Hi, i only want to ask if anybody has restricted now the progressives slots and the rest of video slots but the "normal" slots (not progressives).

I asked to re-open my account (i closed it before) and i played but only at slots, the rest weren't "operative".

Regards.

Hi confabulador - thanks for your question.

Since Klub8 relaunched this month, all games which are prohibited during bonus play are locked, as all players automatically receive the welcome bonus.

If you would like to play the other games, simply contact support through the Live Help function in the software - tell them that you would like to play other games, and they will be opened up for you, but you will no longer be eligible to receive bonuses.

In this manner - it is impossible for someone to breach the bonus T&Cs by playing a prohibited game - thus all players who clear the 8x playthrough requirements with winnings in excess of the bonus amount (which is removed) will be paid quickly providing they do not have multiple accounts or otherwise breach T&Cs (pretty hard to do, I'd say).

I believe that Klub8 is the first to manage the bonus and games in this manner - and we welcome comments and suggestions and feedback on this policy. And of course if you (or any forum member who registered their forum ID before August 1) haven't already registered for the Casinomeister promotion, I'd encourage you to do so.

Sorry but it's not true. I've never played with bonuses in this casino, and the deposits i've made are of 10$ so i'm not elegible for bonuses. So it can`t be because of bonus restrictions.

I know this didn't solve confab's problem but it is good to see a Casino taking positive measures to make bonus play as painless as possible.
Is this specific to your Casino or is it a new Playtech thing?

I think perhaps I didn't make myself clear.

Since the relaunch - about three weeks ago - the system was reconfigured to allow only games which are permitted for bonuses. As you probably signed up before the relaunch, you were defaulted into this category automatically. It has nothing to do with your play in the past. All new players since the relaunch are also unable to play prohibited games.

All you need to do is contact support and all games will be available to you again, but you will not be eligible for bonuses as we do not permit play on progressives with bonus funds, and the same goes for all players who want to play any game prohibited for bonus play.

Sorry for the confusion.

Hi Rusty!

As far as I know, Klub8 is the only casino which has implemented this policy. We want our players to have a good time playing at Klub8 without having to worry about playing a prohibited game - and conversely, neither the player nor our support team need to waste time checking to see if a prohibited game was played.

That means support only need check for multiple accounts - which is something they can do quite quickly - hence your cashouts can also be processed more quickly - 48 hours is the default time for a new (Jade) player - but in practice it's usually taken care of within 24 hours.

Unfortunately, confabulador appears to have signed up before the relaunch (as I don't have his player ID I can't check) - and thus was affected by the new configuration - but I am 100% sure it has nothing to do with his previous play, since it applies to all players by default!

We realize that some people may want to play table games, or video poker, but at this time we are not able to offer a bonus for those games - given our 8x playthrough, which is probably also one of the lowest available. So if players want to play these games, they must be taken out of the group eligible for bonuses - and a simple request to support will accomplish this.

If, at some time in the future, we are able to offer a bonus to table games or video poker players, any reconfiguration will immediately make those games available to all players without affecting their eligibility to receive bonuses.

In short - only players may determine for themselves whether or not they wish to receive bonuses, provided they understand that only certain games are permitted. We will not otherwise restrict players from receiving bonuses except at their own request.

I hope this answers your question :)

Yes that answers my question thanks.
I really hope the system works and no games are accidentally left unlocked or locked. Kudos to you for implementing it.

Thanks, Rusty :)

We're pretty sure everything has been correctly implemented - we did quite a lot of testing in advance. And if for some reason some game was accidentally left unlocked, we would probably ignore it provided the player didn't abuse it - after all, it's still covered in the T&Cs.

If you try it out, let us know.

Hi me_and_ed - check your PMs.

Can you please advise which email address you sent the email to? Obviously if we have not responded promptly then I apologize in advance, this is certainly not the way we intend to treat our customers.

I agree, this can only be good for the player as it takes away any misunderstanding they may have on a bonuses T&Cs, restricted games ect
and if Klub8 can do it maybe further down the road more casino's will do it,
its something i would like to see more of.

Thanks, zebedy - someone had to be first :)

We can't comment on behalf of other casinos as they may have different reasons for their software settings, but it occurs to us that we should try to make things as simple and enjoyable as possible for the player.

Naturally we would appreciate any comments, suggestions, criticisms so that we can continue to improve on our offering.

Me too!
It is almost incomprehensible that in this day and age almost no casinos use the technology available to them to eliminate sooooo many problems! :eek2:

Kudos to Klub8, and may ALL casinos follow this example! :notworthy

Very few Playtechs will follow suit as many are rogue operators. However, this is a good start nevertheless and as long as the software can do it maybe Bryan could consider setting this as accreditation criteria ie the casino should (as long as the software has this function) disable all disallowed games when a bonus is taken. Actually, I know Rival can do it as Progressives are disabled when certain bonuses are taken and that applies for MG as well since Progressives are locked in Fun Mode. Dont know about RTG though.

Thanks to Chuchu59 and KasinoKing for their kind words!

Actually, it's a bit kludgy. You can still load the game - it's only when the game is loaded that you get a popup indicating that the game is unavailable. It does take time to configure and it's not as flexible as we would like - for example we can't ban all table games except for a particular game (like Wild Viking) - either we ban them all or we allow them all.

That being said, we believe that is still preferable to prohibit certain games/categories as long as you can live with a popup only showing up after the game has been loaded.

Think of it as being similar to demo software - you can play certain parts of the software, but in order to play the other parts you have to purchase the software or earn an unlock - and in our case you simply have to let support know, and the "cost" is that you give up further bonuses.

I don't believe that it is right to force this type of requirement upon other casinos for various reasons, because there are many factors involved and frankly we may discover something wrong with this method, as it is new after all :) On the other hand, it might be nice to make this a prerequisite for some sort of a higher "standard".

Klub8,

For me, I cannot play any games now as I am from Hong Kong. I can still download the software still but even if my account isnt locked all games are disabled.:D

I understand your position but from a player's point of view when taking a bonus, it is imperative that the correct games are played otherwise the casinos will use this as an excuse not to pay. From the casinos' angle, especially the accredited ones, they dont want any fuss with regard to the Terms and Conditions on allowed games for bonuses. Even the clearest of terms have scope for debate. I have seen many a player trying to abuse the bonus especially 100%+ ones and bet the full balance on even money games eg Baccarat or Roulette and then grind out requirements. It is then argued that while the games do not count towards wagering requirements they are still allowed nevertheless. Disabling various games may be somewhat complioated but it should be beneficial to both genuine players and non-rogue casinos.

I downloaded and

deposited yesterday, what threw me into confusion is that one game that I did play, very clearly had a Progressive scrolling, I did ask support but they just said eventually, if you can play it, it is fine. I found it all a bit like hard work to be honest.

I started off with $150, and never saw the spins, that could be quite normal, Im not that familiar with this software, I have played it in the past and remember liking the alien game, but that was one unable to be played. I think Ill stick to my normal haunts for now.

Its all great that they are locking out games for bonus purposes, I agree with this system, it doesnt change the fact that my email was ignored until I posted here, and it was responded to with nothing more than corporate lip service, never did answer one of my concerns regarding playthrough, the rep did PM me , if I was not a member here would it have been responded to at all??? Its irrelevant now, I will stick with Bet365, account at Klub8 closed.

Well yes, I'd say it is beneficial - but possibly not practical for many operators. The downside to what we've done is that players have to request their status to be changed - some players will not realize this, or will forget why they can't access other games, and rather than contacting support, they could just stop playing, which of course is not what we want to achieve.

So what we've done should be considered a beta test of sorts - certainly not something I would recommend all operators do.

Hi Sparkles!

Do you remember which game had a progressive scrolling? We're checking all of them individually now but are reasonably certain that networked progressives have been correctly locked. As mentioned in an earlier post, you may actually be able to load the game, but then you will receive a popup that the game is unavailable and you will not be allowed to place a wager.

The game you are referring to is Alien Hunter - it may be that the game is not available because the Dollar Ball progressive side game is available - this is not the intended effect and we are looking into how to resolve this issue as Alien Hunter is a very popular game. Thank you for letting us know.

Again, apologies for the inconvenience - as I am not the one who monitors that particular email address. However, my colleagues actually responded before I made contact with them so I can't take credit for getting it done :)

As for your stats - I am getting them now and will send you a PM - apologies for the delay as I understood you had already been taken care of.

Hi Klub8

The game that showed progressive $90000+ scrolling across the top, was called desert something, I think it did have a dollar something about it, as far as Alien Hunter im pretty sure support said it was one not avaliable, though maybe they said that because I said it was unable to be played, I tryed to get into it quite a few times but the same box came up. Not sure if this helps at all.

Hi Sparkles!

The progressive is called Dollar Ball - it is an optional progressive bet that you can make while playing some of our slots.

Unfortunately, the configuration currently means that games which have the optional Dollar Ball progressive can't be played - this would include Alien Hunter and Desert Treasure. You will see the tickers but you won't be able to place a bet - this is of course not what we intended as many popular slots contain the Dollar Ball progressive.

Thanks for your comments - they are very helpful, and we are looking into a way to solve this problem so that your favorite slots will once again be available to you. We will respond to your PM shortly.

Hi Sparkles!

Apologies for the delay - please check your PMs.

We are still looking into how to make those slots available again, but as you will hopefully understand, getting the configuration right is important to us so it's taking a bit longer than we'd hoped.

Will update again later :)

Well done, Nifty!

Our standard payment processing time is 48 hours on business days, but in practice your payment will be processed faster than that if all your paperwork is in order.

We are pleased to report that, thanks to Sparkles' post here, we were alerted to a problem with the unavailability of the slots with the Dollar Ball progressive.

These games, including Desert Treasure, A Night Out, Thrill Seekers and others are now available again for your enjoyment! However, Alien Hunter is currently unavailable as there is a technical error which needs to be resolved. We will let you know once Alien Hunter becomes available again.

Oh - and Gladiator has arrived too! :D
