I thought the same thing when I first starting playing it but it does mean the actual bonus symbols you picked during FS.

However, I just want to say keep at it because it really can happen to anyone and I'm living proof. Putzing around last November with .50 spins and hit the "Girls" for over 20k Jackpot.
