My Tower Suite at Wynn 2007 -- I MISS those days!

All of my favorite casinos were designed and built by Steve Wynn. These include The Mirage, Bellagio, Wynn, and Encore in Las Vegas and my most favorite of all, Beau Rivage in Biloxi, MS.

I'm so close to swearing off online gaming once and for all. It brings me no pleasure and has sucked every single "entertainment" dollar I have plus some over the past three years.

I miss the days when I actually enjoyed gambling. When I got to stay in lavish suites free and eat incredible meals and yes--even bring home an nice profit in CASH from time to time. I posted this 10 minute video on youtube over 7 years ago. I took it using a Sony Mavica camera just on a whim. I never even thought about posting it to Youtube until after the trip. I must ask myself--doesn't this beat throwing it away online?

I have stayed at Wynn a few times and will be there over Christmas this year in a Tower Suite.

Yes of course it beats the on-line experience - and my $1000 free play or whatever I get this time does not come with any wagering requirements, max bet rules or anything else.

On the other hand, playing online does not require me to sit in a metal tube for 10 hours.

I hope you BRING DOWN THE HOUSE!

For me, it is only 3 hours in that metal tube--and good fares are always available. I hope you have a great trip! If I had the options available for online play that you do I'm quite certain I would not be on the verge of quitting.

That looks amazing :) Yes it does beat throwing it away online. Before I stopped playing online, the day I closed every account I had, I asked for my RTP no casino could give me stats where I had over an 80% RTP. That's pathetic! I'm technically playing games that have an 80% RTP. My impression was that I might as well have used that money to book an airfare to Vegas, stayed in a hotel, played real games at a real casino, and probably still done better. With such bad luck online it's not like I could do any worse.

You should go. Put half the money you would spend playing online each week into a savings account. Re-live the experience. IMO rather than just sitting in front of your computer playing a game that's not even on a real machine. The higher RTPs online casinos claim to have arent worth anything when you can't benefit from them.

go for it ! im off there next year for a week birthday bash along with a few people , so as from new year im going to restrict my play ammounts upto june when im going there ,im not just going to vegas though im doing a few other things aswell , so ive not wasted my trip playing all nights & days in casinos a couple of shows etc etc & want to see the grand canyon whilst im there , anyone knows of anything else to do there i have 2 days to spare to where i would like to do something else )

Will this be your first trip to the American West?

Whether you have or have not had an opportunity to visit the western part of our beautiful--albeit--gun ravaged country I hope you have an incredible "holiday." See as much of California as possible from San Diego to San Francisco and beyond as time permits. The coastal drive from LA to San Fran is an experience for anyone to treasure.

May I suggest if your time and budget allow, scheduling Las Vegas as the last part of your vacation? No matter how disciplined a gambler you are, if it is your first trip to Las Vegas it is unbelievably easy to get caught up in it and lose far more budgeted. There is just something about Vegas--especially on the first visit.

yep its my first trip but only going to be at vegas for a couple maybe 3 days , the other four days i would like to have a little bit of tracking to see things as i wouldnt like to waste all my time at vegas , my brother in law was at san diego for 5 years we went for a week & had a great time , so i need to find a couple of days doing something worth doing )

Caesar's has sent me a couple offers for free airfare/hotel in Reno (and maybe also Henderson, but I can't recall ATM) - it's an offer of which I'd take advantage, but 50% of why I don't do it is because, as someone else said, you have to spend so much unpleasant time in a metal tube, and I just HATE flying more than almost anything.

I don't mind the flight , as long as I don't have to sit at the back!

So much to do in and around Las Vegas apart from the gambling, food and shows. I've had some great trips to Grand Canyon, Death Valley etc and it's not that far to drive to LA.

I take around $1200 a day for slots and with that I get free rooms at Wynn, $200 a day towards food/drink and around $1000 free slot play. Because of the house edge on slots, you don't need to be a high roller to get decent comps even at the top end casinos - if I was a blackjack player Id need to play at least $300 a hand for 4 hours a day to get the same deals. (On the other hand, less chance of coming out ahead, but I've had some decent wins, the best of which was $13k on Bombay.)
