Not sure what got me thinking along these lines...

But as most people know, a typical download viper client of MG is a huge 10gig+ right?

Why cant they just let you download a standalone casino Microgaming client and THEN choose which casino to play at from a list. Could be fun too like which casino is hot or number of players online etc. when you enter the software just load your favourite site like 32red or Jackpot City.

My poor laptop is nearly full with just a handful of MG casinos lol.

Would it actually be possible for them to design it like this? As surely each spin is downloaded from a server. Doubt we will ever see this. But would save a lot of space on my poor laptop ha!

Hope your all having a nice relaxing weekend anyways :)

It is kinda set up that way already, each casino is actually only a couple hundred MB, and they all share the same cache folder (C:\ProgramData\MGS) which is over 10GB. Not all files in there are shared, but the majority of them are. Each casino will increase the size of that folder, but not by much.

The first MG casino you install, it will take time to download each game, but when you install a second casino, you'll notice the games "download" much faster. It only has to change the skin for each game and get your game status/info (paytable achievements, bonus levels, etc), so it doesn't download the entire game again.

I didnt think it was as much as 10 gigs, What I have noticed is the games can take forever to download

It seems daft to download 10GB worth of games when the vast majority of players only play about a dozen slots anyway. Why not download them as needed only?

from my experience alot of the games are download auto, others you have to install hense why it takes ages as loads are trying to dl together,

10+ gig hidden folder on drive C: should not exist in this world.

Is it difficult to let user to choose a path or download only those games that are actually been played?

I thought it was to much, I have just checked my comp, Only mg casino I have left is 32red, I done a complete clean the other day,
Here is a sreenie of how much its took of me, 10gigs is far to much
