Is it my imagination, or a run of bad luck?... is anyone winning like they used to on MG slots? I've been away for close to a year from online playing. I tried all of my old favorites.. and all of the new ones. Nothing came back at me and my 400.00 bank got zapped quicker than I would ever have thought possible. Any slot players out there? What's your experience with MG casinos as of late?? I was playing at Casino Grand Bay and the Bella Vegas. Terrible! Terrible!

I played slots at Sun Vegas last night and had a good time. Deposited $100 and an hour later was up $4.

It was actually my first time to try the new Viper software. I LOVE it!

Wow you were up $4 in only one hour! Amazing! Nice going man!

Enjoying MG slots

I am up several hundred dollars over the last few weeks at MG casinos, mostly on slots. I play at Riverbelle, Lucky Nugget, Spin Palace, Golden Riviera, Sun Vegas (recent addition for me), and hope to go back to playing at 7 Sultans sometime in the future (see thread on "Thumbs up for FL").

I play mostly Spring Break, Thunderstruck, Belle Rock, Big Kahuna, Secret Admirer, Hot Shot, and am trying the new Tally Ho and King Cashalot. Occasionally drop a little on Break da Bank and Riverbelle Riches.

Yes - Thunderstruck does nicely for me...if you can weather the streaks. Tried the new slots - Tally Ho is based on the Tstruck model but x4 on the Free Spins and only 10 of them. Prefer the x3 and 15 as on Tstruck myself as there's more chance of a "rollover" on the Rams.

Have you noticed the graphics getting worse?

Yes Simmo, I would say Thunderstruck is probably my favorite.

Have you guys out there noticed that each new round of games coming out has crappier and crappier graphics? The new Tally Ho graphics are cartoonish, poorly executed, and lacking entirely in any background work. Guess we know where they aren't putting their profits!

I don't know what it is.. but when I play thunderstruck, the 3 rams never come up. And Secret Admirer.. if you don't get the bonus round going.. with the diamonds.. forget it! And that's more rare to see than a mermaid taking a dip in your pool. Out of the 400 dollars, I think my best hit was 30 dollars for 4 scatters on the 5 reel fruitmania progressive. How sad is that? I played spring break alot.. but never got the 3 beach party symbols to start the bonus free spins. If you're not hitting, the viper software is so fast that before you know it, you're busted. Gopher gold and oriental fortune were very good to me before the viper software came about. I noticed a radical change in payouts on those two. My favorite slot is Treasure Nile. I've won some huge money on it in the past.. but I usually wait until I have a sizeable bankroll before I start playing it because at 4.50 per spin.. you need alot of money to survive. "Hey Microgaming Company!!.. did you ever think of making a version of Treasure Nile with a smaller coin denomination? Like quarters or dimes? Smaller coin denomination and smaller jackpot..... it's not rocket science! I know alot of people wont go near it because it's pricey. Anyway.. thanks for your feedback guys! It's nice to know that everyone's not doing as badly that I did.

I thought the graphics on Tally Ho were horrendous and very primitive looking. Like it had been done for a junior high class project or something. Very odd compared to the rest of the games. That one is expensive & tight. I only got the free spins once or twice while playing it for a long time last nite. Tunzamunni was fairly tight as well, but King Cashalot was pretty fun. Got the 3 dragons a couple of times and picked a 900 & 1080 coin chest respectively. Pretty fun, but my best round was on 10 hand jokers. Dealt 4ok (3+joker) at one point, so I made a couple of hundred on that hand. Ended up +100 overall.

Forgot to mention

Oh yeah - how about those line numbers on several of the newer slots (many of which have been out for months!) that all say '5' instead of 1 through 9!

I wrote to MG right after I noticed this the first time and they wrote back saying they didn't understand my question. Pretty dumb people overseeing the design end there. You gotta figure that more people than just me wrote to them pointing out this fairly significant mistake.

So what Microgaming slots is anyone doing well at? I like the 5 reel, 9 liners. I stay away from single line slots and the 3 reel 5 liners. Just don,t have any luck on them. I used to be strictly video poker for years, but had become bored with it a couple years back. I know that slots are the worst odds.. but I also know that every once in a while you can win a huge jackpot. Last year I had a great night at 32 red and hit many nice ones on slots for a final of over 14,000.00 dollars. I'd like to see another day like that one. Anyone got some screenshots?? Post em! I love seeing winning screenshots.

Deposited $50 for 200% bonus at Lucky Nugget Played Thunderstruck. Hit $125+ 8 times in clearing the 5000 wagering requirments playing 2.25. Never hit when I increased bet. Was up to little over 1000 at the highest. Met wagering requirments when I was back down to about 300.

Wow! That game is a money-sucking game for me most of the time. When I hit the thousand mark like you did.. that's when I zero in on Treasure Nile. There's some big money to be won on it if you're there at the right time. I've had every possible win except the progressive many times on it. 5 Pharohs pays $3000.00. I got it twice one day. I think I've gotten it at least 10 times.

Those are actually showing how many coins bet on that line - but you're right, it is a bit silly since you can only bet an equal number of coins on each line, whereas some real life machines will let you bet odd amounts.

The other line numbers

Spearmaster:

I am talking about the line numbers up in the main body next to the reels that show where each payout line begins and ends.

Yeah its streakier than bacon - i had 497 spins last night (in P4F mode luckily) before the Rams hit. But recently had the 5 Rams come in - posted that shot in another thread already but what the hell....it's great to see :p

As you can see in the Thunderstruck picture, they actually used line numbers there.

For King Cashalot, they have used the same positions as coin counters.

And for lack of a better picture, I'm going to spam my jackpots site so the others can see what we're talking about.

Simmo!!! No wonder there aren't any rams around these parts... nice hit :)

That's what he was talking about too. Those 5s are the number of coins you've bet per line. Try clicking on the button below that says coins and watch them change.

Ah Ha

JPM:

I stand/sit at my computer corrected.

I did check that out. That is just stupid. It's not like you can play different coins amounts on different lines (except to have 0 on some if you select less than the max lines). They are useful as line designations as they are used on most of the multiline slots.

Yup it sure is. I was thinking the same thing when I first saw it. Why are they all 5s?? Then I played with the coin/bet amounts and saw it change. I think its just graphics for the sake of having something there.

hi guys
i was thinking the same about micro slots. i have just put 600 into thunderstruck. i did not get the rams once! and only plaing 2-25 a spin! i got a lot of silly little wins though. my luck is just not in at the min :(

I used to get crazy money on MG. But in the last 3-4 months things have changed. I play every night but no more for awhile! The hits aren't what they used to be. Hey can you guys tell me how to resize my screenshots so I can post them on that winning screenshots thread? I have gone nuts trying to figure it out on my own...don't get too technical I am computer illiterate. Thanks..

It can be streaky but thats pushing it :) I had a run of 497 spins without the Rams yesterday but today i got 4 Rams in one spin and then another 4 in the Free Spins. Then bugger me if the same thing didnt happen about 30 spins later! The strategy i use for tis slot is as follows:

Deposit $100, use autoplay running 50 spins at $1.35. If you get the Rams, start over at $1.35 for another 50 til you dont get them in the 50. When you don't, up the stake to $1.80 and run another 50. If you get them, drop back to another 50 at $1.35. If you don't get them, up the stake to $2.25 for 50, then $2.70 for 50 etc. Works for me generally. Everytime i get over $200, i cash out what i have over $200 and start over at $1.35. That way, you can be sure you get something back and generally it works out that you don't lose a lot. The Martingale Variation for Slots in a way :)

Today i deposited $500 and withdrew $1100 using this method. Yesterday i deposited $300 and withdrew $100. I never Reverse the Withdrawal by the way - always deposit fresh from NETeller til the pot's empty.

Sounds to me like there's alot of Thunderstruck fans out there. I'm sure I could grow more fond of it if I could just get something. Do you folks think that some of the 5-reel 9-line MG slots have a better return than others? If so.. what are you most lucky on? BTW.. thanks for that screenie of the 5 rams! That was an awesome catch. I guess my single best hit on a slot was 5 dynamite symbols on the Gopher Gold with a 5 dollar bet... ..won 5 grand for that one. At a land-based casino.. my best is a natural royal on a five dollar deuces wild with all coins in for 20 grand. Another great one was winning $750.00 on a slot with just a wager of three nickels. But the best series of wins in one session was a bunch of great hits on Treasure Nile that added up to over fourteen thousand dollars. That was before the days of viper software. I haven't had many good outings since they incorporated the new software..... and Treasure nile used to run nice and slow on the old software.... each wheel stopping one at a time with a slight pause in between each wheel stopping. I think it was more exciting than it is now. The way it is now... the spins are fast.. and the wheels all stop sooo fast that your eyes have to catch up with the results.

I agree - though you can change the options. I have mine set to slow - better in Video Poker too.

Some awesome wins in that little lot Tim :) I've not played Treasure Nile much - my methods suit the slots where you can up and down your wagers and i think that one is fixed at 4.50 isn't it?

Thank you! and yes! it is a fixed amount of 4.50.... which is really a bummer. I love the game and the ancient Egyptian theme... but I sure wish that they had like three seperate progressive payouts, so that you could play for a smaller jackpot at a lower cost.
