Okay, I have been running AVG (free version) as my anti-virus program. About a month ago it updated to the 2011 version and I've had nothing but problems with it since then. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it twice now (really considering going back to Nortons ), I've been running full computer scans with Ad-Aware at least twice a day (this takes about 6 hrs each time I run it as I have 2 300g harddrives) and I am still getting these stupid (!) pop ups for Epic Video Arcade, The futon (something or other), Newsonline and cars direct ads. I've gone to their sites and done the unsubscribe shit to no avail. Has anyone else had these problems?

Any suggestions on how to rid myself of these other than wiping my harddrives?

The popups probably originate in the registry which Adaware cannot fix. Do a Google search on the popups that appear and see if they are tied to a certain malware.

This was recommended by the tech at staples.
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

He said to do a full system scan when you download it then once every couple of weeks after that. I have been using this for about a year now and have been having no problems whatsoever.
I also have been running McAfee anti-vi and they both work well together.
Good Luck with this
Bill
