I'm currently listening to...

"Gila! Gila! Gila!

- Michael Bolton would be proud. Never has he faced such stiff competition from such musical convicts!

The range. The wordplay. The structure. Nurse!!

This one's dedicated to Ternur himself. Another of the four tracks of the Split Decision EP - I know he'll love it :p

Autumn is coming. But fear not, Insomnium released a new song to make it a bit easier.

We roam the night

Sorry man, I initially read that as 'we room the night'. Which in the grand scheme of things would make that a song about lodging and sofa-surfing.

Specsavers, here I come baby!

After sweating my balls off for a large part of today, I find it important to chill with versatile Kiwi starlet Benee, at least sonically.

And to think, that's her actual car. Who knew?

I have as yet been unable to find what I am currently listening to on YouTube, that is anything other than an LP cover with the music being played. But, alas, I have started to get into Symphonic Prog for my sins LOL

Going to see this particular band on Sunday 1st October much to my wife's horror LOL. :D

It has been a long day. Time for some tunes, here is Kalle Wallner with Three. Part of his solo project / Blind Ego with Arno from Subsignal on the vocals.

I had the pleasure of meeting him back in April when he was touring with RPWL. What a lovely bloke. Although I did embarrass myself somewhat, by calling him a magician with a guitar.

We all do it. It's perfectly ok to simp over people we admire once in a while.

We can console ourselves with the fact that they'll forget we ever existed, probably within the first five minutes :p

Possibly, although I did stalk them for four of the five gigs they played in the UK over 6 days lol

The title track from their first original studio album released in 2000 ( this recording was remastered at the end of 2020 and released as a 20th anniversary edition ), Yogi Lang the lead singer had just recently experienced the passing of his dad. The words, oh my god when I first heard this, I was a blubbering wreck, as it was very poignant to me and the passing of my dad. The words I can relate to so much...

Friday again, YAY!

Still kicking myself I decided against seeing them at Earls Court that year, which was their final ever tour :-(

Got to see Sir David of Gilmour on the opening night of his Rattle that Lock tour in Brighton though in 2015. First time I have ever cried at a gig!! Only to be equalled in London in April earlier this year...

Like an apple, a metal song a day keeps the doctor away!

Is there ever a time not befitting The Vasc? I think not. And what better way to see out the week than with an essential playlist popper!

Because as we know, Monday isn't technically a thing until waking up - fact

There are levels when it comes to showcasing the tunes you listen to in this thread and after Sunday I plan to take this thread to a whole new dimension when it comes to levels :D.

However, this is not necessarily a good thing, I could reach the floor and beyond, smashing through it with a giant hammer in hand.

All will be revealed early next week after I have attended the gig I will be going to on Sunday night.

And no, won't be revealing who, what or where until after the event. You won't be able to sleep now will you? It will be akin to counting the days until Christmas when you were a kid LOL

Ok as promised I am about to imminently take this thread to a whole new level. As stated above I went to see a band on Sunday and managed to capture in close up front row view over 30 minutes of epic footage.

In the process of editing it now and no doubt will take forever for YouTube to process the 4K render of the video. But hey it will be worth the wait, promise!! :D

You cannot beat going to live music events and gigs. Maybe it is because I am nearing the big 50, but can't wait until the next one, which is likely to be in Bristol next month, this time with Mrs Webzcas in attendance also :)

The concert thread (and this one) made me realise that my taste in music is pretty much in line with the rest of the members here

So let's enjoy this new Paledusk song together!

When my kids won't get up in the morning for school, I have now bookmarked that, so I can play it at full blast!
