Low-risk Microgaming slots?

First-time caller. I'm playing a Microgaming casino and got lucky near the beginning of play. I'm up about $200, but still must wager an additional $1,000 on slots. I'm seeking the best option for keeping the majority of my winnings while meeting the wager requirement.

I plan to auto-play a minimum of 9 to 25 cents per spin, otherwise my computer would be tied up too long. Looking over the available games, Hot Shot and Vinyl Countdown are intriguing because I can play 9 lines, there are no bonus features to increase volatility, and the max payout is a low 1,000 coins. But I've had bad results at these games, and this casino doesn't offer them in pennies anyway.

I believe the other penny games all offer bonus features. Ho Ho Ho and Reel Strike offer 15 lines for reduced risk, but the payouts seem very low unless you hit the free spins, and even then the payouts are usually nothing special.

Spring Break and Tally Ho have not been kind to me. I've had probably my best results at Secret Admirer and Thunderstruck, but these games are vacuum cleaners unless you hit the bonus rounds.

There are lots of old-fashioned three-reel slots with 800/1600 max payouts, where I can play single-coin quarters without penalty.

Finally there are the mega-spin games. I don't have the casino in front of me, but I believe I can play an 800/1600 three-reel game such as Double Magic for dimes, although I have to play at least 4 instances at a time. But for 40 cents per spin, I should have less risk than the single-instance 25-cent version. My results playing this game have not been good.

Thanks for any advice.

If you want to lower the variance then play just one line with the minimum bet.

Try Chief's Magic. Anyway, I think that's the name. The jackpot is 600 coins. Each reel always stops on a symbol.

Some new Vipers don't have this.

Good luck.

I had a great experience with Zany Zebra(3 reel), but you have to play all the 5 lines to have the best payouts!
In some casinos you can find it with penny coins, only in the download version!

WR with Microgaming

Sal Monella,

Back in October a Microgaming casino imposed a WR on a new deposit I had ,that they linked to another earlier bonus to block a $200 cashin of mine. I gave up fighting with CS and per JPM on another thread, I took his advise and ended up cashing in about $400. I would lean towards the 25 cents rather than going much lower. Per JPM: (I did use autoplay with some monitoring).

I'd suggest the 2 coin slots with multipliers like Jurrasic Jackpot, etc. Some of those will tend to return even money for a while. Jump around if find one that's not hitting. Start at 25c and move up if its hitting.

Let us know the outcome.

Lol. Excellent comparison. And you're right...

I just did a $8000 slots only WR (and won!), and the best machine by far was Tomb Raider:-

Wagered $4,538.45, Profit was $293.60 = +6.47%

Only trouble is, most MG's seem to have this with 5c min per line - and you need to play all 15 lines for the bonus round... :(

Good luck whatever you choose!

Thanks for all the feedback. I think my game of choice may be "Cosmic Cat," which has a 25-cent minimum. It's a 3-reel slot probably similar to the old Chief's Magic, which is not available at this casino. Cosmic Cat has a max payout of 500 for one coin or 1,000 for two coins, so no penalty for single-coin play. And the wild symbol does not double the payout, so this should be a low-risk game.

In theory, the bonus video slots should have lower paybacks because of wasted time during bonus features. And Tomb Raider should pay less because of licensing fees (although with a 5-cent minimum, it may pay better than games with 1-cent minimums). But I guess there's no way to know for sure. (BTW, I checked Zany Zebra, and it has a 25-cent min.)

I'm playing a signup bonus, so there's no danger of previous wager requirements being carried forward.

Stop being a cheapskate and just bet like a man. Scared money never wins anyway!

Some good slots info in this thread. I didn't think that many people paid much attention to them.

I usually deposit $1000 and play BJ and VP before ending my session with a few slots. I play Megaspin High5, Fantastic 7's and Double Magic at minimum coins ($1.80) until I hit a bad streak, then I switch to $90 a spin. Been lucky, winning a few $1000 and $1500.

But last week-end, I hit three 7's for the jackpot (2500 coins) while I was betting a dime. Frustrated, I turned to a different slot, betting max coins for 8 or 9 spins, switched to minimum coins before losing all my money, and hit a jackpot of 800 coins on the next spin. That's $450 as opposed to $16,250. I quit and went to bed, promising never to do that again.

I'll try again next week ;)
