Just logged into BetFred to check my comps etc, and saw this in the promo window. It's just a typo but for some reason it makes me laugh. Maybe it's the wine, but it's fun to say. Quadurple.

It is a bit strange to see spelling errors like this one. It is possible to integrate a spell checker into almost any program these days, so this could easily be avoided.

I think it's a ploy to get people to play the new game. Afterwards all these players will be saying, "Hey wait a minute...I was supposed to get quadruple comp points!" And they'll say smugly, "Oh no, if you read it carefully it says qaudurple...which means something completely different. It means if you call us to complain we'll burp in your ear FOUR times. Too bad so sad neener neener neener."



EDIT: Actually I've seen lots of typos in promos from all sorts of different casinos, this isn't really that uncommon. But for some reason I found this one funnier than most.

I still remember the funniest typo ever. It was in a chat room over 10 years ago. All he did was miss the letter C in the word chair when he was typing. One letter missing makes a really big difference.

The sentence read "I've got to get rid of this hair my ass is killing me."

I agree with you Chopley. For such a major corporation, this is a wince-inducing lack of professionalism. One doesn't simply throw together an image and publish it.

This is the kind of thing that would have caused Steve Jobs to eat someone if it happened in an Apple product. It's funny, yes, but you wouldn't catch me dead using the product of a company that let this slip.

Talking about typos I sent a pm to IanO once. In that pm I did and awful typo and asked him to bare with me
He was nice and understanding of course and told me that it maybe should have said "bear with me"
