Net Entertainment unveils South Park as latest branded slot

February 5, 2013 15:59

Net Entertainment, the world’s leading provider of high-quality online casino games, today has revealed its latest branded game title – South Park™, which will contain a number of unique features from Net Entertainment.

South Park is an award-winning American animated television series created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone for Comedy Central which first aired in August 1997 and remains one of the channel’s most popular shows.

South Park™ was unveiled, in front of a packed audience, at the ICE Totally Gaming conference at ExCeL London on Tuesday 5 February. It is the latest Net Entertainment game to be based on a classic brand following on from last year’s release of Scarface™, also launched at ICE, and the 2011 release of Frankenstein™.

“South Park has a cult following around the world and we are truly proud to bring it to the gaming market,” comments Per Eriksson, President and CEO of Net Entertainment. “We have had some great success with branded games in the past, like Frankenstein and Scarface, and our focus on quality and innovation means we always deliver the very best gaming experience for players. South Park is our biggest game yet and we are tremendously excited about its potential.”

Hopefully it's better than those 2, especially Scarface.

I agree.

Frankenstein is a very decent game in my opinion, but Scarface is terrible (which is a shame since the Scarface theme itself had so much potential).

Let us hope South Park will be a cool slot :D

Brilliant - I love SP.
We can have the 'Oh my God! They killed Kenny! You Bastards!' feature.
Or every time Kyles mum lands next to Cartman, have the slot say 'Kyle's mum's just a dirty Jew' in Erics voice.
(Before that gets a warning that's a regular line from Cartman in the show dialogue!)
The Terrance and Philip flatulence feature would be fun lol...

Alas, I haven't seen the slot but I bet they 'clean' it up.

"Packed Audience"? There weren't that many people there!
Bit embarrassing for NetEnt actually, because when they pulled back the curtain, the video which was supposed to play on the big screen in the middle didn't work! There was just a black screen with a little white box in the middle, with the words "No signal" :p
They did get it working after a few minutes...
No actual images of what the slot itself will look like though, unlike Scarface last year. I too hope it's better than that one!

If anyone remembers the 'world of warcraft' episode, when the kids cannot leave their computers, and Cartman's mum brings him a potty so he doesn't have to leave the game? Well, let's hope that doesn't extend to us online slot players at any point..........:eek:

.

Found a Youtube video from NetEnt's South Park announcement at ICE. You were right KK, a bit embarrassing.

Their Scarface presentation last year was much better.

It says at the end "coming in Autumn 2013".

I must have been standing virtually next to the cameraman - I'm sure I heard my own laugh about 3.:30 minutes in! :D

"Packed audience" indeed, feels like an ACDC concert.
 What does that mean?
I've seen ACDC live twice - and they are f*****g awesome! :notworthy

I like Scarface, what do you think is wrong with this game?
The bonus features just aren't exciting enough - especaiily the one with the gunmen attacking Al Pacino...
I generally like low variance games, but this one took low variance to a new (low) level!
