NEW YEAR'S LUCK FOR SIR CASHALOT ONLINE PLAYER

Progressive slots player scoops $1 745 475.28 jackpot at Captain Cook's Casino

The Sir Cashalot progressive slots jackpot at Captain Cook's online casino has been won by an as yet unidentified player who saw in the New Year in style with a win worth $1 745 475 and some loose change this week.

The player becomes the tenth millionaire created by the Microgaming progressive network, which has paid out a record $220 million since launch and recently launched the Mega Moolah progressive, where the jackpot is currently sitting at $1.1million.

Roger Raatgever, CEO Microgaming commented, We are delighted that the Microgaming Progressive Jackpot Network has kicked the New Year off in style for one lucky player and in the process created our tenth millionaire."

As we went to press no information was yet available on where the player lives or what his (or her) plans for the major windfall might be.

LOL. So by my reckoning at $4k a week, the maximum cashout, he should be fully paid up by April 2015 :D

As far as I am aware, Microgaming Network jackpots come from a seperate and independent account from those of the individual casinos on the network.

MGS have always made a point of emphasising that their progressive jackpots are paid out in one immediate tranche, and three of their big winners that I have met over the years have confirmed that that is how they were paid.

Yes that is true. I was taking the p*ss a bit after the same group recently tried to pay a Major Millions winner at Casino Classic on this forum in weekly shots. The mistake was eventually rectified:

Just out of curiosity, how did they recieve the payment? Was it by check or a online processor? Where any of these winners American? I'd always wondered how large payouts are handled by players.

Not that I'll ever see one myself.:(

Payment is, I believe a matter of personal liaison between player and operator/network and for reasons of privacy I suspect most players would probably be reluctant to discuss the details that are arranged on these life-changing wins.

The guys I spoke to had all been offered independent financial advice if they wanted it in order to deal with the initial worry of becoming an instant millionaire.

Let the winner know that I will be most happy to shoulder all the worries....
