I am pretty much a poker guy mostly (Hold'em, a little Omaha, lots of video poker - DDB, DB, BP, Wheel Poker Deluxe, Wheel Poker). This year I started venturing into slots at live casinos, and after a few months of fooling around with some penny machines, won $350 at one of the local Oklahoma casinos betting 50 cents. The slot machine was "Capricorn Mountain", which I played because I am a Capricorn, so figured it might be good. Anyways, got the entire set of symbols lined up showing parrots except one which was a "10", and I actually thought the machine was broken because it just sat there for about a minute before it started doing anything- then I realized I had a really good payout coming. Had a thought to ramp it up to max bet ( $2.50 per spin ), but I didn't follow it and stayed at 50 cents - next time I will listen .

Recently did a $50 deposit with Bovada which has been all over the place from $5 to $65, and now sits at $6.74. Will need to see if I can grind it up on the micro stakes poker tables next. Looking forward to having fun and learning from others experiences.

is the $50 on Bovada all Texas Hold em and Omaha? Or are you playing some slots there as well. Did you play on PokerStars/FTP back in the day yourself? I enjoy poker also

The $50 is what I deposited to play. I was mainly playing video poker 5 cents Bonus Poker and Double Double Bonus Poker, just to try out the casino. I dabbled a bit with the .02/.05 NL 6-max and did OK, but blew my poker winnings on video poker.

Just took my last $5 on the site, bought into a .02/.05 NL table, got dealt QQ, flop KQT, went all-in and 2 others called. One guy had TT so I had him, but the other guy had AJ, and no board pair . So it looks like another deposit if I want to play anymore on that site. Got any favorite sites for US players?

Back in the day, I would play on UltimateBet (cheaters, I know now....), and Party Poker before the ban in 2006. Never tried FullTilt or PokerStars. Took my original $50 deposit on UB and cashed out about $2000 profits playing 0.25/0.50 LIMIT Hold'Em over about 2 years from 2005 until the 2006 ban. Had a Neteller account, but fortunately it was empty when the 2006 ban occurred.

Ahhh I love it! I played on UltimateBet back then as well! Remember trying to get to Aruba? hehe
Shame you never played on PokerStars, they were the absolute best.

I don't know anything about US facing sites sorry. I do remember playing poker against you guys on a lot of sites etc back in the day but that was many years ago now. There is a US facing section here and a US players messageboard, perhaps have a look/ask around in there.
