Hi just looking for some imput on this as to weather or not it is the norm.

Decided to give an online casino a try after seeing the add on facebook so anyway joined up with Crown Europe casino.

On joining made a Deposit of 100.00 and was given a bonus of 200.00 for joining, whoohoo, any way played the slots and got a free spin bonus and won 1700.00 odd so was real happy decided to cash out 1000.00 so did the withdraw thing and went back to playing. Next day went in to check on the progress of getting my money out but saw it had been denied. Then got an email from them to say that i would first need to wager 6000.00 befor i would be able to withdraw any winnings. Then tried to just withdraw my initial deposit of 100.00 but that was also denied with the same reason given that i needed to wager 6000.00.

Being new to this i would like to hear your opinion on this as to me it seems a bit crazy and imposible that i need to wager 6000.00 from a deposit of 100.00

Thanks

Ouch.

Welcome to the world of online casinos!

Please note that in the interest of fair gaming, you must wager a minimum of 20 (Twenty) times the sum of your deposit plus your bonus before withdrawing any amount higher than your initial deposit.

i.e. You deposited £100 and received a £200 bonus. 100+200=300, 300x20=6000 - This is the £6000 wagering requirement that you have to meet before you can make a withdrawal, it's absolutely standard practice at all casinos when it comes to bonuses.

The good news is that with the bankroll you have now, you have a very good chance of meeting the wagering requirement and being able to make a withdrawal, just stick to sensible stakes (maybe £1-£2 per spin) on low variance slots, and you should be fine.

The wagering requirement at Crown Europe isn't too bad TBH, there are far higher than that out there!

Well said Chopley <insert random vegetable here> :p

Goose......did you really expect a casino was just going to give you $200 with no strings attached? Anyone doing that would be broke in a month. It's just common sense really.

Regardless, at least you've learned your first lesson and it may not cost you too much.

Just remember that some games mighf be excluded and that bet amounts might be restricted......always read the entire terms and conditions of any bonus you take.

Oh, and welcome to casinomeister. Stick with the accredited casinos here and you can't go wrong, and feel free to ask questions in the forum as there are plenty of experienced members willing to help.

This is of critical importance.

As tedious as it may be to have to do so (and it is tedious), Nifty is absolutely correct, always read the terms and conditions and understand what they mean BEFORE you accept a bonus and BEFORE you wager one single penny.

Some 'bonus' offers are horrible to the extent that you're effectively setting fire to your money from the second you accept it, forget making a profit, you'll need a miracle to even get your deposit back.

On top of that, unfortunately, most casino software doesn't prevent you from breaking the terms you are bound to, so it'll let you play prohibited games and/or at prohibited stakes, either of which can completely invalidate any winnings you may accrue.

If you want to play 'stress free' then just play without bonuses, whereby you will always be able to withdraw any portion of your balance whenever you want to.

If you choose to play with bonuses, get used to reading terms and conditions :)

Thanks guys for the replys, so the only way to go is bonus free, from now on i will read the terms an conditions :eek2:

It depends really Goose, bonus play can be a great way to extend your playtime without spending extra money, but you do have to understand that the money basically isn't 'yours' until you meet the wagering requirement.

Certainly if you want the chance to just DEPOSIT > PLAY > WIN > WITHDRAW then you want to be bonus free :)

Goose, make sure to ONLY play the games the bonus allows you to play. For instance if it says slots only then only play slots. However make sure whether it says if you can play progressive slots before you wager anything on one. In other words make sure which games you can play and can't. If you don't, and play something within the terms, regardless if what you may win, the casino can deny your winnings. The BEST way to avoid this, in my opinion, is don't play a bonus. Rather be safe with less than sorry with more. :) Welcome to the forum.
