I've just received an email informing the closure of New Dawn casino (CTXM, a software I wasn't very keen on, actually...).

Strangely (at least for me), they recommend two other casinos, which I wasn't aware were connected with ND....

Fwiw, here's the announcement:

We regret to inform you that New Dawn Casino has now closed. We would like to thank you for your custom and hope that you enjoyed your experience with us.

If you would like to continue your gaming elsewhere then there are two casinos in particular we would recommend, both of which feature the very best in casino software and extremely high levels of player satisfaction:

Club Gold, which features Playtech software, offers 20 free chips when you sign up along with a 400% deposit bonus up to £/€/$2000 - click here to claim.

Bet-at.eu, which features Microgaming software, offers a bonus on your first 6 deposits - click here to claim.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you the very best for the future and good luck wherever you play.

Yours sincerely,

The New Dawn team

Club gold is a playtech casino, they usally have good deposit bonuses but withdraw time is very long (like a week). Used to play there alot not so much now.

Bet-at.eu is a MG casino, good bonuses, good chatt and they often send out free cash. I have not made a withdraw yet over there but what I've read they have fast payout.

I would recommend bet-at.eu over club gold.

@manuels58: Was those links affiliate links with tags? :)
Don't know... sorry but I didn't click/follow any of the links and I've already deleted the email
The email was received directly from the New Dawn casino, not from an affiliate, that I can assure you.

A couple of weeks ago I received an offer for a 100% cashback bonus on my next deposit, being that I could claim a 600% deposit bonus simultaneously... it sounded a good deal (one of those like "When the donation is too generous, even the poor suspects about it"), but I'm not keen on CTXM.

The email also mentioned the two other casino's software, but that's not the point...
The thing is that it doesn't seem to have any connection amongst the three casinos/brands and though it's quite strange to find such recommendation on this kind of announcement!

Maybe Maphesto has some reason and the links had something to do with affiliates...

I've checked and even the website is no longer available.

I'm trying to figure out what reason it was New Dawn Casino had when they mentioned Club Gold and Bet-at.eu in that email. If it was affy tags in those links they are hoping for you to sign up and they are earning money as affiliates. If they not had affy tags with those links, maybe they already sold their player database? :eek2:

When a casino closes, their player datebase are many times sold to others. Why you ask? Because a database full of depositing players is a treasure for other casinos.

Well, as far as I know, New Dawn's owner was Cyberneedle NV, also the owner of 'Lucky Hill' and of 'Lucky Win' online casinos.

So, what one should expect would be New Dawn to recommend any of those two, rather than others.
Unless the ND's management turned affiliates when of the closure of the casino (I don't think any of the two recommended ones might have taken ND over!)!

In regards to the player database... it's not legally admissible the "selling transaction" of that kind of personal and private information to third parties, without the consent of the players (in this specific situation).
So, if ND was taken over by another online gambling entity (something I doubt), in principle the new owner has rights over the databases (this is actually one of the reasons for many of those market transactions). But the first holder has the obligation to communicate / inform any and every one included in those databases about what is going to happen to the information. That's a legal obligation.

This is something that really bothers me in this market (and I don't deal very well with that, actually), but that's not easy to control it (it isn't anywhere), unfortunately.
