The neo-Marxist Labour party has threatened to ban gambling sites sponsoring football teams and raise more taxes from the industry if elected. This would only be part of the colossal disaster for the UK if L*bour did get elected but bears thinking about anyway:

Just watching the interview with Tom Watson on ITV.

If they do get elected (big if) and make their plans reality then we can kiss goodbye to the freedom we currently have regarding our hobby.

What will happen is that some of the real problems concerning addiction will be cracked with a sledgehammer and extreme solutions put in place affecting those that can control their gambling.

So they completely crack down on the long running problems in the industry, and don't pussyfoot around the issues we have with the 'regulated' industry we have here - a good thing surely? Provided we still have the same choice online etc.

Of course if L*bour get in it won't matter much, after ruining the economy and creating a wasteland a la Terminator 2 we'll be lucky to still have basic services, like the NHS, public schools or food/water

It doesn't bear thinking about, the pseudo Jew Corbum being paired with racist innumerate Abbott. We'd be better off importing Kim Jong and installing him - at least he's funny. Just picture his chubby face and then imagine the Gangnam Style video...:D.

I like his brother, Piers Corbyn, the wizard of weather forecasting, but wouldn't give you tuppence for any career politician, regardless of party. If he wants to do something really useful, he should get rid of the FOBTS

Didn't there used to be a 10% betting tax, back in the last millenium, my memory is a bit foggy?

yes, I recall that - you could pay tax on your bet in the bookies @10% or choose not to. If you didn't pay the 10% and won, you'd lose 10% of the winnings instead, as tax. It's about 20 years since I went into a bookies so wouldn't know what happens now, although I think the Tories abolished the 10% betting levy back in the 90's?

Labour would tax your backside if they could generate money off the contents

They have a habit of spending what they don't have, and then working out a way for someone else to pay for it

Another cynical headline grabber policy if you ask me (what happened to their election promises on tuition fees?)

This is from someone who voted Labour up to the point that they started lying about Europe (specifically constitutional referendum) around 10 years ago

I've been a voter for 20 years and I don't think I've ever been less enthusiastic about the current state of UK politics

Unfortunately all our political choices in the UK are shite right now.

Corbyn is right, Capitalism isn't delivering the goods for most, these days. Unfortunately, the answer to that is not brain dead socialism!

Expect total economic collapse if these idiots ever get into power.

Hmm, I'm still with Stormzy on this.

Reminds me of the 1970's and 80's when the NF used drum up support and recruit at football matches. A captive audience of young, naïve and gullible people to swallow the shite wholesale and become the next clutch of 'useful idiots' (as Corbyn's hero Stalin used to say).

These leftist extremists are no different to the BNP, in fact even worse as at least you knew the BNP agenda and what they were all about, this L*bour lot are very good at hiding their divisive and autocratic ambitions.

Read the coverage of the Labour conference on the BBC website - i've never read anything so biased in my life.

Diane Abbot can't speak in public without mentioning her skin colour and imagined rascism. Plus she's barely literate.

The Torys should abolish the licence fee and disband the whole
Rotten operation.

I know - having her as Home Secretary would be like the present government appointing Nick Griffin to become Minister for Immigration.

I was Union member myself for years, I'm all for social justice but not with their level of bigotry, irresponsibility and economic ignorance.

Fuck me, whatever next. I don't know why they just don't ban everything recreational or remotely enjoyable and turn us all into mindless automatons.

pretty sure that is the long term plan as we move closer and closer to the cashless / genderless/ voiceless society aka Orwell's 1984,

might change me user name to drone 1

God help us!
If Labour got into power (especially with Corbum in charge) then gambling restrictions would be the least of our worries...

KK

Ain't that the truth. apparently there are still quite a lot of mindless idiots that still vote Labour - I know.. beggars belief!

Well, as they say, "If You Are Not a Liberal at 25, You Have No Heart. If You Are Not a Conservative at 35 You Have No Brain" :D

It's mostly an life experience-based leaning. I too fell for the whole Blair 'Things can only get better' shtick in '97 when I was young and stupid, and thought Labour was the way.

Much like those bribed/ drunk/ stoned Glastonbury dwellers who can't tell their arse from their elbows, they really have no idea what the hell they're advocating.

Ask that audience in 15 years and they'll still be shouting "Corbyn", albeit in an angry manner at how he and his L*bour government brought the country to its knees. F*ck Abbott, Corbyn & L*abour
