My guess is that Harvey's will have even higher variance than 'Loaded' due to the higher multipliers. This will be true unless all 5-symbols winnings will be very low (like cabin-fever etc). But actually this is what I prefer about slots.

Ah well i just had a play on Harveys. Have to say its quite fun and kept me going for some time. I got the free spins twice in about 300 spins. First time was 10, second time was 6. The multiplier happens on each spin rather than as an overall multiplier. Most were 2x - 4x but had one at 25x. All well and good but you can predict future threads here and now!

I could get to like this game although this "coins" thing still annoys me - have to be so careful and actually think about what you are staking...dont like thinking Come on MG - put in an option to show money at least!

One other thing, my PC is slooooow and the free spins thing seems to take forever as it counts your coins after each spin. However i found if you click on the reels, it skips the count

I did....and hit at harvey really well!!!!

I got free spin.....25 of them...each spin is a different mulitiplier...some where 2x...i hit one for 25x!!!

I like this one better than loaded..you can hit more free spins during freespin....i hit freespin..and again and again...about 100 fs in all!!

They're really going to have to do something about this counting up malarkey!!! I'm up to 6000 with another 6000 to go, and I've only had five of my twenty five spins!!! I'll be here all night!!! Still - at least my balance is going in the right direction whilst I wait, which makes a pleasant change

I actually fell asleep a couple of times playing Harvey's.

In 8 or 9 bonus sessions, I never saw more than 12 spins, or a 10x multiplier. Only one real good spin for 5 escargots at 5x...

In the end, I lost it all - though to be honest, it *was* a free $50 I doubt I got anywhere near the 15x playthrough, over about 1500 spins (starting at 1 coin, 1 cent for testing, reaching max of 5 coins, 1 cent)

Just played $100 at $2/spin on Harveys. Got the bonus round of 10 spins and a re-trigger of 10 more and made $60.

Never got any more bonus rounds and never made anything over $10 on the regular spins and only got that once, most wins were less than what I bet.

Needless to say, I wasn't impressed but I know how streaky slots are.

on the main game screen it clearly states "all win pay left to right except scatters, which pay any..."

but in fact, they do not.

if you click the "view payout" thing...

it states that scatters pay left to right.

kinda pissed me off when i hit 4 scatters and got zero.

obviously the main page is incorrect as it clearly is NOT paying...why don't they fix it?

Scatters do not pay any - they also pay left to right, but do not need to be on the same payline. I didn't look closely at the main screen, but I did go to the paytables to double-check.

Well, I'd like to pop Harvey's cork!! Three deposits, I didn't even leave the game, I just kept going to the bank. At one point I went almost 500 spins with no bonus round. I alternated between 25, 50 and 75 cents and the bonus rounds I did get ranged from 360 coins to 3500 coins, but they were few and far between. I held out some hope when I hit three wilds and two snails during the free spins, was hoping for the 25X multiplier, but of course not.....I got 2X. I love the game, but my luck sucks the big one right now.

I'm playing Harvey's now... and I have to agree with the slowness of the feature countup. I hit for 12000 and it took so long, I went out to the store and back before it finished. Two spins later I hit for 25000 and I'm thinking I might need a nap before it's finished. I'm up, so color this a low key complaint. lol

Peggy, while it's counting, hit the slots, or the circle where your multiplier shows up. It will automatically add the coins and go on to the next spin.

I hope I change my mind because I was really looking forward to this release. I found it ULTRA boring. I like to be entertained and the dry spells are long and with no color or good sound effect (like Loaded) I won't be a regular player on this one. I will say that the bonus round is exciting but after a couple hundred spins and you get $30-40 Yikes! I'll pass. Nice one CS that screenshot almost makes me want to go back and try again.

Since my last post, it has gotten a lot better - not quite to Bryan's big hits, but I now have cashouts of $400, $500, and $1000 pending at three different casinos, though I probably put in roughly $900.

Best hit was about 40xxx coins, with a couple of 30xxx as well. Best single spin was worth about 26000 coins or so.

Now I can wait until the cashouts get processed - this is how I quit for a couple of days... LOL...

Today they did fix the main game screen to say "all wins pay left to right including scatter". I think the use of the "Scatter" symbol in this game is deceptive because it is not a scatter pay as in other games that have scatters, but requires that the "Scatter mints" be on consecutive reels starting with the first reel. It appears to me that Microgaming has changed the industry standard definition of "Scatter" without making that very clear. I wish they would make it either a "Special" symbol or make it a true "Scatter". It is indeed disappointing to get four scatter symbols and no payout. I will only play this game in guest mode and not for real money, in a probably ineffective protest of the change of the definition of the "Scatter" symbol. I wrote to microgaming with my concerns, and received no reply, but I did notice that they had at least changed the main play page. Probably had nothing to do with my letter, but it never hurts to let the gamemaker know what you think of a new game, be it good or bad. I did get a response from Fortune Lounge VIP club that basically said they had the right to change the rules as they pleased and in this case they pleased. Let the buyer beware as they say, and in this case I intend to beware of any new Microgaming game released from now on. Who knows what they will change the definition of next. Anyway, I found out that the game plays as it's intended to and those of us who are used to being paid for scattered "Scatters" are just plain out of luck.

Kinda. But "What On Earth" insisted on scatters being "adjacent" (l to r, r to l or central) and King Cashalot looks for adjacent (centre 3 reels) too.

But yeah it is annoying when you are used to "anywhere".

With Harvey you are pretty much dependent on hitting the bonus in order to make some decent money and it can be excellent money. It gives less variety and less fun to play it. After reel 2 you already know whether you are going to make some money or not. And since the game is so dependent on the bonus, there's a tendency to keep on playing it in order to reach a potentially very profitable bonus round and get out of the hole. With a game like Tomb Raider you have sessions where you hit the 3 scatters a lot and you get the free spins or you hit the statues well and you get bonus rounds. With Harvey all the excitement is pretty much wrapped up in hitting the bonus round. With Tomb Raider you may have nothing on the first 3 reels but one scatter so you still have the chance for one or two more scatters. If all you get is one more scatter then at least you double your bet; if you get two more you enter the exciting realm of free spins.

Don't know about you guys but i just get very hungry watching those lobsters and escargots all the time. Then if you have a losing session you think "shucks, instead of having wasted my money on this slot, i should have gone to a restaurant and eat that stuff without concern whether they will fall on paylines".

I got all 5 scatters tonight betting .75 and hit for $75 on that . Didn't do very much on the bonus rounds [ got 2] I would go for 4 or 5 spins with nothing . I like the game but don't care for the very low payouts on anything less than 4 in a row.
