Pinanababy69,I will miss the boisterous bitch the most. I just loved reading your posts. Always on point with me!!!
Eduun, you don't know how much that means to me to read that. Anyone not willing to read a long ass rant, please move to another thread. It was my birthday...had a few drinks and feel like "sharing", lol.
I've only been a member here for a few years, but prior to that, I've been an active member of many different forums and I can remember like yesterday my first forum experience. And your words got me to thinking of who I admire, or whose posts I look forward to and who I have looked up to along the way.
I first stumbled on EZBoards about five years ago or so. And I was fortunate as I stumbled across some of the best people I have ever met. I met some shitheads along the way, but we'll save that for another day, lol.
A few of my dearest friends from there came and posted for my birthday, and I hope they know how much that means to me....that all these years later, they still remember even if we've "lost touch".
LisasLuck and Unicorn - We all worked together at Oysterboard, which at one time, was THE EZBoard forum. I don't know what to say about these girls except they are awesome. We've had our disagreements about issues, but we have always respected each others opinions, and most important, our right to have them. We all left OB around the same time, and our contact has been sporadic, but they were both here yesterday, and that means the world to me.
Swampwitch - What can I say? She inducted me into Bitch Bootcamp. Remember that Swamp...with Ord and Sorrell and Mary? I can only hope to ever have half the wit, and post with a quarter of the flair that Swampy does. She has always been someone I've looked up to. Her and Sorrell have been in business together for years, and are one of the few "teams" that have worked out. It speaks volumes for both of them, and their integrity. Swamp, tell Sorrell I said hi!!
ATGBarb - Barb was my in between...after EZBoard, but before Casinomeister. Been in the business for ages, and well respected. For some strange reason, she took me under her wing...and showed me that pure emotion isn't always the way to go. And that there are always two sides to every story. We have totally lost touch, which makes me sad....she was truly one of a kind.
Then I found Casinomeister. God, where do I start? There have been so many people here who I look up to, and who have taught me so much. Obviously Bryan himself number one. I admire what he does here, and the balance between casinos and players that he tries to keep. And I've learned what a truly difficult job that can be. But to have built the rep he has, and maintained as long as he has...he's obviously doing something very right. And this site and forum really is one of the last places that people can come and hope to get some resolution to problems. I am a player, and I have been an affiliate in the past...and I'm not sure if most of the people here realize how hard it is to balance the two...and to try to remain impartial. I think he does it as well as anyone can. I wish I had half his restraint sometimes, lol. He is someone who has my utmost respect.
Spearmaster is one of a kind. If you look up integrity in the dictionary, you should see his pic....you know that Wasabi-San one...he he. He is one person whose opinion I value over many others. And someone I would always listen to. He is impartial, and always tells it like it is....whether you like it or not. He has been a true friend, and an invaluable sounding board when I needed one.
Jetset has always been kind to me here, from day one when I PM'd him introducing myself. He always has his finger on the pulse of what's going on (perfect example, the Hype Gaming debacle). He was a huge supporter to me with the Jackpot Factory stuff last year...and pointed me in the right direction of who to bitch at in regards to ECogra. I think he probably opened a few doors as well, and for that I'm grateful.
Simmo...what can I say about the muppet man? I love him to death.
Mrracetrack...we were members of a private forum years ago, but had very little interaction. It wasn't until the Kentucky Derby last year we started communicating, and we've been good friends ever since. He is controversial, and has been banned from here in the past. We don't mince words, and we've had 4 hr phone discussions that were basically disagreements on certain topics. But what I respect about him is his passion for his beliefs, even if they don't agree with mine. Yeah, he can be a bit abrasive, and I don't always agree with his style...but he is one of my dearest friends.
So many posters here over the years.....John Steed, Kasino King, Slotster, Tim5ny, VWM, Winbig, tennis_balls, Swede, Mousey, Venetian, Managra, Silcnlayc....too many to mention really. They have all influenced me one way or another.
I'll close off with one of my fav people of all time....Greedygirl!! Where are you Deb? She still holds top spot in my heart for absolute best post of all time with her reply to Boaz Sasson in the Jackpot Factory thread last year. She doesn't make a ton of posts, but when she does....I read every single word, at least twice.
So the point to this whole ramble Eduun, is that your words really touched me. To think that there is someone who reads the shit I write sometimes, and actually absorbs it.....is awesome. Sort of like Pay It Forward. I truly wish you the best, and hope maybe you'll come back to us someday.
