Quite amused the commentators :)

Another casino bites the (star)dust...

That was a funky place. I remember how skanky that place looked with its cowboy charm. I believe that was where CAC had it's mud wrestling event a few years ago. That was funny as hell. :D

Never, ever sit close to the mud pit when watching mud wrestling!

I had to explain to my husband what all that weird mud on my clothes was :D

I hate that Vegas is destroying all the old landmarks. I bet if they had a historic casino, museum style, with plaques on the walls about who played there etc, with all the old machines and such, people would flock there. Especially if you could play all the old machines and tables that people like Sinatra et al used to play on.... You'd just have to market it on that basis instead of trying to compete with the new ones on their level.

The new casinos may be themed (although not so much anymore) but they don't have character.

I find myself gravitating to the older places these days, places like the Wynn are nice but they have no true character at all.

Most of the older places that stand have updated, renovated rooms and are much more fun to explore.

BTW the gamesandcasino staff will have a meeting in Vegas in the first week of December, so if you are around and want to get together, shoot me a pm. :)

I watched it live on tv (the morning news) I kind of got a sunken feeling. I just keep thinking that they should keep the old strip the way it was. I think the history with the Rat Pack, mob and Elvis brought tons of business in that area even though it pales to las vegas blvd hotels

I myself happen to love the newer strip but Im very sentimental when it comes to such history taking a dive to the ground. I wonder how much their gonna get for the cowboy sign!

Did they implode boardwalk yet? That place was a dive on the new strip next to the Monte Carlo, I won there twice but that place had to go. It was really run down

Another tear...

What? You mean that Disneyland mookfest out there? Huh? Come on, you know what that is? Huh? That's a f***ing violation is what that is. Something that used to be beautiful, used to have class, like a gorgeous high-priced hooker with an exclusive clientele. Then along came that Steve Wynn c**ksucker and knocks her up and put her in a f***ing family way. Now she's nothing but a cheap, fat whore hiding behind too much f***ing make-up. I look at her and see all her f***ing stretch marks. It makes me want to cry because I remember the way she used to be.

Goodbye you skanky old place, I'll miss ya... (haven't been in there for at least three.. four years?... maybe more)
