Is it me or...

That is a very generous offer.

Just thought id point out that In case anyone takes it the wrong way Tirilej is not looking for Reps to offer bonuses as such.

She is just wanting Reps to be more active and join in. After last few months which led to one of reps leaving she just wants to show that they are appreciated on here and they should be able to be active, as members enjoy there participation and not all members see them as just people to complain to.

I'm curious to know, if it's not about bonuses and offers (which this thread was essentially started about), why then didn't the majority of you show your support when I started the 'Igor Appreciation Thread'?

https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/betats-igor-appreciation-thread.63658/?t=63658

Know that I'm not passing judgement here, but that thread was designed to act much like a petition to show Igor he was appreciated and try to convince him to stay, however the response was very underwhelming, and if I was Igor I'd probably find it quite discouraging, as I myself did.

Like I said, no judgement, but I find it interesting that some of you preaching rep appreciation, weren't involved in the above mentioned thread, when that appreciation was probably more needed than ever at that time. Just makes me think about some of the comments you've made.

And just in case it's mentioned, your dislike of me is no excuse, as that should be set aside for worthy causes, and the thread was about Igor, not me. ;)

Just to reiterate: while the recognition was appreciated, Igor's absence (and by that, I mean active participation -he's still around and checking in and always fully apprised) really does have to do with a rather full plate and remaining focused on the larger details to insure players' needs are met while we (CM_BETAT and I) try to fill his shoes (though big shoes to be sure) here in the forum.

Yeah I understand and appreciate that Betat, but that doesn't change the fact that a nice appreciation message would have been nice for him on his departure. Seeing as it was a fairly stressful time for him in general, regardless of the catalyst for his absence, and a show of faith from the whole community would have at the least helped washed any bad taste left in his mouth from his final experience here.

Just saying.

The number of CM exclusive promotions has dropped significantly during the last year or so? I don't think I've played ANY CM exclusive promo in between Guts DOA 1st and 2nd annual championships (and none since). I know that BETAT is trying but they are pretty much alone these days. Back when I joined this forum there were 32Red, Redbet, 10Bet and others posting all kinds of cool promos with free spins, free tournaments, bonuses, ND offers...

What happened? :(
Actually, this is partially my fault because I've been pretty much out of the loop for the past several months. I normally send off an iGaming newsletter once a month, and mass PMs every blue moon or so to keep the iGaming reps up to speed on what's going on - many of whom are extremely busy, and like they say "out of site; out of mind."

There are a number of casinos that are waiting for my input on special promotions. I'll get off my duff and get back to them.

As for Igor, I can imagine how busy he is, and he has two well-primed reps doing his job for him, which is the way it should be. I'll probably be seeing him in person in the next several weeks. Who knows, maybe I can talk him in to coming back. :D

I should also add that the summer is normally slower than usual since so many people go on holiday, and then they get swamped when they return. :D

The first rep I thought of who is very attentive and generous is BETAT. When a BETAT promo is for CM members with XX posts, invariably newbie's show up, no intro post just XX bogus garbage posts to qualify for the promo. This really irks me and I wonder how the rep feels about us letting garbage like that happen...

This is something we try to avoid - and the reps are free to limit their promos to different levels of membership if they want. For instance they could have some cheesy NDB for the newbies, and then run a FREE Porsche giveaway to the Meister Members or something like that. :D It just takes a bit of planning and ingenuity - that's all.

As for showing appreciation, for a few months a couple of years ago I had a plugin that allowed me to give awards to certain members to include iGaming rep of the month. This is something I can look into. Thanks for the reminder.

Now I recognize you! The guy that get things done.

Welcome back Bryan

Oh go on then.

A free tenner to the first 10 CM players who send me their email address.
One time only! Offer ends at 10am CET
Hurry up!

I say free, there's a 5x wager on it :)

Thx Andy and MrGreen for this freebie. SUPERfast crediting :notworthy:notworthy:notworthy

I don't think this is the reason. Criticizing casinos when something is perceived negatively has always been a part of CM, just like praising them when something good happens.

It's more that overall, there are fewer active reps on the forum. Guys like Andy, Ben, Mark and Enzo were WAY more active a year+ ago. Now the BETAT rep is pretty much the only active rep here*, and he's the only one doing promos.

*By active, I mean reps that are participating to all kinds of discussions, including those that aren't directly related to their casino.

I wouldn't have been aware of that, given I only just clocked up one year as a CM member a few days ago. My comment was based only on my experience of rep activity in those 12 months. :)

It's quite a bit different now than say 3 or 4 years ago. I'm sure that part of it is that the reps have more to do, there are lots of other forums online that I'm sure they have to handle complaints or questions from too - plus I'm sure they have tons of stuff to deal with besides just that.

One thing that I was thinking though, I can imagine if a casino rep is friends with everyone and then they run a promo with certain rules - then they get a bunch of PMs from people who say "Come on, you know me...can't you bend the rules..." I don't know how much of that there is going on, but I was thinking that maybe it's not good for the reps to be TOO familiar with people because there will be a percentage of players who will try to take advantage of it.

I don't think it's like that. I believe they can spot really fast if someone are trying to take advantage of them.
..and I believe they get a lot of requests anyway in here;) They are used to it...unfortunately.

Besides, just because someone are posting doesn't mean they are our best friends.

I agree with this 100% chayton.

I have experience in the customer service sector, and there's a fine line that must tread between professionalism and becoming too friendly. Otherwise, like you rightly pointed out, customers soon expect more, or a higher level of service, because you are 'buddies'.

I think all the reps here balance that skill well from what I've seen. To be honest, I think we can all be more appreciative, but I don't have an issue with the reps contribution here overall. They show professionalism by not getting involved in petty issues such as 'johnny gate', yet they also seem to chime in when bigger industry issues arise, and of course individual complaints.

I don't think we can really ask much more than that.

Anyway, wasn't this thread about promos and special offers?

As a freelancer I got a lot of my 'buddies' calling me up at 9pm with a rush job saying, "You can just whip this out by my deadline tomorrow morning, right? Since you're just sitting at home in front of your computer anyhow. I was going to go to --- but they were going to charge me."

Anyhow, sorry for the derail, carry on with the bonuses and freebies! :D

I don't think that is anything to laugh about. Promos and special offers are a way for the casinos to show that they appreciate us, and I can assure you that we appreciate feeling special. Nothing wrong about that :)

A thread is about what we want it to be about.
There is a reason why so many reps have stopped posting, and I think that is important to talk about too.
Also our behaviour towards them, the lack of respect many are showing.

This place is not just for gamblers. It's for everyone in the industry.

Ok - that was the second intervention. I've moved the off topic posts to here:
https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/63975?t=63975

Stay on topic people. Thanks!

The topic is to see what sort of incentives we can give to igaming reps to get them more involved in the forum. It shouldn't all be about promotions and bonuses. How slots work and casino management topics are much more interesting.

I feel in terms of exclusive promotions, the focus has shifted towards Facebook. It's the most ideal social outlet as good PR spreads likes wildfire.

As to why the Reps has lost interest in this site - I remember when I used to play at 3Dice 4-5 years ago and I would frequently lurk on the forum; there were so many 3Dice complaint threads. When they chose to stop contributing to casinomeister, those threads died off.

I think this is something 32red have learnt. It's always best to say nothing. Even when they say the right thing, it often results in more complaints.

The number of CM exclusive promotions has dropped significantly during the last year or so?
I won ~$90 on 32Red's CM exclusive Red Hot Devil promo recently!
If you ask me the CM exclusive promos have increased over the years.

...there were so many 3Dice complaint threads. When they chose to stop contributing to casinomeister, those threads died off.
Did 3Dice say they were no longer going to contribute to the forum? I see them log on almost every day.

Sorry, just read that. :) One idea is to try and get them to compete with each other for the love of the forum members. (Popularity contest :D)

...they get a bunch of PMs from people who say "Come on, you know me...can't you bend the rules..." I don't know how much of that there is going on...
Isn't that what a good rep does? (If it's a reasonable request.)

I've asked several reps to solve problems recently with little-no success.
A couple of examples; I signed up to enter a free tourney which later made me ineligible for the sub.
I was having problems playing at a casino because I couldn't provide the correct ID. (Mobile phone number.)
On both occasions I got no help and these are not unreasonable requests.

It seems that some of the reps are no better than live chat. In fact, I think some of them are chat reps...
They don't offer anything to forum members.

So you're saying that if a rep here can't bend the rules in your favour, or are able to solve your problem like you want it to be solved, then they are no good?:eek2:

I can honestly say that not all reps are great, but maybe I'm not so damn polite always either.

They are here to do a job. Some do a lot more than their jobs are asking them to do here, and some don't think this place is so important.
