Just a gesture of appreciation for bovada

Payments a little slow? They are top rated with regard to payout speeds in most of the online poker payout reports! If for some reason you're not satisfied with their traditional payment method speeds (checks, wires, etc), I highly highly suggest learning how to use bitcoin. It is a bit intimidating at first, but ultimately, it's very fast, cheap, and easy to use once it's set up and running.

Not too long ago Bovada was downright awful when it came to payments. They had serious issues and pissed off a lot of people! Glad to see they are back to the way they were.

I was just like you. Reticent to use bitcoin and attached to paper checks. Once I tried btc though, I never went back to paper checks.

I was always, and still am hesitant to use Bitcoin. Main reason being that the exchanges such as Conbase have a tendency to ask where the bitcoins came from and will shut your account down if they find out it's gambling related.

After having NO luck at 3Dice this morning... Woot, hit free spins on Scary Rich 2 @ Slots.lv (bovada sister site) at $5 a spin... three coffins & two rats later I had 3500 in my account. (On the third spin, was only going to spin 4x.)(If you're not familiar w/that one, Savatage, the coffins are expanding wilds & multipliers in free spins.)

Blew a thousand of it :eek2: & have a pending bit w/d now for $2500. Not bad for a $25 deposit. :D  :D

I'm so jelly!! Hah nice win labeled! Man I really need to get into scary rich 2, I have tried and I seem to spin so many without even a little hit but I will give it a try again here. Yea 2500 is a nice take away!

How's SR2 with .40 and dollar hits? I'm assuming you worked it up around those numbers.. Does it have some nice hits for those smaller wagers?

Ops! My bad :p and thanks I hope so too! I just need a little something lol it's an ungodly cold steak!

Your story reminds me of mine quite a bit. I started off hot at Bovada (then known as Bodog), made about $10,000 in less than 2 weeks. Fast forward about 4 months and I was down about $35,000 ($45,000 - $10,000 that I won). Fast forward another 2-3 years, down another $40,000. My point being, if you are having prolonged cold streaks and are losing money in bunches, QUIT while you still can before you ruin your health. Discovering Bovada/Bodog was my biggest regret in life. I've been gambling free to for about 1.5 years now and built up a very nice bank balance thanks to some great business decisions but it could've easily been much much worse! Just a word of caution, my friend! They say that gambling should be fun but, in reality, it is anything but.

Wow that is seriously sounding like my situation a bit and here's why, since about last may In total I've won about 35 to 40k...had a jackpot win for about 10k, had a handful of 1500,1000, 2k, 4k cash outs... And I mean I know that isn't sustainable but it starts to get fishy to me when I literally can't even have fun. In June in goldbeard I racked 3k but sadly lost it, won back 2200 or 2400 cashed, came back and won 4k and cashed...and since then I simply am giving even red cent back. And I mean I've never had it this bad.

But what I hate is no matter where I go now....my deposits are just gone without even teaser builds of winning a 100 bucks or so.. I just spin to nothing now nonstop and I'm not so deep where I feel sick but I feel like why can't I have even a little redemption right now? Slots aren't like the lotto where it's next to impossible, they do payout that I'm convinced and know... So why can I typically play and enjoy my spinning winning and losing, then go to literally loss after loss, loss loss loss loss loss.... Loss...nonstop weeks on end.

Like I always said, flipping a coin is random...if you'd flip that coin 50 times. I just don't see how you could go on a steak for like 25 flips or in this case deposits, getting only one side. The chances I'm sure are mathematically there but probably so low its not even worth considering.

As for quitting, I hear ya... But I also have enjoyed some nice cash I wouldn't have had in a nice chunk if I didn't play. I enjoy it and I don't think I'm to far gone because I keep it pretty balanced but right now I do feel I could quit as I'm spinning my wheels and have for weeks now no matter where I go

My friend, I know the situation and the shitty feeling all too well as I've been through the exact same thing on more occasions than I can count. Constantly playing and not even enjoying it anymore but constantly going back to those slots (my vice was European Roulette) and constantly losing. Then a small win streak comes where I would cash out 1/10 times and lose all others. My greatest (s)hit was when I deposited $300, worked it up to just over $50,000 in about 10 days, cashed out $7,500 and lost the rest in less than 24 hours. That was the straw that broke my "addiction camel's" back. It's been over 1.5 years and I lost only about $1,000-$1500 mostly on sports (betting on underdogs), an amount that I would normally lose in 1 month. This may sound crazy but I'm happy that I lost most of that win as I feel that, had I cashed out, I would've continued to play and given it all back eventually and more. When I think about it, gambling is not fun and we gamble not to win money but because our brain is just looking for action (read: fix). If we can flip that switch off, we have effectively killed our addiction.
I hope that you either put together a nice win streak or that at least you come to the realization that gambling is not doing you any good and you are able to chalk off the losses and walk away. Either way - best of luck to you! :)

It is fantastic at .40 (and yes, you're right), some of my most surprising wins on SR and SR2 have been at .40 - several hundred dollar hits. A dollar is usually terrible for me, tho! They'll both "let you know" if they're going to pay or not. Usually will hit really fast, within a few spins, or keep giving you bet-or-above winlines until they decide to hit.

Today was a little bit of everything of my fave Rival games, Gushers Gold hit bonuses and the "jackpot" feature, Shamrock Isle hit free spins quickly, same with Candy Cottage, which then hit the bonus round 2x in FS. Nice nice nice when it goes that way! lol

Better luck to you, I know how frustrating it gets after you've had some nice hits then nada for months.

Man I'm now feeling a tad sick. Like another 400 or so and just couldn't build any higher than like 150..i mean I can't get anything that gets me fired up, just doesn't matter what I do.. I was on casinomax, bovada, ignition, all the same... Just nothing.

I just have not had this hard of a time catching a bonus round on a 2 or 5 spin and getting that 6 700 dollar hit to where I can least clock or keep trying for more.

Sometimes I sit and think how sick slots can be... It's like wtf am I doing, yet when I win its glorious but these moments it's just terrible...

I guess I don't understand the mathematical possibilities that I can spend a few thousand now over the course of a few months and not get a single worthwhile hit. I know slots are built to make you lose but I went a year with never going more than maybe 2 weeks or so without something.

It's why I can't help but think something is tied to a person's social, I know it's probably not true but when someone takes a good 30 grand or more I feel they're like "ooook you're on timeout buddy"

Man, I was in your shoes exactly many times! The feeling when you win was THE greatest while the feeling when you lose was like a 5mt boulder falling on top of you.

You might need to step back and stop playing for a while. It seems like you're chasing a big win rather than just playing for fun and entertainment. That's a big problem and leads to a very slippery slope. I think we all experience the highs that come with winning and the lows of losing but realize that's the nature of the beast with gambling. You win and you lose some. I just hope that you consider my unsolicited advice. Please know that I wish you nothing but the best.

That is excellent advice, Rachelle! I've been talking to Savatage79 and sharing my experiences with him/her as well and will be happy to help him/her manage his/her addiction as best as I can.

You both are totally right, believe me I totally agree and it's what I need to do right now because I have told myself before there's no chasing the money, so I know that's when it gets rough.

I just need to lay low a bit and like you said Rachelle just play for fun.

Gonna try to relax a bit now and take my time with it.

And Alex man, if I burned away 40k or so over night omg... I think I'd have to go dig a ditch and bury myself lol I would lose my mind!

Wise decision, my friend! Fortunately for me, the $40,000+ was all house money and the incident took place at a time when I was in good shape financially. In 2011, I remember depositing about $150, working it up to abt. $15,000 and blowing it all. That one hurt a LOT more as I could've really used that money at the time. If I recall correctly, that was at Las Vegas USA casino and, while accredited, those guys were AWFUL when it came to withdrawals and that's exactly how they got me.

Yea they let it linger for ya, that sucks.. That's what bovada does do occasionally is it'll just sit there and it's like I have to totally lock it out of my mind that it's there. I would kill to rack it up that high tho, man I hope one day I can get on a hot run like that.

Don't you hate it when they take forever to pay out? It would piss me off to no end every time I couldn't wait and ended up blowing the winnings as a result.

The solution to your problem is Bitcoin. It is cheap, and payouts are much faster than waiting on physical checks.

You are correct, Coinbase does not want bitcoin to gambling site transactions or vice versa because they are regulated and operate within the United States. However, if you use an intermediate wallet after purchasing your bitcoins on the Coinbase exchange, then there is no issue. So for example, you set up a wallet at blockchain.info, buy your bitcoin at Coinbase, send them to blockchain.info, and then send them off to whatever your preferred gambling site(s) is/are.

When it comes time to withdraw, you use the same operation, but in reverse. Withdraw to your blockchain.info account, then send funds to Coinbase, then turn them into whatever your local fiat currency is. It costs very little time and money to implement this next step and it will keep you safe from any issues related to account closures.

Here's a discussion of how to go about the aforementioned process safely over at the /r/poker Reddit subforum. Outdated URL (timeout)

Still the only place I can seem to ever make a dent in which at least I can win somewhere but man it's frustrating. All of my cashouts are from bovada and I have been enjoying the other rtg games out and about, the games themselves and their features mainly. I've tried casinomax, inetbet, cherry jackpot, uptown aces, then I swung over to slots lv... And I at least racked 500 at slots lv but took some bigger shots at 5 bucks and lost it.

But it's disheartening i can't seem to catch fire on some of these other rtg sites. I get moments where I might start hitting for 40 50 70 bucks but it always seems to fall flat. I bump my bet up and where on bovada it seems to actually escalate, it's how I've racked up a couple grand when I have done so ... But damn these other rtg sites feel truly like their next to impossible to have a great night unless I deposit 250 to 500 a session and start rolling at 5 to 6 bucks.

Just another quick nod, cashed out and they pulled the funds on Sunday and this morning they were in my bank account. Their visa fast funds is definitely solid if you want to ever go that route.
