NEW TOOL FOR ONLINE POKER FANS
Toolbar delivers continuously updated live daily tournament feed.
Pokerheads trying to keep track of the many online tournaments continuously in action on the top Internet poker sites have a new aid this week from poker information site PokerSites.co.uk.
Downloadable for free, the Poker Tournament Toolbar delivers a constantly updated live daily tournament schedule from all of the top poker rooms.
The toolbar collates and sorts poker tournaments from the top online poker rooms and serves them up via a toolbar ticker. Uniquely, the toolbar converts the start time for each tournament into the local timezone of each toolbar user and is compatible with both Internet Explorer & Firefox.
Top poker rooms currently supplying daily poker tournament data into the toolbar include PokerStars, Absolute Poker, Titan, Full Tilt, Expekt, Pacific Poker and Party Poker. Also present are Intertops, InterPoker, Everest Poker, Tony G, 24h Poker, Bet365, Pokerroom, Poker UK, PokerKings, Bodog Poker, Virgin Poker and Poker Heaven. More rooms are expected to join the feed in 2008.
The toolbar has a flexible configuration. Each player can select from a number of options to change the appearance and apply tournament filters for more specific information. The toolbar itself is in a dropdown menu ticker display format which loops through each scheduled poker tournament, displaying the title, start time and buy-in fee. Each tournament title can be clicked for more detailed information on each tournament.
Once the toolbar is installed, the player can select from a number of options to filter the tournament feed. There is a capability to choose which poker rooms are included in the schedule and to select only those tournaments that contain certain keywords.
There is also an optional "freeroll override" which ensures that all freeroll tournaments from all poker rooms are integrated into the loop. A buy-in fee range can also be applied to filter out low-stakes or high-stakes tournaments. The speed and pause time of the ticker itself can be adjusted along with colour settings to highlight tournaments of a specific nature.
