonuses to show they cared about having us believe they cared.

Happy Birthday and maybe something will show up later or even tomorrow. Good luck.

I guess we expect them, because here, land-based ones send out birthday cards with redeemable money vouchers for birthdays and several online casinos DO send out freebs for birthdays.
As to why gamble on my birthday? Because I don't go out and party the whole 24 hours; just because I redeem the freebie, doesn't mean I have to play it right away

Another Casinomeister member just pointed out to me that he got nothing for his recent birthday from us.
Which led me to discover that our auto birthday bonus emails haven't been sent for the past couple of weeks... oops!

So if you, or anyone else with an active account at one of our brands had a birthday recently and didn't get anything please let me know.

Oh and I know your details so no blagging, and no signing up now and claiming a bonus for your birthday in February... :)

All the best, and belated Happy Birthday!

Andy

Gambling is supposed to be entertainment. Most bars will pour regulars a pint on the house, many restaurants offer a free dessert, sometimes even a free meal. The movie gift packs to stuff stockings always have an extra coupon for your birthday, etc.

To my mind, it makes more sense to comp players for their birthdays rather than for holidays that are shared with everyone, in terms of spreading the costs out over a period of time.

A max cashout and big WR should keep costs down, while making loyal players feel valued.

My birthday was in February HEHE  :p
And did not get anything. Not that I expect anything as only this year really started depositing. Cant rember or see if I ever deposited when I signed up years ago :D

Are you high? I'm going to pretend you are if you're not. :) My birthday is when I feel the luckiest!

PS... I LOVE birthday bonus'...they make you feel special and its always been part of the PERKS... so if you stop getting them ...you notice.
The Monte Carlo in Vegas would send us open plane tickets on mine AND my dh's birthday back when we frequented Vegas....why should online casinos be any different if you are pouring money into them? When you spend a lot...its personal. Schmoozing is the best marketing strategy....win/win
You should maybe watch a few episodes of Las Vegas ;)

I'd trade a birthday bonus for a balance higher than my deposit once in a while.

Hehe...yeah. That is what I do. I get high and then I go on Casinomeister and write crazy things

Remember that the RTP percentage in land based casinos is like 50% (ok...maybe a bit higher, but still :p) so of course they can afford to fly you around the world etc on your birthday :D

Your out of your league, kid. Wanda seems like a mature, sophisticated Vegas traveler and knows
a thing or two about a thing or two when it comes down to Vegas casino comps and how they operate. How many times
have you visited Vegas and dropped a couple grand into the high-roller rooms? ;)

As for the freebies on your birthday topic... A gambler's thought process usually goes a little something like this. "I've dropped
XXX dollars into this online casino over the past year and received NOTHING on my birthday? Well... I'm gonna get even and send
them an email asking them to close my account. This will not stand
". That could have been easily resolved by the online casino
by merely sending the depositing player a measly $25 ND bonus with a max cash out. Period.

We're planning a B&M casino trip for my B'day next month. I already have my usual offers ... free room for 3 nights, free food, freeplay $ .... And I'm pretty certain there will be a little extra B'day offer arrive in the mail next month before my B'day. For some silly reason they don't hold my little $1800+ jackpot against me -- couldn't be because they know if I keep coming back, they're very likely to get it all back +$ could it? LOL

Online casinos are totally out to lunch when it comes to player retention.

HA...that just made me giggle....at least you sound fun...maybe I got the wrong impression of you ;)

While I agree with you about the percentages, you actually proved my point. I dont expect the same treatment from online casinos as land based, but promos on a lesser scale should be expected...its all part of the game and enticing players to be loyal. Unfortunately the loyalty factor/focus is rare online and casinos seem to put more focus on enticing new players with big "new player" bonus'. With the play time diminishing more and more many of us tend to hop to casinos who do offer bonus' just to get that play time in and not feel so beat up. So why not offer those bonus' or incentives to players who will drop their money into your casino consistently?...we are going to play, we are going to make deposits so why not cater to that simple fact and make your casino the one we WANT to play in?

Back when times were good, Platinum Play used to send gifts, like a fancy box of silver dice...and a card that said they gave you a $100 chip. I played there more than any other casino b/c they made you feel like loyalty mattered. It was a win/win.

IMHO, the gigantic new player bonus' cause a lot of morons to want to try to cheat the system and they end up cheating themselves when they try to cash out. But I often wonder if some of the casinos do it on purpose knowing some people will forget where they have played, make a deposit or several deposits and once they try to withdraw they are called out as cheaters. With technology in constant progression you would think the casino would know right away if someone is trying to open another account.
We get emails all the time from places who should be well aware that we already have an account...straight from the casino, not an affiliate, so one has to wonder if some casinos just hope they are going to catch you not paying attention. Its gotten really shady so it would be nice to have one place where I know for sure they will take care of me like they do in Vegas...again on a smaller scale...so far that has not happened in years.

I believe in loyalty and personal attention, my business survives and thrives on it.

There is a flip side to this coin worth mentioning. I for one think birthday bonuses are a nice thing to have, and we have them at Butlers Bingo... but please dont underestimate the extent of abuse and fraud they attract.

Multipler accounters try to redeem dozens of birthday bonuses on the same day.... bonus hunters open accounts with fake birth dates (The amount of people who seem to open an account JUST before their birthday is rather unusual...).. frausdsters claim they didn't get the correct birthday bonus or that they were promised a bigger one.... you get the idea.

Bottom line it just became such a headache for some casinos that it was easier to scrap them all together. The same thing happened to a lot of 'refer-a-freind' offers, which were also rife with fraud.

Yes... some casinos are just stingy, but imo the main reason these offers are dwindling is the selfish players who abuse the offers and ruin it for everyone else.

All that said, I hope you had a Happy one... and make sure to have your account open with Butlers Bingo in plenty of time to get a bonus from us next year ;)

 Sounds like me!

I think rainmaker just meant that gambling is maybe not the coolest way to spent your birthday, and that is correct in some ways,
but a day is long, and most birthday bonuses i got weren't tied to that specific day: some i got a few days prior, and others were valid in the whole week, or even longer.
I like to play with b-day chips in the morning, with my coffee, and maybe hit big to set a good mood, if i lose, like this year, it's an extra incentive to make extra fun during the party:)
Sometimes i play b-day bonuses when i get back drunk, also quite fun..
I do remember what casinos sent me on my birthday, and i actually put a value on it.
The occassional "hurray! we offer you 10% up to 20" slips through, and will never get serious business from me:what:
I do feel appreciated when i get a small NDB, or a juicy match up, or both, from casinos i rarely play at.
I also expect my regular casinos, to throw in something significant.
This is an unwritten rule, in my book.

HA...that just made me giggle....at least you sound fun...maybe I got the wrong impression of you ;)

He is a very nice guy:)

There are two casinos i play at who do such things i these are 32Red and 3Dice

I believe in loyalty and personal attention, my business survives and thrives on it.

This is also exactly how i feel
I agree with almost everything you said there:)

* although i have never got anything "physical" from NordicBet and Redbet, i would also like to say that their special attention towards players, is up to par with 32Red and 3Dice, and i only recently signed up at both casinos, so that says something too:)

Ya know the funny thing is that we were never huge high rollers in Vegas ...I was just very lucky...My first trip ever, I won $2500 on a $5 slot ...first slot machine, first pull! I ended up winning over $6K that day...we only brought $1000 to play with for that trip....they only kept up with how much went into the slots so it looked like we were big spenders ....they comped us 3 more days and we lost all but about $1500 in the end but that started an amazing relationship...we went 4-6 times a year and they took very good care of us...suites, limos, airfare, never paid for food, a host who constantly catered to us, giant welcome baskets when we arrived....when I got the flu, they sent up a buffet of amazing food for about 5 people, along with a $100 gift card to Cache, a clothing boutique in their underground mall. We spent a LOT and lost a lot and won a lot over the years....but no matter what foofy hotel opened up we never strayed...why would we?

Oh I am so envious! Happy for you too! We have not been back to Vegas since my son was born 6 years ago. I dream of it all the time. Be sure to ask for everything!!! Its amazing what they want to give you but dont until you ask...you probably already know but dont be scared to ask for a limo to pick you up to & from the airport...I always loved that. We were always given free tickets to shows and I was like "you cant pull me away from the slots to go to a show!" lol

Wish you the best of luck and a very happy birthday!

Thank hon... but we'll be driving to Tunica. The MGM casinos send us invites for Biloxi - airfare included LOL... 6 hours away driving (like Tunica) but it would take almost as long if we let them fly us - we live 1.5 hr from any major airport. LOL I've never been to Vegas - they keep sending offers for there, too, but I don't like to be too far away from home. As has happened more than once - my Mom might get sick and we have to throw everything in the car and hightail it back home. Let's just hope everyone in my little inner circle stays healthy and I'll be gambling my brains out for a couple of days for my b'day! LOL

We haven't paid for food or a room in... well... forever.... since our very first ever B&M visit oh so many years ago. All we take with us (money-wise) is gas money and what we're willing to lose.

Oh! And for folks who aren't familiar with B&M casinos... you don't have to be a high roller to get decent comps.

Blimey, that's nice!
I dropped €1500 in a couple of hours last month at one of the casinos here and when one of my friends (who was playing poker, which means free drinks) asked if that entitled me to a free beer the casino host just shrugged and didn't get me one.
Tip if you ever play casino in malta, enter a poker tournament for 30 quid, then don't play - just pop back into the poker room whenever you need a drink.
I might print your post off and shove it in their faces next time I go :)
