Ok, I love a tourney just as anyone else does. I will even pay to play them if the pot is decent just to get a little competition in...(I have always loved a nice competition)

So, is it fair that right in the middle of a free spin it ends without finishing off the free spins? I mean, c'mon...the bonus rounds are hard to get in the first place but to end a tourny in the middle of free spins is out of whack IMO...

It is not a players fault that the reel slows to a crawl on the last reel whenever you hit 2 scatters during this free spin to waste the free spin time..is it?? Where is the STOP button I ask???

Geezes..I was having a great time playing these for the short while I have been playing but I guess..with such a low return on them and then getting the free spins unfinished...what's the point in playing any of these games at any of these casinos anymore..yes..I am pissed..it was only 5 bucks but damn...how in the world can you compete when the only thing you have to catch the leader gets stopped right in it's tracks??

So...is it fair or not...free spins unused when time runs out? Free spin stopped in the middle of a spin?

.

I agree totally...I've been burned more than once playing a tourney, finally hit the free spins and run out of time:mad: I think they should let the free spins finish:thumbsup:

Ok I understand how both of you feel however how would you like it if you were winning and tourny ended yes I won and then 5 min later you find out you didnt because someone else was able to finish there free spins. Sorry but I think the only way to keep it fair is times up game over. Just so you know I dont really play rtg tournys I would do mircros a alot -

I disagree. If you are in the MIDDLE of the spin, it should let you finish that one and credit you...I also believe you should be able to finish those free spins since it already sucked away all your time hesitating on many of them...everone knows the only way one has a chance of even getting close to winning is hitting a bonus round...and then those are taken away from you..??? I don't think so...

I guess I need to quit these too..what is the point when you know the odds are stacked against you once again??

.

I feel the same way ans cpdnd31 if I was one of the top scorers, and someone was out of time, but got to finish their freespins and beat me, I think I would be more upset. I think everyone should have whatever time is allowed, nothing more, nothing less.

Sorry, I have to agree with Cpdnd31 also, when the time is up, it should be game over. The sad, sucky fact is with RTG, I can't imagine a decent tourney with all the dead spins it habitually gives and wouldn't you know it, you'd get the free spins when time is running out. Not much different than having a good run until you are nearing the end of your wagering requirement. Kind of like reverse torture. :D

And that would really frost a player to hit a random on a tourney! Jackopt in the sink, oops, who pulled the plug???!!!!!

Too funny...I have never hit one in funplay either..go figure..

My husband and I actually were talking about that while I was playing the tourney...how, even in fun play, I can't catch one in all these years...

That is exactly what has happened to me almost every time..within the last minute I would catch the bonus...this is why I feel it is unfair...I see these scores in the tens of thousands where players get to play out their spins when they hit...why shouldn't those that hit late be allowed to play out theirs?? I mean the worst of it is IMO is that they actually cut off the spin in the spin mode and you don't even get credit for the one already spinning..

I mean, you hit the bonus round and get your free spins but I am not allowed to finish mine?? That is not even close to fair..because we all KNOW to even get close to winning a tourney you have to hit a bonus round to even get close to the top..

i have hit 2 rjs in the rtg tournies also, but they are never enough to place:D However i did win 2nd place in the 10000 freeroll, and won 1550.00:thumbsup: not to bad for a free tourney:p also the game was loose caboose and i hit free spins 8 times, with 2 of those being 4 cabooses:eek: and the 8th time came right at the end, so i didn't get credit for those, but hey i won any way woohooooo, thank goodness there wasn't any rebuys:D

If it were a buy-in tourney I believe it would be unfair if some were to lose their placings because there was extra time given for completion of features/free spins. However, with free tourneys, thought could be given for a time extension to accomodate the free spins/features although I am unsure how they are gonna work it out when 100 spins or a series of retriggers come out. This could delay the time a tourney ends by quite a number of minutes.

It's not like it really matters because it's the same for everyone. What I don't understand is why they need such a strict time limit to start with, there is already a set amount of coins to play. Most tournies I've seen run for several hours anyway, and of course the end time of the tourney should be the end no matter what, but why not give players a lot more time to use up their coins as long as the tourney hasn't ended?

So the majority believes it is ok to lose the bonus round and the free spin that is in action when the time runs out. Fair enough...I do not...

Hopefully others are not caught out in this scenerio...because paying to play, and not one bonus in sight till the very end, and then the slowness of the spins has a lot to be desired, and as you can see ...I still had a huge balance that I could not use because of the slow spins during the partial free spins..

I wish they would at least put the stop button back...this would help alleviate the loss of time....and allow you to use the credits given to play the tourney.

Slow spinning, do they have the Turbo option for the tourneys? Now this would make it interesting if the turbo is available as in regular play.

I played my first RTG tournament at Rushmore. (The free roll Loose Caboose. One hundred $100 dollar spins.) I thought I did pretty good with almost 15k. I had 16 free spins with a 3x multiplier. I've never seen more than 5 free spins in that game in my life.

2 hours into the tournament the leader has about 75k and I'm pretty much out of sight. That would be like playing dollar spins and winning $750 in ten minutes. Loose Caboose doesn't pay that well.

I get the feeling that these are pretty much the same as the MG tournaments. I played a couple of those and the top scores were so high they didn't even make sense to me.

After seeing this I don't think I'd pay to play one of these.

Open any program using Windows Media player and the spins will automatically speed up. Dont ask me why though. An alternative would be to upgrade to IE8.

This is an old trick that I have done many times but it will not work when you hit 2 cabooses and it slows for that third one..this is the area I get angry over...during free spins especially. What a time waster!
