Has this happened to anyone..? You open the casino, it says there's an update available, you download the update and restart the casino - and it won't load. The casino starts and then quits. This has happened to me with River Belle and Spin Palace, I had to redownload both of them because I just couldn't get them to open. Now it just happened with JackpotCity. Does anyone know if there's a quick/easy way to get them to work? The problem is that if you redownload, then you have to wait for all the bloody games again - I'd really rather not have to do that. Thanks!
This started happening to me too, and at the same casinos. The thing they all had in common was that the update changed the lobby over to the "new" layout, which is the CRAP one, where you can no longer simply click on the Icons to redeem comps, check play, and check transactions, but have to load them through the browser after clicking on "my account", and then have to BLOODY LOG ON ALL OVER AGAIN just to redeem your comps
This new lobby has caused no end of problems, and this is just the latest. MG are now rolling it out generally, yet have failed to correct the bugs found during the testing phases, which began with Royal Vegas and All Slots quite some time ago.
I am having the problems on my NEW XP machine, so they cannot blame obsolete kit for this one.
These casinos STILL HAVE the age old Thunderstruck bug where reels 1 & 2 jump then freeze, and 3-5 just spin endlessly, during free spins - sometimes showing a nonsense figure for remaining free spins of "-1".
The ONLY redeeming feature is that MG casinos do indeed search the local PC for copies of the common files during an install, or reinstall, which avoids the download of 1 Gig or more of data, and a wait of several hours. There does seem to be an issue where old MG casinos meet with new ones though, as the new lobby and search for common files involved a considerable restructuring of the program folders for MG casinos.
I solved the problem by reinstalling from scratch, and they then install fairly quickly if they are able to latch onto another new MG casino and collect the game files locally.
EDIT
I have just installed Prime Casino from scratch, and it's own folder comes in at under 30 MEGAbytes. It seems that there is considerable space saving under this new system of common shared files. Unfortunately, to benefit properly, all the long standing MG casinos need to be uninstalled, the folder deleted, and reinstalled with the latest installer. It seems that the upgrade when applied to MG casinos already on disk will leave the 1 Gigabyte or so of what is now "garbage" lying around, and this space is not returned to the computer user.
I have looked at a few that have been around for a while, and they are still around 1 Gigabyte, despite having the new lobby. Those that I was forced to reinstall (Riverbelle, Jackpot City) are far smaller, under 100Megabytes each.
