As this is supposedly being touted as "the future", would you trust live dealer casinos bearing in mind there is no player log and the recent questionmark raised by a punter at Ladbrokes? If so, what precautions would you take if any?

I said only if it was a good casino. I mean its pretty hard to muck up a live blackjack game but if you are desperate casino you will find a way.

By a very strange coincidence, I just went to the 32Red casino Lobby (don't normally - just pick games from my favourites) and there's a menu item "LiveDealer" which takes you to a new lobby with bacarrat, blackjack, sic bo and fantan (whatever that is!) How long's that been there?!?! :eek2:

It's been there since the 21st of August (Monday)! :)

Of course, depending on if and how reputable the casino actually is, I'd be more inclined playing BJ than I am at the moment. At least for me, it takes away the excuse of the RNG not playing fair, and I suppose I could live with that.

The only BJ I play these days (with the occasional hand of single-deck on MG flash) is pretty much at Bet365. The only problem there is that you can't interact with the other players, just the dealers, which slows down the game considerably. But I actually do well at BJ w/ live dealers, so I'm all for it!

I would go back to playing live games ONLY if the major players offered it, and were providing their own feeds.

That, plus it'd have to be at least a 768k+ stream to make it worthwhile....and dealers that didn't spend more time chatting with their co-workers than dealing the cards.

Oh yea, it'd also be nice to find one with more options on the spread. I'd rather play a $5/$10 > $300 spread than sitting at a table of $1-$100 players. Really sucks when someone next to you is playing $1 a hand that doesn't know BS and doesn't hit/stand when they should, therefore taking/not taking your card, and/or the dealer's bust card...;)

Only a matter of time

Big names

Wow spooky thread Simmo i was just away to start another thread asking how everyone else was finding the live dealer as ive been finding some disturbing news on it.

As said earlier people would think that big name sites would be good to play on. Sadly this doesent seem to be the case at the moment but as this is a new industry it may just be teathing troubles.

The reason i say this as a "punter" who again is having problems re the live dealer i wont say what the problem is at the moment as it is being looked into as i type but to me it is slightly worrying to say the least.

Ive been told may take a little while to be looked into ill update as soon as have any news.

I dont like live dealer casinos much, because I dont like to wait.

But if the matter is trust I voted : Only if the casino was a well-known online casino, even with 3rd party feeds.

Yikes! "Live-over-the-Internet" gambling gets down to the bare essentials

We're not sure what "live-over-the-internet" patent holder Mel Molnick will make of the latest angle on live gambling - an outfit called Grand Nevada.com has launched an Internet casino product where the action includes nude or scantily clad croupiers!

Using what it calls "Live Nude Casino Technology" the operation has free and educational game play as well as the real money tables, where it claims: "Customers can now play online casino games, with real live nude dealers, and win real money!"

Grand Nevada.com also boasts over 45 fully 3-D casino games with interactive betting and tournament options and games ranging from poker to craps, as well as slots and poker offerings.

Created and financed by Toronto based 121 Gaming Inc., GrandNevada.com says it is the first-to-market with a 'patent pending' interactive Nude/Bikini gaming platform based on industry leading technology and software. With several million dollars invested, GrandNevada.com intends to "...bridge gambling with adult entertainment into this exciting, new hybrid offering."

I looked at this when the news came out - but they are not really "nude" if I remember - they are "topless". It's clearly a con ;) "Show me the money" :D
