I'm currently listening to...

This is a new arrangement of a tribute song to Mikio Fujioka, one of the most talented guitarists of recent decades.

This version added some vocal parts to the song, but the power of the song lies more in the instrumental parts and in the people playing the song. Almost all the musicians playing here are OG BM Kami band members (just like Mikio Fujioka).

Music has meaning. Sometimes more than usual.

Let's have one of Bristol's finest, Elles Bailey!

I saw her supporting Cardinal Black last month.

People, please ignore that post by Webzcas. He's a esteemed member of the forum and a nice person too (Goatwack told me so). But he's also a apple user, so we can't really trust him.

The correct answer is of course Massive Attack, one of the pioneers of the Bristol based trip hop scene.

Bristol? Yeah, my missus is from there.

To the uninitiated, it's full of Bristolians that speak funny English

I play this ditty for her every day, to stave off her homesickness, the good partner that I am ?

It's cool music Goatwack.

Get with the times old man!

In keeping with the theme, a perfect compliment to the hippty-hoppety and Jap Joker trilogy!

Though in truth, I don't think you could find a more juxtaposed song to Ternur's latest entry if you tried.

Listened to in earnest more in the early hours, technically, but who's counting

Ok so last April I travelled 750 miles across England to see my favourite band RPWL four times in a week.

To wrap up their tour they played with their home town orchestra back in Germany. They have just released on their Youtube channel this morning the video of them playing Hole in the Sky, from their debut album God has Failed.

One of my favourite songs they have done, which gave me goose bumps each time they played it when I saw them last April.

But this version IMO takes it to another level, especially Kalle’s guitar solo at the end where he is backed by the string section of the orchestra!

Happy RPWL Friday everyone!!
