I was playing mermaids millions today and I got the treasure chest feature. I picked the chests, and it displayed the win, but when I went back to game, the money wasn't transfered to my balance. I spoke with CS at the casino and they say they see the record of the wager and are working on it. I am confused as to what would cause this to happen? Anyone else ever have something like this happen? I logged off and back on and played a few spins but my balance was never credited. Any ideas?? It has never happened before, but makes me wonder about MG.

Yippers, one time the screen didn't rhyme with the logs for me.. You'll prolly see it in bush telegraph and tombraider too. I took their word for it that it was a visual cack, not rng, the log files should be available to you - ask?

Did you get your credits back guys? I have a screenshot of it, and they do acknowledge that it happened. I'll have to see if they fix it today. Not that it matters I guess, it's $50 and that doesn't last long on MGs these days for me!

Well I think it matters a lot!
$50 might not bother you, but that's a lot of money to some people.
But far more importantly is this could have happened to 100's of people & they never noticed!
I record all my slot play on a spreadsheet & would almost certainly notice if I was ever under paid - but I bet the vast majority of players don't do this & it could easily slip by unnoticed - especially with low-rollers.

Please keep us informed as to what the casino says about this.
Thanks!
KK

Yeah - 32Red gave me $250 for the inconvenience. Not quite the $10,000+ that the wheel stopped on on the screen but it wasn't 32Red's problem so I was grateful to them for the gesture. What peed me off was that Microgaming didn't even say thank you, let alone offer any sweetener, for a) identifying the problem and helping them with it and b) the fact that i got very, very excited when I saw a $10k hit on the wheel only to be awarded $12!! It was a pretty major bug where there were 2 less "slots" in the software than their should have been so the pointer could land in one and show the player a different result - they fixed it and released a patch inside 3 days (on a Sunday). Next time I find a bug like that on MG I'll be approaching it in a different way for sure.

Well this is fast moving toward an online casino complaint entry. Here is the situation. Yesterday I was playing HOHOHO slot at Villento. I hit the three packages free spins bonus. Instead of playing the bonus right then, I left the game and went to mermaid millions. There I got the 4 mermaid free spins bonus. Again I didn't play the spins and went to play video poker for awhile and let those spins sit as insurance against a bad run in VP. Sure enough, I was losing alot, so I went back to HOHOHO and activated the free spins feature which worked fine. I then went to mermaid millions and did the same thing. I got the 5 treasure chests pick bonus and when I hit the back to game button, the win was not credited to my balance.

I went on live chat with someone named Kim, and she assured me that she had checked my game play and indeed saw the transaction at issue. Just got home awhile ago and there was nothing in the balance, and no word from Villento. I went on live chat and was told that Microgaming says that because I left the game, I wouldn't get the credits?????? Someone explain why this would be the first time that this would happen? I have played this way many times and smell BS. I hope they resolve this quickly (Villento is suppose to call me within the hour) Otherwise, I totally give up on this. I thought this place would be good (and still hope so) But after the Jackpot Factory debacle, I'm just not sure anymore.

Yeah that's rubbish. Any of the other slots you can do that - i play that game from time to time. Run round before bed setting up the free spins, then when I wake up I go play them all out. Works and so it should.

That's what I've often done also Simmo. This one is over $50 (same as at JF), I cannot believe they are taking their time in fixing this. Also, if I hit the chests during free spins, they potentially owe me alot more!! Once again, I have to crusade to get these guys to do the right thing. I am trying to hold off further judgment until I hear back from Villento. They said within the hour, but the sand has about run out of the glass. May have to pitch a major bitch about this.

Right Spear, I offered to send the shot of it to them, and Kim told me "no need, we have it here in your playcheck records". I have this same Kim on the phone keeping me on hold now for some time. I'll let you know what her story on it is. Don't MG sites tout in the FAQs about how disconnection won't disrupt your game play?? Log back on and everything will be as it was.

O.K., just got done talking to Kim who said that the money was credited to my account only I didn't see it because I was playing another game and it went in as I was playing something else?????? A manager is suppose to call me tomorrow about this, so we'll see. It really makes no sense to me, and I didn't ever disconnect from the site. Why would I want to start the free spins, then leave the game and not see what I get?? I mean, free spins is the most exciting and interesting part of the game isn't it??? So I'm not sure what they are talking about. Besides, I had just picked 5 treasure chests and won $51.85 and was attempting to return to the game when this ocurred.

I suspect the problem here is that the "pick" is somewhat bogus. The values were already determined BEFORE you made the choice, just as the result of the double feature is when you hit "gamble", and not when you pick a card, suit, etc.
Free spins are different, saving them can, in theory, change the result from what it would have been had you played them straight away. There is NO ADVANTAGE in this though, you are just as likely to miss out on a good run as you are to move from a bad to a good result by delaying.

There is a similar "bug" in the VP double game. If you press "gamble", but exit before selecting, returning to the game will remove your gamble option, having declared it as "lost". I tested this in free play, and found it held true for a number of attempts. Slots are different, there is no up card to start the feature, and thus no perceived advantage in quitting.
I believe the VP "bug" was to stop players seeing a dealer high card and attempting to withdraw without playing through the double game (advantage to player in this).
I have noticed recently that there has been a change in the behaviour of these gamble features, and this test may need to be redone (in fun mode of course!).

Leaving free spins pending MAY cause problems if the software throws a tantrum, as they are not stored in Playcheck, and players could find they had "lost" all the setups when they come to play them (Simmo!). There would be no proper evidence to reclaim the lost features from the casino, who will probably say "serves you right".
This incident with the treasure chests shows that this DOES occasionally happen, even though unfinished games and features are meant to be preserved.

On all those mermaid clones, the pick 3, 4 or 5 symbols, the amount you select is credited to your balance as you pick. So if you picked 3 100 credit amounts the first 2 100 credits would be reflected in your balance before you picked the 3rd. It doesn't add them all to your credits after the bonus is over. The only thing you see ticking up on your balance after the bonus is over is the last pick.

I also had a 'software glitch' with MG a couple weeks ago, and haven't heard diddly about it. Playing Lucky Stars @ Roxy, got the bonus and the screen locked up on the big wheel and got stuck there. I wrote them and they said they contacted MG and they were working on it. Haven't heard anything since. I know they ARE working on it, they removed Lucky Stars from the game list, but I guess I lost my bonus round.

I understand that it credits as it goes, but you figure it out. My cash balance said I had $24, the "YOU WIN" box said $51.85. It literally doesn't add up. Suppose to hear from them today. Caveat: I was suppose to hear from them yesterday and I wound up having to call them back. Hmmmm

How would this work? Winnings are not credited until you press collect or reach the limit on doubling up. Once you press the "double" button, you are committed. Imaging that you are playing blackjack, and you have 16 against the dealer's 10. If you exit the casino and come back the next day, you will still have the same cards and you can finish the game, you cannot just erase the game and get your money back. Why would doubling up in VP be treated differently? How big is your sample size? Is it possible that the casino simply plays out the double if you log out, since it has been established that the result is determined as soon as you hit the button. If you automatically lose your double up if you disconnect, then this is a genuine bug and MG should be rogued if they don't fix it promptly.

It also goes against ecogra requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

Continuity
SP
O
108.R.1All information required for completing an incomplete game shall be recoverable by the system.

108.R.2The system shall enable players to complete interrupted games, within a reasonable timeframe, whether from loss of communication with the end-player device or an event on the system.

Suggested Practices:

Continuity

O
108.P.1 In the event that the software does not allow a game to be completed, all bets relating to the incomplete game should be returned to the players of that game.

Don't blame you Simmo! Microgaming's success has gone to their heads. Try and email them sometime... they wont bother answering you.

Well, things go from bad to worse I'm afraid. This morning I had a very animated conversation with a SUE from Villento. She said that playcheck shows that I was paid on this win, but in 3 increments??? I have never heard of such a thing. She then proceeded to offer me a $30 bonus. I explained that I'm not hunting for a freebie, just want what I won. She maintained that according to playcheck I was paid. The shot I have of this spin clearly shows the YOU WIN box with $51.85 and my balance box shows around $24. They claim that I left the game during free spins, which is not true and that is why it happened. I then spoke to a JARROD who claims to be a manager who repeated the same thing that SUE said. I really feel screwed, and I don't think they meant to do it, but it happened and whatever it shows on their side, my balance never was updated on my screen.

I need some help. Can one of you guys tell me again how to post the screenshot to this thread? It has been so long that I don't remember how. That way you can look at it and see what you think.

This Jarrod then offered me a bonus of $51 (non cashable of course) and once again I feel like I'm being put through hoops just because there was a glitch (which they deny of course) I basically told this Jarrod to do what he wanted because I was so frustrated with them at this point. They claim that after the treasure chests, my balance jumped up on playcheck but it didn't on my end. I'm suppose to just take their word for it and go away I guess. I think that's what I'm going to do. I am now so disillusioned with all these clip joints that can't even admit a mistake. I'm guessing that they are afraid to admit there was a glitch because it would ruin confidence in the site. Mine sure is! Another classic case of terrible customer service and a very bad business decision on their part. I've only been playing there a few weeks and I have already spent around $2K with them. All over $50! How do these people stay in business??

Jarrod, if this is your idea of smart business, I wouldn't even let you manage your time!! In fact, it's a good thing that you always say there isn't anyone else there to talk to about it, because you would be pounding the pavement for treating a good customer this way.

H Pacers,

First download this

When the casino is the active window on your screen (you'll hear the music) hold down Alt (one of the lowest leftist buttons on keyboard) and press Prt Scrn (first of three uppest rightest buttons on KB)

That action puts the casino pic on the 'clipboard' of the computer's memory.

Open irfanview

Press Ctrl V to paste the image from clipboard to irfanview

Then in the irfanview menu click on 'Image' then drop down to 'resample/resize' and choose 640x480 pixels

save as whatever.jpg
+++++++++++++++

When you post your message you'll see a little formatting control panel above your typed message.
Click on the paper clip, browse to whatever folder on your computer the whatever.jpg is in, click on upload.

When you are about to 'submit reply' as always, you can 'preview post and it should appear. You can't really format the placement when loading from your own computer, only when the image is on the web at a Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)

Good luck

This morning Gerrard (not Jarrod) emailed me that they had credited me with the $51. I checked my account and sure enough it was there. Seems like a giant hassle over something like this, but they did attempt to placate me at least. I just don't know anymore!!
