UK betting firm William Hill has received a merger offer from rival gambling companies 888 and Rank Group.
William Hill said it would "listen to and consider" any proposal.
However, it was not clear that a combination of William Hill, 888 and Rank would "deliver superior value", the company said.
Online operator 888 and Rank, the UK's biggest casino chain, said they saw "significant industrial logic in the combination".
The move comes just days after William Hill's chief executive, James Henderson, was ousted from the bookmaker following a series of profit warnings. ...
Well as I dont play with any of these it wont effect me but could well do those that do. Although Lads and the like seem to have there interest firmly in the FOBTS which is where
a massive part of the yearly profits come from. Maybe thats why they have such a crap online offering. Business wise makes sense. Although personally I never play those foul inshop machines.
What is the average RTP% of those FOBTS / Fruitmachines in the UK?
I always wondered because I take the ferry from Ireland to the UK from time to time and tend to play a bit on the slots on board of the ships.
These are all UK fruities, mainly Barcrest and Maygay and I always found them very tight.
Especially the slots with higher JP's like £250.00.
If I may compare with slots in The Netherlands I find the UK slots very hard to win on.
They are fun to play but £50.00 doesn't last long on those most of the times.
1 time I ever hit big on a Cops and Robbers and had a nice £150.00 profit.
Mr Henderson, who took the helm in August 2014, had failed to resolve problems in the firm's struggling online business.

Think the ferry clubbers tend to be about 65% they are not allowed to be played until a certain few miles off shore!
I once put a pound in some random global/maygay and won £250 out!
