Receiving mountains of spam from "Lauren", which includes Manhattan Slots and Club World. Unsubscribe doesn't stop it and CWC will not stop it. How can a group who blatantly disrespects people be accredited?

You too?

I was going to post the screen shot of my email. It's rediculous. 2-3 per day from Lauren, clubworld & Aladdins. I thought accredited casinos didn't spam. It just goes to show you how desperate they have become. It wouldn't be so bad if they would include a free chip once in awhile.

Took me weeks of emails, instant chat and unsubscribing to get it to stop. I finally emailed the rep from here and got it to stop and had to email the rep again for some others they convienently forgot to remove from the email list......I finally got all of them hopefully...it is truly bad when you have to constantly BEG them to stop sending stuff you don't want!

If I wanted a bonus, I would sign up for them...but since I rarely take them. and asked them nicely to stop sending me offers that are useless to me...you would think they would listen the first time...but nooooo...it took WEEKS upon WEEKS to get them to stop it from all my accounts even after I LISTED them and sent them all in.

I mean, if you want to give me some freebies, just give them to me...but don't offer me something I can' or won't use..

So, yes, it has finally stopped hopefully..I was getting them every day in multiples...it was so damn irritating..

My last one for All star Slot took me 3 weeks to get them to stop...so perserverance pays...but it shouldn't have to go that far..

Good luck everyone!

.

Hell,

I get tons of spam every day from everybody in the casino biz. I just hit delete, end of problem.

I do think that this comment...

"Slots and Keno Roll over weekend! Claim all these three coupons (FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and SUNDAY) and you will receive a $50 FREE CHIP on Monday"

is quite humorous. Doesn't it sound like they know you will lose on the weekend coupons but, hey, no problem. We will give you a free $50 on Monday. Of course the wagering requirements will make the weekend bonus requirements look like a piece of cake!!

You sure have more patience than I do, Silc! :p

Same here bullshizza from Lauren - Marked as junk but still annoying
all offering the same BULL bonuses and specials.

I started getting a new one today, for Manhattan Slots, but it's not the usual that comes from Lauren. This has no unsubscribe link.

Ok, they either aren't f@#king paying attention or the simply don't care. You've got an accredited casino group here spamming at will and not respecting requests not to do so. I have clicked their unsubscribe links, I've emailed them, yet today here's some of the same shit in my inbox. Isn't Max or Bryan going to contact them and tell em to cease?

It would help if someone flagged us to have a look at this. Four guys, hundreds and hundreds of members, thousands of posts per week + PABs + site management and updates + travel + conferences + blah blah blah. You do the math.

Anyway, now that I've seen it I'll see what I can do to get some attention drawn to it.

I am concerned to read through this. The unsubscribe links that we include with every email should work, however it is clear from this thread that something has gone wrong.

It would be a massive help in investigating this if any of you who have recieved emails despite unsubscribing could PM me your casino usernames and forward me copies of the offending emails.

Kind Regards
Tom

Tom, I sent you a PM

Thanks!

I "Unsubscribed" 2 days ago for the second time. Lo and behold today more garbage from Lauren. Unsubscribe links should work if the list is run on an opt in opt out correct basis as it should be. And the emails should be removed instantly the user clicks "remove me" plenty of decent mail software have this built in as standard!

hmmmm for the last month I get at least 4 emails from Lauren a day I to have tried to unsubscribe doesnt work. It is very annoying and Club World is very lucky that I like their speedy payouts or I would have closed acct just because of spam. By the way Lauren seems to be the link with all of are emails.

hi all. first time poster. i think this forum is awesome.

does anyone know how to make a "reply-bot" ? i would love to send them back 10 emails for everyone they send. lol, show em how annoying it is.:)

Two wrongs don't make a right. ;)

Tom from Clubworld, I have forwarded everything I have received this month so you can see they were pretty relentless.

Thanks!

Well update finally got a reply to my email telling me to take me of there list. They have done that and also closed my casino  not that I give 2 hoots as the spam n calls etc were enough to put me off ... anways another one to my own private No play pit :)

Un effin real I spoke to soon - just got an email now from Lucky Red sent from "Fiona" offering a bunch of bonuses. 3 Time I have now hit the UNSUBSCRIBE button - makes no difference! ClubWorld rep I will PM you, but im stating in public I should NOT have to PM a rep to get taken of an email list Very bad practice!

I have investigated this one and while everything technically is working I think I have figured out what has created the problems being discussed here.

1. Our server’s response to unsubscribe requests

All unsubscribe requests are bundled together and sent to us by SFTP once per day. Our server then polls this data and updates our databases to prevent any further emails being sent. When I investigated this I discovered that the server was set to poll the previous day’s data rather than the current. This meant that an unsubscribe request may not be effective for up to 48 hours, resulting in another email being received the day following the unsubscribe request.

I have worked with my DBA to rectify this and effectively closed off this gap.

2. Individual Casino Subscriptions

We treat each casino in our group separately with regards to email subscriptions so that players can choose not receive emails from Casino A while continuing to receive emails from Casino B. The flip side of this however is that if you want to unsubscribe from both Casino A and Casino B you would need to click on an unsubscribe link for each casino separately. Considering that we have five casinos in the group it is clear how this is compounded.

I have specified a technical development that will allow our players to manage their subscription status with each casino, however if any of you want me to manage your subscription status across the group while this is in progress please PM me your usernames and the casinos that you do / don’t want to receive emails from.

3. Our contact strategy

As we have grown our group so rapidly in recent times the volumes of emails that we are sending out have increased accordingly. It is clear from the feedback here that we need to take another look at our contact strategy and I will have new procedures implemented in the next few days.

While I continue to work on this I would welcome any further feedback you guys have in terms of how you would like to be contacted.

Thanks
Tom

You can start by grouping your casino website links together as the 7Sultans group does. They ask what casino you want to unsubscribe from and there is a list you can choose from. Simple, easy effective and it WORKS, just as English Harbor groups connected casinos links work just like 7Sultans. So it has been done by a few groups already.

Thanks for getting this darn thing working the way it should hopefully!

I know for those of us that really dislike bonuses 99.9% of the time it is just irritating to get these useless (for us) offers.

Someone said why not just hit delete, it is as simple as that...well it really isn't as simple as that when you belong to more than one group, you could be getting up to 50 a day....and when some of the headers say we have free money for you...well of course you are going to open it then find out the money free is a stupid match bonus..

So, I would rather not get any of these from ANY casino and this group was the toughest to stop. But at least now they are aware of it. thanks!

When I first saw this thread I though it might be about the thing I put on facebook about once a week which is about a promo for Manhattan Slots where players can win a free $10k shopping trip to Manhattan.

I was so relieved when I found it was not me lol! Putting the same post up about once a week for this promotion on facebook and twitter isn't considered spamming right? It lasts until the end of May so I wanted to make sure anyone who wanted to take part of the promo could. I would never ever send an email out more than once. That's just annoying to players.

Anyways, I am not sure I want to advertise for this casino if they are bugging players so much with that many emails.
