Member Info

Does this forum share user information with casinos if they ask for it? No complaints from me - just curious.
No. The only time any information is shared is via the PAB system where the member gives us permission to do so. Or if a member is having difficulties with an online casino I'll put them in touch with them - that's about it.

The only information that is shared is the information you make public via postings or your user profile.

Thanks, Bryan. I posted a remark about no longer receiving good promos from a certain Rival casino and the next day I received an email from them offering a special promo. In the subject line of the email was "(Issue #xxxxxx)" as if support was processing a ticket. Coincidence probably even though my user name here is different than my username at the casino.

FWIW, some casinos can't seem to send an email without assigning it an Issue number. I expect it's just an automatic thing, some in-house thing they've got set up.

Ah, but you don't give credit on how observant casinos are. :D

It's sometimes easy to spot a player who complains in public and figure out who it might be. Some of them (casino reps) spend an incredible amount of time checking out what's up on the public boards. It's a good thing really, since this creates a relatively dynamic atmosphere in cyberland. And a responsive conscientious casino is usually a successful one.

I'm not saying this happened here - all I'm saying it's a possibility.

I agree that there's more good than bad in casino reps keeping their fingers on the player pulse by regularly and conscientiously reading the better message boards.

At the very least it shows an interest in what players are saying.

I guess inevitably some will have an ulterior motive, but its my belief that those would be in the minority, as it's a time consuming practice that requires a real interest.

Posters can imo reveal quite a lot about themselves over time, especially if they are active and frequent contributors.
