I am finally taking casinomeisters advice and introducing myself. My name is Julie and I love playing tournaments. I have been a member since 2008 but am not here alot. I will try an change this in the future cause I have great respect for Mister C. Meister and would have probably saved myself hundreds of dollars if I would only stop in at least biweekly to read up on who's being good or BAD. My biggest win ever was at ROXY Casino when they used to have US Players, and when US players could play the progressive machines. It was about 10 am at work and it was slow and the boss was gone so I thought I would play FruitFiesta :D. After about 14 minutes the screen changed to a JACKPOT screen and I found myself with an extra $23,289.00. I scared the only person in the office with me, (the copier repairman). Unfortunately he told my boss and then my boss informed me that he hoped it was worth it, I was fired for gambling at work. I have a great job now so all is well. I dont play at work anymore but cant help feeling that if I didnt play that beautiful morning and take a risk, I would have never had a chance at a progressive cause shortly after that win, US players were banned from microgaming progressive machines :sob:. (that was a sad day). I guess it was worth it. Getting paid was a whole other story, but finally months later I received it. Sorry if I typed too much. This might be the last time Im asked to post again! Thanks for listening. Adios!!!

Welcome!

Hello, Julie and welcome to the forum!
You Jackpot hit is awesome, however it's bad that you were fired for that. By the way, right at this moment we are discussing gambling at workplace. You can find the thread here:

Maybe you can share some personal experience with other members :)

Welcome to the forum! Was that copier repairman a prick or was it an innocent mistake on his part to blah about your gambling at work? Did you slash his tires after getting fired? :D

Hi Julie and welcome here.

Just out of interest how come it took so long for Roxy to pay you? For starters Roxy from what I remember when I played there, used to be a good operation. Also I thought these MG progressives were held by MG not the casino, so why the slow payout?

As slotmonster mentioned we are discussing this very topic now of gambling at work. You should put your experience on that thread as its a good story.

Oh and Westland it could have been worse for Julie, as she could have had a big loss, and the photocopier man told the boss!
