Question Is it better to take a bonus or not?

Once you completed the wagering requirments you can bet as you wish.

So if you bet below the limit as the bonus was active and then upped your bet AFTER all wagering was done, you should be fine.

This rule is not the same at all casinos. Some consider the bonus active until you withdraw.

If you have questions about rules, the time to ask is before you play. Either ask the casino by email, or by LiveChat and save the chat.

If you haven't already tried them, I'd like to suggest the OLG's online casino (Ontario only), xxx.playolg.ca. You will find only a handful of slots, but there are IGT and Bally slots that are not available to us Canadians elsewhere. Sign up bonus is only 20x wagering on bonus, no bet limits, and no fees involved with payment directly to your bank account within just a few days. This bonus is advantageous to the player. The games play slow compared to other online casinos I found, so you might want to try in fun mode to make sure you don't find them too slow. Lag is especially bad on Friday nights, they are advertising very heavily on TV only having been live for a couple of months. I do have a pokey computer, maybe your experience will be better. Cleopatra and Wolf Run at 95% are reasons enough for me to play!

Sure its not the same in all casinos, it was meant concerning casinoluck.

I certainly understood you to mean that, but I didn't want anyone following the thread to assume that was how all online bonuses work. We far too often see complaints where players expected that because they could play this way at XYZ without issues having problems elsewhere for same play.

Players responsibly.

I have browsed through this forum and see many complaints regarding bonuses.

The terms and conditions are pretty clear on the casinos.

Is it not the fault of the player if something goes wrong regarding the casino's terms?

Generally yes. But sometimes there are instances where an accredited casino might have had "clear terms" and then they have
amended one or two of them in such a way as to make them "vague terms" ie terms that are open a to wide "interpretation range".
And this is where things can get messy....for both sides, not just the player. Players can see thier winnings get voided, but casinos
can lose their accredited status because of changes to terms.

The best course of action is always...when in doubt, don't make assumptions, get the cold hard facts before commencing play.

Also, don't make the mistake of assuming that CS will always be 100% right when you ask them something. They might not be.

There have been cases where CS people have misinformed players, but did so without "malicious intent". ie they genuinely believed
they were giving out correct information, only for the player to later find out (to his/her cost) that the information given by a
"well meaning CS person" was in fact incorrect. In such cases, some casinos will take ownership of the mistake and rectify it.
But others will not and in effect say "FU".

If any casino you are thinking of giving a try has a rep here, don't hesitate to ask them for absolute clarification of anything that
leaves you a little uncertain. They are much more likely to be privy to more information than what their own CS people are privy to.
As well as having significantly greater decision-making powers than what their own CS people have.

If that means having to wait a few extra hours, or even perhaps a whole weekend, before you can start playing, then so be it.

Due diligence now, get paid later.

I now have regrets having accepted the bonus offer from Euro Palace (I will never accept a bonus anymore), why, is simple: I only play BJ and accepted my account being locked-in until such time I can fulfill the wagering requirements, I could live with that, I only play for leisure and I have lots of time BUT I didn’t count on them changing the playing conditions on me, namely the table limits. There is something unfair and unethical about NOT being able to withdraw and the casino changing the limits when and how they want, it’s a lose-lose situation for the consumer. When you play for 1 unit bet and it suddenly goes up to 10 unit’s minimum, there is a HUGE difference, like 10x the difference. This situation I will be taken up with the appropriate authorities. I will never accept a bonus offer again, ever, unless this issue is amiably resolved.

Just want to say that this situation has been resolved (see casino complaints non-bonus issue section). Thanks Wim!

Opened multiple accounts today.

I can confirm without any doubt that whether a player takes a bonus or not, the video slots will pay the same.

I did not have a good day today but learned that every casino has different bonus terms.

Inalso found that microgaming only casinos are not a loose as multiple platforms. Even though it has not been long, I can say without any doubt, micro gaming only casinos are not as good.

I also received 3 emails from the playtech casino I tried. Offering me very high second deposit bonuses. I refused and asked them to close account.

I think casinos use bonuses to be competitive but somehow this can hurt a player. In many different ways.

The first casino I played was called 32 red, although the video slots paid me absolutely nothing, their bonus terms are clear.

Casino luck is as good as it gets for me, I made some money after taking the bonus. I got paid and made more non bonus deposits which I lost, but enjoyed. Good casino.
