Question Issues With My Paypal Acct

So you too are getting the same error as me when depositing?

UPDATE: I just again spoke to paypal support agent on the phone before they shut at 6:30pm, I was on the phone to them until now and I explained in detail everything and every step etc etc, they already have the screenshot of the error message from the other day etc etc. So they in the end have now created another new ticket for another department to look into it and investigate it further. Because the first investigations they done found no issues what so ever.

But if @Playford7 can please confirm he to is having the same exact issue as me then please make sure to report it with paypal and create a ticket so they too can get it looked into, it will help us both the more people that report the same error message!
I’ve had lots of issues, wanting card reader verification which I done then failed numerous times upon deposit from my bank to Paypal.
insufficient funds messages which is not the case, I gave up late on last night and tried again today yet had the same issues.
I was promised a response last evening and had nothing back, I’ll happily just leave Paypal.
I normally make gambling transactions via my bank as have no mortgage or sow issues anyhow.
It’s just handy for things like the comp and to transfer overseas.
stuck £50 in my skrill just incase and nobody used it lol.
but I’ve made numerous tickets and no response mate.

Ok thanks, and do you get the same error message in the screenshot I posted in previous page of this thread? The same "Regulatory Regulations" error message?

No mate. Well not until a few hours back.
i was only attempting to use the silly thing to sort dino out his winnings, after the card verification and the nonsense about insufficient funds I gave up.
they can keep the tenner I’ve got in there, it’s really not worth the hassle.

That is the first thing I did days ago when I first encountered this issue. I googled the entire error message, the results found was on some forums and on reddit and yes on paypal community site too and none of them even got resolved and none of them had any updates on the fixes or causes.

So at the moment it appears there is no answers. It is just one of those weird frustrating issues that is stopping me from using paypal in casinos at the moment, which totally damn sucks to be honest with ya :p

So I have had no alternative but to use Neteller yet again and pay those disgusting Fees!

Why not using Trustly? I find it a quick way to get my winnings paid, plus it's free.

I mentioned earlier Dream, set up a Skrill account, even if you only use it temporarily till your PP gets sorted

Currently they do not charge at all for debit card uploads, casino deposits, transfers, withdrawals so will cost you nothing.

Only downside if you need cash from machine or make debit card transactions in shops, their card costs about £7 annually, alternatively a big win can be transferred to you bank account (linked when creating the skrill account) for around 3%

Hope this helps.

I have a skrill account. I just switched to neteller a few years ago. Neteller fees are more than Skrill though, even though Neteller own Skrill!

If you do that, set up a revolut account, then use the skrill card to top it up, no fee that way so apart from the yearly card fee, costs nothing ;)

But you do not need to register a debit card with paypal. I just always with every transaction always pay from my paypal balance! I deposit the funds instantly from my bank account which I just login too and click make payment and select paypal account payee then amount etc etc :)

That is correct, however, since you used to have credit cards linked they are still on record for your account even if you unlinked them.

I only told you what helped in my case. Registering a debit card made all the difference.

Is part the balance what you have now in your PP from a credit card upload? Even just a single cent would be sufficient to have the entire amount marked.

As @colinsunderland suggested, transfer the entire balance to a trusted friend and have them send it back, you basically "launder" the money, getting rid of the credit card trace.

Wait a moment, you might have a point. When I used to play at 3dice, I sometimes helped broker via paypal. So I still have some balance from that in pence in my account, perhaps some of those pennies are still linked to those transactions from many many months ago.

I will transfer the complete balance to my bank instead of sending it to someone, it is only a few pound. I will see if that fixes it. I still suspect it wont fix the issue. I also was told that I do not need to register a debit card cos they could see I have my bank fully linked with my paypal account. So he said you do not need to register a debit card that is for that same bank account. As it is basically irrelevant.

Thanks for the tip, will do it now and see if the transfer of the final bit helps clear any existing linked pennies......

EDIT: Update - Nope it made no difference, still get the same error with a now 0.00 balance in my paypal account!

Hopefully that is it, there is more Paypal take into account though, one being the risk. They are, in effect, giving you credit when you do a direct payment from your bank account. They review it regularly, and do block some higher risk ones, and gambling gets caught in in that quite often, thats why I suggest trying with a debit card, if that works then its an internal decision to temporarily block the transactions you are trying to make. Frontline staff rarely know this happens, let alone what to do, so if thats the case, good luck getting to the bottom of it :(

I just tried placing a quick order at a vape store I always use, only 1 item to test it, I do not need it. I would have cancelled it before I clicked confirm if it worked. But it also now gives me the same error on the vape store too. So it appears it is affecting all purchases for me now.

So obviously something is seriously wrong with my account that is blocking all payments.......... regardless....... I am totally not sure what the hell is going on now. Really not happy about this. Paypal agents keep telling me my account is 100% in good standing and it has already been checked multiple times and no problems was found.

I suppose I will wait and see what this other team will find with this new ticket that was created earlier on.

I will keep this thread updated though once I get anymore news or updates regarding it. This probably will not be until next week now though.

To be honest, the Paypal support was completely useless when I had the issues. When I confronted them with the debit card linkage for solving the problem they were totally surprised and could not explain what made the difference.

Hope you can get it sorted.

Yeah agents are not overly helpful most of the time anyhow, as most agents are not tech savvy people mostly and when it is new issues they have never dealt with before they are then pretty much clueless. It is like hoping that we get a tech savvy agent who is actually in the know, who knows more than the average agent, but those are few and far between and like finding a needle in the haystack.

It also does not help in the fact that everyone is working from home pretty much, so proper investigations are basically much harder to do as it is all being done from staffs homes instead, so they might not have full access to the systems like they would have if they was in the offices etc etc. But hey we are all in unprecedented times and we have to take this into account and understand staff are under pressure too and not all issues can now easily be solved because they are working from home.

It might just be the case that this issue might not be fixed until this pandemic is nearly over and staff are back in offices so proper investigations can fully be done.

Thanks for your help though, also thanks to everyone else who also tried and helped me! I appreciated it.

How many payments do you have outstanding that haven't completed yet? IE ones you have paid but either haven't came out your bank yet or have only done so in the last 48-72 hours? If its more than 3 or 4 then I'll bet once theyu have all cleared properly, it will work again.

None, as I said, I always pay from my paypal balance. I never pay with my linked bank. When I want to make a transaction with paypal. I login to my bank, and transfer the amount I need for that transaction to my paypal account balance, then I make the transaction with paypal. I have never once made a payment with paypal with a linked card!

Ah right, that is weird then, I thought you were paying by instant bank transfer, not loading it first. Is it instant now when you upload money as it used to take a few days which always stopped me doing that.

Well I had an email that was from the new team who investigated again and they said that payments was being stopped for a security concern and that they should no longer be stopped.

So I went and tried again and guess what? Still getting the exact same error..........

They are all just now talking nonsense. Why email me and say that when the problem has not been fixed, pretty damn pointless. It appears I just can no longer make any type of payments with paypal anymore. Which is such a shame. I am totally totally angry and fed up with that company now.

Maybe Mod can change thread title as its only you with issue and has nothing to do with paypal stopping Uk players from using it to gamble

Is there a company you're not fed up with?

You're like the gambler version of eeyore.

One day you'll come on here and tell us all of some wonderful news :p

@ESCJAMIE - Yeah I was gonna ask @dionysus - To do that.

UPDATE: So I now just added my debit card which is linked to my bank obviously and it also again made no difference, I also verified it, I got the code pretty much instantly to verify it.

So as it stands I still can not make any payments to anything with my paypal account even now with a debit card registered and verified on my account!

How about asking paypal to close this account and then you open a new one, different email address. As you said the same message pops up at different casinos, so there is some sort flag on that paypal account.

In a way paypal have got so big they don't seem to care about solving problems even though many now rely on their system, it's integral to using the internet in a way.
