Case Study - Sally from the UK has just made two deposits totalling £2000, she's unable to deposit anymore money but feels the casino could at least give her some goodwill gesture. So she opens the live support tab and the conversation goes like this:

Support: Hey Sally!

Sally: Hi, I've just lost £2000 on 'Feed Me' Slot and wondering if you could throw some goodwill my way as you can see I've been playing for 2 hours straight and I only hit one feature which paid £21.50.

Support: One moment please while I check your account, Sally let me speak to my manager and don't forget to read our 35 pages of terms and conditions. Please can you confirm your name, full address, Date of Birth, last deposit amount, last 3 digits on your card, the last withdrawal and your blood type?

Sally: OK... It's xxxx, xxxx, xxxx, xxx, xxx, xxx, blood type O Negative.

Support: Thank you for waiting. You have successfully passed our extreme security vetting procedure. Won't be much longer please don't forget to carefully read the wagering requirements!

Sally: OK

Support: I'm delighted to confirm on this occasion my manager has fully authorised an exclusive 50 FREE spins on Starburst for you to play, please note this is a one off and you must read carefully the bonus wagering requirements.

Sally: OK. I have just opened the slot and it works out at just 1p per spin total 50p? But I've just spent £2000 with you.

Support: Thats all we can do. If you feel you have gambling issue please read our 15 pages of responsible gambling ways we can help you.

End.

Just another typical day online. Do you find this a little insulting? Or are you one of those players who will defend the casino until your last breath and think it's a lovely thing for them to do?

Here we go again.

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen so to speak.

Consider any deposit made lost. If you don't want to lose the money deposited, then don't play.

Casinos are there to take you money. There is no need to defend them.

This didn't actually happen it's just a typical fictional scenario (don't take everything so seriously!), it's a bit of fun to engage in conversation on something which happens to many.

You missed a bit....

What they say

Support: Please hold a moment while I check your account :D......

What they mean

Support: Please hold a moment while you think I am checking your account. What I am actually going to do is take a quick piss and stick the kettle on and see if anyone wants to nip for a crafty fag.

Spot on! I've added those parts.

I know that it didn't actually happen. But there appears to be a bit of a theme developing during your most recent topics. That's all.

Hello Sally here, Fictional my arse.
BTW I still spun those 50 spins even after my moaning hoping and praying down to the last 1p that i'd win it all back.

I know this mate who went to his GP to ask about a penis enlargement, apparently the doc just took one look and laughed him out of the room.

I feel really sorry for him and hope someone can help him

Sorry about that Goaty, I suppose I should have a lot more control in my position and respect your patient confidentiality.

I have been reprimanded by the GMC and this won't happen again.

Why should they give you anything really ?
I'd rather they put more effort upfront into making the whole playing experience better plus better rewards systems overall , rather than handing out token freebies to players who beg for them . If you lose then you lose . There's plenty of more important things that a casino should be concerned with like speeding up withdrawals , simplifying terms and conditions , providing good promos / loyalty schemes etc

As someone who makes deposits in that range I can tell you a few things which happen in the real world.

Firstly, I would never ever contact support and ask for money because I had a bad session.

Secondly, it might take a few days but in the majority of cases you will get contact from someone at the casino representing VIP support. They will generally just introduce themselves and let you know they are there should you need them and almost always give you a comp of some sort. This varies massively between casino to casino but they generally come in the form of a no deposit bonus with low or no wagering or depending on the outfit something like wager free super spins.

Once you have established a relationship you might then be in a position to speak with your rep after a bad session and see if there is anything they can do. Again, this all varies from casino to casino but generally works.

There are some exceptions to the rule. Very big casinos generally need much bigger deposits to get you on the radar i.e. the betfair or unibets of the world. Then you have those not so great casinos like drueckgleuk where everyone is a VIP and as such the best you can hope for is an almost unbeatable no deposit bonus. And lastly you the downright bad outfits who will never contact but these are the same outfits that will do everything they to delay paying you and you have to wonder why you were ever playing there in the first place.

But back to the fictitious story posted by the OP. If you really do deposit 2k and bust out quick. Sit back. Watch your inbox. In most cases VIP will probably come knocking and will generally have a nice comp to say hi.
