Various reasons which include

I am very old school and prefer to deal in cash
It is part of my 'staying in control' in relation to gambling, if its not there I cannot exceed budget and CBA to go out for PaysafeCard, worked well for years lol!
Part conspiracy theorist so no one can check how much I have or don't have or rob me online
When I have a big win, I like to look at the 'wedge' rather than just numbers on a screen

Only real difference is I don't have the thousands under my mattress

Why not get an old fashioned building society account with no online access, rub the security code off any debit card without looking at it, and just use the branch cashier to withraw and deposit money?

Online shopping is about to get more secure as the banks are going to require a tel contact number or mobile to send a text to, in order to verify a purchase.

Yeah I was pissed last night and didn't explain myself very well. Late last year through to earlier this year I took quite some time off work due to family illness. During that time I got into the habit of drinking often and while drunk I found myself making deposit after deposit. To ensure that I didn't over spend during that time I got into the habit of withdrawing most money that hit my account. Since then I have carried on that habit even though I don't have to watch the pennies. The habit has served me very well as it happens.
I think its time I put my big boys trousers back on and show more control

It was quite a good idea then to take this action to protect your dough, I think the deposit limits and control tools casinos offer are a bit flimsy, as you can change them too easily. And stressful life events make me turn to gambling as a distraction too, you get into that zone and can forget other stuff for an hour or so, but then when I lose and have to return to 'normal' life the problems seem worse and harder to handle

Well you are not the only one. Casinos nowadays have so many deposit options, all the e-wallets, cryptos, now direct bank transfer, e-interac transfer... from my home i can deposit on casinos from all the places i can store money so it's ridiculously dangerous so i got to the point where keeping cash at home is the best because if i ever get to tilt and rip instead of being few clicks from another deposit i have to take the money go to bank deposit, return home and the important thing is while depositing online it's only digits on a screen, it looks like monopoly money so i tend to go over my head while if i have the cash and i count 200$ to go deposit to bank, i can see it and realize ooh.. by the time i get to leave home i had time to cooldown and reconsider.

To be fair I have wanted for a long time now keep some money in cash at home in case of a power outage again like we had years ago cause everything at the bank is computers and they have no back up plan so you can't access any money, more so these days as everyone uses cards which I don't understand so you're not far off,lol. Actually, my grandma had money all over her house back in the day, you know you old people.

Really, any bank holding a website which you can access often has fallbacks, redudancy, huge diesel generators and UPC's from here to tokio that would scare you. Apart from the SLA's that are signed by several company's who guarantee uptime, service in downtime and what more. The system is pretty robust.

However, banks could hit the red switch, blocking you from doing a withdrawl. My own bank has a 7500 withdrawl or payment limit a day. I never knew untill i wanted to make a outgoing payment of over 25k in one day. I had to spread it out over 5 times 5000 to keep a small reserve.

Pretty stupid.

Nope they had nothing here when it happened for backup. You were sol. Now they might have something in place but prob not. I was lucky I found the one gas station still open. The casinos still had power.lol

I can't tell if you are serious or trolling. Lmao. Just convert it to Bitcoin it's a lot easier and safer. If you have your seed number for the wallet you can delete your wallet and never look back at it again.
