What country are you in?
IBAN (International bank account numbering) is basically your country code/banking provider/BIC (bank identifier code) or sort code/account number all in one long string. This is used in the EU countries.
Example is this:
GB29 NWBK 6011 1338 8888 88
1.The first digits are the country code (GB29) 2.The next four letters are your bank's abbreviation (NWBK) in this case NatWestBank 3.The next 6 digits are 601113 (Your bank's BIC/Sort code found on your cheques or statements.) 4.The last 8 digits are your individual account number (in this case 38888888).
This should be on your statement as said in a previous post.
IF not in the EU you will have a SWIFT code (you have this in the EU as well and that too should be on the bank statement.)
A SWIFTBIC (but usually just called 'SWIFT') code is Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication Bank Identifier Code.
In the above example the SWIFTBIC would be NWBKGB29 - Notice how it differs from the IBAN method in that 1. and 2. are swapped around. Don't worry; it'll still be OK.
So, if in the EU use an IBAN as described above.
If outside, use a SWIFTBIC - Simply put your 4 letter bank abbreviation/your 2 letter 2 number country code/your 6 digit sort or BIC code/your account number whatever that is.
In the above example SWIFT would be: NWBK GB29 6011 1338 8888 88
