I play online casinos everyday.

I've been making on average 15 a day profit.
If I played everyday, that would be 105 a week, 420 a month.
I just think it's not enough for how much 'work' I put in, and the risks involved.

It's alot when you consider the factor "it's free money" as it's profit. And any profit is good profit, but I get bored very easy doing it. I'm fortunate that i'm currently a student and live rent free and don't have any major bills to pay.

Do any of you guys make a living on casinos, or just use it for extra cash?

I think it depends on what and how you play. Even so, I doubt many would recommend anyone to try and make a living out of casinos. Ultimately, they will be the ones making a living out of you.

Back in the days when 'bonus bagging' was all the rage, I was making more after finishing work, than when I was at work. I think my final total was around 50k profit. But that was all put safely away from the all too-welcoming coffers of the casinos.

If you want to make a profit out of them, there are plenty of strategies to be found. I'm certainly not advocating the use of the Martingale system here, which has to be one of the worst 'strategies' I've ever read. I would suspect that, short of doing a 100 spin and wish on a slot machine, the only feasible way would be to play games with minimal chance of loss, such as blackjack, craps, or red/black roulette.

Thinking back to when I was a student, which wasn't that long ago, it seemed all too easy to make a small deposit, win a small amount that you are happy with, and then walk away. But the thrill of winning will always come back, except next time you may not be so lucky, and then can come the 'chasing of the losses' which is always bad news.

If you can afford to do it, then fair enough, and good on you if you do average a profit of 15 a day. But I wouldn't advise making a career out of it! There are certainly far better jobs to be had, and while the odd flutter here and there doesn't usually do too much harm, you have to know where to stop.

That's my advice.

I've been playing online casinos virtually every day for coming up to 8 years now... :eek2:
I've made profit 7 from every 8 months, but it's definitely not enough to live on. What it means to me personally is that I can gamble for up to several hours every day without it costing me anything. (My gambling has been entirely self-funding since May 2001).

If you can consistently make 420 every month I would say you are doing extremely well - and way above the average for most gamblers (who's average would be negative).
If you can stick to what you're doing, remain patient and don't go chasing bigger profits there is no reason why this can't be a long-term 'second income' like mine is.

Take care & Good Luck to you!

Thanks for the replies guys, it's appreciated.

I was actually thinking of just stopping as I know what i'm like. (For instance I'd probably spend a few months profit on one stupid bet, and blow it all making the last few months pointless.)

But it's just one of those things I need to master - patience. I think you've hit the nail on the head, with this:

"If you can stick to what you're doing, remain patient and don't go chasing bigger profits there is no reason why this can't be a long-term 'second income' like mine is."

Absoloutely spot on. There are definatly profits to be made by online casinos, it's just that casinos rely on gamblers to:

* Have a winning streak. Get greedy, push their luck and lose their profit.
* Have a losing streak, get a bit nervous and try and win it back asap.

Hopefully i'll remain focused, and not panic if anything goes wrong.
