A couple of people were interested in Non Us Neteller transaction problems.
I waited a few days but no poll was created so I did just for the heck of it.:)
Not sure what questions to ask so CM, feel free to adjust.

No problems so far... touch wood.
I've only made one withdrawal in 18-months - mid-Jan'07 - went though OK.
Made no deposits into Neteller since my one & only in 2002 (or 2003?)
Have made several casino transactions - all going in & out as normal!

Well, I ticked 'silly poll won't answer it' 'cause I want to see the results. LOL

Good idea for a poll FruFru!

My logic tells me Neteller would look after their non US customers rather well to ensure they stay in business. But then again who knows what will happen next?

Neteller in Hungary

For some mysterious reasons Hungarian residents were never allowed to open a Neteller account. Neteller never provided a clear answer why. Strange thing is, now I wouldn't open an account even if I could. Buddy denotes different persons from Hungary below.

Roberto: Welcome to our live chat service. How may we help you?
Buddy: Hello, my question is: I'd like to open a Neteller Account. Sometimes I live in Denmark, sometimes I stay in Hungary. I read in terms and conditions that you don't accept Hungary. Does it mean that if I opened an account in Denmark, I wouldn't use it in Hungary?
Roberto: That would be correct
Buddy: ?
Buddy: I don't understand you exactly.
Roberto: You would only be able to use it in Denmark
Buddy: And what would happen when I stay in Hungary and I tried to use, for example to pay on the Internet?
Roberto: If you were to try to access the account it would get closed and you would have to call in
Buddy: And after phoning would I be able to use it in Hungary?
Roberto: No.
Roberto: You would have to be in Denmark
Buddy: So, it is no way to use it from Hungary? Why is it so important that where am I at the moment when I use internet?
Buddy: I could do the same things in Denmark and in Hungary.
Roberto: It is for security reasons
Buddy: ? How do you mean it?
Roberto: At the current moment we don't offer our service there. So your account would be closed
Buddy: But I really don't understand the situation: I'm sitting in front of my computer in Denmark and I can pay by Neteller, one day later I' sitting in front ofmy computer again, want to pay again, THE SAME PERSON WITH THE SAME CARD,and you would close my account. Is it logical?
Roberto: If you wish you can email compliance@NETELLER.com and then will be able to answer your questions better
Buddy: okay, I will try to do that.
Roberto: Thanks you
Buddy: Do you have any information about when will Neteller accept Hungary?
Roberto: Again you could send a email to that same address and they will be able to answer that
Buddy: Okay, thank you for your helping.
Buddy: bye

John: Welcome to our live chat service. How may we help you?
Buddy: Hi! I'd like to open an account, but i cant find my country(Hungary) in the country list.
Buddy: Could you help me?
John: Unfortunately NETELLER does not offer service in your current residence.
Buddy: why not?
John: Due to lack of Internet security.
Buddy: And is it likely that Neteller will offer service here in the near future?
John: Unfortunately I do not have the answer to that question.

Well, that just defies logic! :p

Unless the UK banks are now cautious about Neteller, they should actual be extra special with the clientle they can help

I haven't contacted Neteller yet, but provided them with my banking details and am awaiting to verify my account with them. I am thinking it could possibly have something to do with the fact I updated my address. To take into account that I no longer live in Gibraltar.

I am not seeing any problem with the chats below.
They do not want Hungarian citizens. Period.
And they repeat it again and again.

Also, They do not want "Denmark" citizens signing in from Hungary. Too easy to guess why.

As long as they are located on the Isle of Man, they have the right to make their decision. However I don't see the rationale behind it, and therefore it is harder to accept the fact.

I am a UK citizen but have dropped Neteller. They suddenly started declining transfers from my credit card. When asking why, they said thaey want me to send a copy through the post as to ensure it is not a US credit card.

Hello?....they have done transactions on it before, they have a phone in fromt of them, they have a Bank to talk to...and anyone with some motivation can work out the origin of a card.

Closed my account as I cannot work with people who waste my time.

They still owe me several pounds that they said they would refund.

Now I can see why you're 'annoyed'! :D

That is a bit daft - losing a customer with nonsense like that.
Can't they tell from your address that you're not in the USA! :eek2:
I'm going to stick with Neteller for now though - just too bloody useful to drop! ;)

I voted have a transaction a week pending and now I finally got the first payment through today(UK). It was certainly a few days later than it would have been under normal circumstances, I'm just glad it's got here. Got one more to go then it's avoid neteller for a bit till all this is sorted methinks.
