Thursday was fantastic: Andrew Crosby, the Senior Account Manager from NetEnt, had invited me to join him and the development team at the Portomaso Casino. I arrived and found NetEnt's developer crew playing slots in the second-hand smoke laden VIP lounge. Novomatic has introduced a gaming lounge-chair that Homer Simpson would covet - the game controls are located on the armrests. If you're too lazy to push the spin button right where your hand is, you can use a foot-button. I've heard that there is a Porta-John version in the making, but I could be wrong about this.

The boys were doing their homework - studying the games and just have a good bit of fun.

hopefully they studied the standard over 1000x novomatic max payout too and not only the features(Power Stars - Starburst echoes)

Malta is a great place to visit but it should be kept in mind that bacon is PORK so the idea of that is not a discussion that we need to have as they are about 90% muslim there. But i have been there a few time,s many year,s back when i was living in Germany which was great and i would love to come back soon. I lived there for 6 years and i have many great memories. It sound,s like the they are trying to keep it all in line and that is great. I look forward to the time when we here in the US can play anywhere and at any casino. That will be great. BOZO is a great place also and i did the tour there and it was all very good food and the lamb in most cases was excellent. A bit of the heart burn but i like most food,s from different countries. A big win would put me in on one of these conference,s but the fund,s have to be there for sure. No sense going if you must worry about fund,s? I wouldn't be so much worried about this (at least is my initial opinion)
European directives usually are treated as a joke by state members, and are only basic guidelines.

At the end I see each single casino requiring whatever they want being or not being necessary, depending on the casino, as it always have been, as it will always be

And I think there is a total lack of resources to control this, there is no European Gambling Authority.

I don't know...doesn't seem to be so much serious...I think if casinos doesn't attend to this rule, no one is going to kick them in their asses, and if players deny to provide certain documents or information, they will lose customers, so at the end I see all of this going nowhere....

Are you sure you didn't mean Morocco?

Malta is about 98% Roman Catholic and has over 360 Catholic churches. There are relatively few Muslims there (about 2200 - mostly foreigners). I meant that the hotel had no bacon, not Malta.

I should have some more info on this today or tomorrow. I may have gotten my dates wrong, it may be 2017 not '16.

Malta is not 90% Muslim. actually its one mosque in the whole country.

I was just a bit confused after reading your statement and had to look it up, since it hasn´t fit to my memories of malta i visited a lot when i was a teenager.

it never felt like e.g. tunisia - not islamic.

I support this policy because it will prevent illegal cash, money laundry and fiscal fraud.

But considering that the first ones rotten by black money are the same politics who are establishing the guideline to follow...I see the apocalypse coming sooner than this policy....
