Hi Casinomeister,

I am a new member but I play poker more often than BJ. Sometimes I play both at the same time when there is not much action.

do you have a poker section in this forum? How about creating Pokermeister.com?? I can help you guys

Hi everyone,

I'm new to online gambling (and this site) and I live in Canada (Quebec).

I've started playing online for fun (no money involved) but soon I would like to start gambling real money online (mostly BJ, maybe roulette and slots).

I'm not sure this is the right forum to ask this, but since I'm already here to introduce myself, why not! My question is, is it legal to gamble money online in Canada. Also, If I win considerable amounts (1000+$), do I have to declare it (federal or provincial or both). I plan to use Ecocard to transfer money to the online casino.

I've search and it seems that online gambling here is still in a legal "grey zone". So I think there's no problem playing right now, but it might not be like that forever!

So fellow Canadian gambler, does any of you had any trouble for playing money (and winning!) online? Do you have any tips for me?

thank you!

Hi Lucky Player, there is a poker forum within the main forum. You can find it here:

Link Outdated / Removed

There is also a separate section for poker complaints, if you look further down the main page.

Just a tip, when you are posting an off topic subject in another thread, the better course of action would be to start a new thread of your own. If you look at the top of each forum (main page) you are on, you should see a button that says "New Topic" or something like that. Press that rather than replying in an existing thread. Unless your reply is related to the topic at hand, lol. Welcome to the forum.

Han_Solo, I forgot to mention that someone had made a post a week or so ago stating that Moneybookers is coming out with an ATM card in January, 2009. This is excellent news, as once the money hits your MB account (instantly from a casino), you can then go to any ATM machine and withdraw it. No waiting for cheques or bank wires. I haven't checked out the site to see if they have any info on it yet...but I sure am looking forward to it.
