...hey its laurie, ill be giving garry a call later on, he lives about 30 mins. away from me and his area and mine wasnt hit to bad, it was a hell of a night with all the counties having tornado warnings in our area. hope all is well with you, im sure garry will be on here soon. memphis and southaven, miss. took a bad beating as well as jackson, tenn. they have said 26 people killed in four of the southern states so far and alot of heavy damages...............laurie

Things were well on this end this morning, lots of limbs to pick up but nothing I can't pay a neighborhood teen to do. Glad to hear all was well there.

Thanks for asking and as Laurie posted mostly high winds and heavy rain here, no damage fortunately here but others were hit hard. Laurie just woke me up,LOL, and said her area (south of me) has no major damage but about every 10 seconds as she was driving she said power poles were snapped like toothpicks. Glad to here all is well near Chattanooga!

Southhaven is about 15 minutes from Tunica and I saw Desoto County mentioned in an AP story but I assume it did not get the brunt of the storm like Memphis and Jackson but I will text a friend in Tunica just to be sure all is OK.

Hey, glad to hear you guys are all OK. I just talked to my folks over in Robinsonville, MS and they told me that the storm just missed them and hit up in Southaven...they are about a mile from the casinos there...so glad their OK too...

Yep RW, my friend who you kinda have met and lives in Southaven texted me back exactly the same! Still getting some heavy wind gusts here in NV. Hope I remembered to use hurricane straps as bracing and anchor bolts when I built this crib as I keep hearing some loud creaky sounds with the heavy wind gusts!!!!

Glad to hear you folks are ok. I'd already posted in the Attic this morning as I was worried. Those storms were terrible for your areas!! Not so bad here. Just noise and rain.

Indeed, I have friends that live right across the street from Grand Tunica, they said all seemed ok there but up North it was pretty bad. There's a couple of youtube videos of the southaven twister. The 2nd is the better video, show debris cloud and evident funnel.
