Neteller virtual credit card

Hi, well I managed to use the neteller pre paid virtual card the other day at comet. I also tried to use it at HMV but couldn't even know it made a 1 phantom deposit to check me out (whistle)

So I am really asking do you lot use this virtual card? And if so, where are you able to shop at? THX

I wasn't sure this would work ANYWHERE "real".

Neteller cards are NOT issued and run by one of the UK banks, which is why I thought there would be problems like this. The first indication was an instruction on my online credit card, under "payment by debit card", where it stated that ONLY cards issued by a "proper" bank would work. Neteller have always prided itself in NOT being a bank of any kind, it is just a big casino & poker gambling purse, a storage tank for gambling funds to enable quick transfers, something banks could never keep up with.

The problem with the Neteller card is that they charge for NOT using it, so if you get one, and find it doesn't work anywhere, you have to pay Neteller for this, and even pay them to be allowed to cancel it.

Neteller have to address this by getting together with retailers, and putting together a list of retailers who CAN accept the Neteller issued cards, which are said to be "neither credit nor debit cards".

They are treated as a mastercard credit card by the systems, hence the Mastercard logo. The only time they won't work is if the Neteller system is down for maintenance etc which I have always been notified of by email.
