king kong question

sorry for new thread, but does anyone know if 4 scatters of king kong has to be on a winning pay line to be paid for 4 "scatters" or just anywhere. As weirdly just hit four, but only paid £1 for 20p stake instead of £10 for 20p fr 4 scatters, i.e only paid for 3.

Here i screenshot, the £18 is in game win an it did defo not pay £10.
